Had a very good experience here. Have two labs who love to swim, they enjoyed the very spacious pool. Great boarding facility and staff are great. If you looking for a new vet give Pet Care Center Of Apopka a try.

Wow. So, the old maxim that "timing is everything" seems to have played a prominent role in my even taking time (I rarely, if ever, go this route) to submit this post. Had it not been for another pet owner bringing this "issue" to my attention in conversation today, when I went to PCCA for our cats' annual vaccines, I likely would never have known that either I am inhabiting an alternate universe...or a couple of the posters here fall into one of two categories:

a) A competing business "stooping low" (really low) to undermine this remarkable facility and Dr. Greer (who is SUPERB) or...

b) Someone with a personal "ax to grind" (origins unknown) who is, clearly, committed to character assassination.

In seeking to counter these "voices of dissent", I can speak from more than forty years of owning, loving and always seeking the best possible care I could find AND afford for my dogs and cats. These years, and these many pets loved and lost, have included time living in New England, the Upper and Lower Midwest, the "Left Coast" and, finally, Central Florida for almost seven years.

During the "almost seven" years here, I have not been a PCCA client for the entirety. In fact, it is only the past 2.5 years during which I have had nothing less than the "great good fortune" of finding Dr. Greer and his staff and turning over the care of our two cats and one dog to this man. Thank God, we found him!

I will spare the details in recounting how, exactly, my wife and I ultimately came to walk in the door at PCCA, but suffice it to say that had it not been for both an exceedingly costly - and, as time and Dr. Greer's far less extensive and expensive treatment bore out - and COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY treatment protocol at another vet, we would never have entered PCCA. Again, "timing" and "fate" dictated that course, when we decided that there simply HAD to be a "better way" to have one of our cat's bladder problems taken care of.

There was. However, were it not for Dr. Greer - who did everything he could to save us money and our cat trauma (including an unneeded surgery, scheduled by the other veterinary facility) - we would never even have KNOWN about it. The man was both a "genius" and a "miracle worker", as far as we were concerned, and we will take that impression to the grave. THAT'S how strongly I/we feel about this man and his business!

Consequently, reading the few assessments (including personal attacks on the young lady, Becky, mentioned in a couple of posts) that seem bent on groundlessly denigrating PCCA has REALLY stoked my "mission to correct" the record.

As I said, I cannot even remember having taken a not inconsiderable amount of my personal time (at 11:00 PM no less!) to "cheer online" on behalf of any other business enterprise. This exception to that prevailing "rule" is, quite simply, an investment in seeing justice done by someone so deserving.

I have NEVER had a more caring, more compassionate vet, and if young Becky has ever had a "cross word" to say to either a pet or an owner, then pigs really do fly!

I have personally known dr. Kent Greer for over27 years. I have taken all of my animals to either pcca or river oaks animal hospital and would highly recommend either facility. Dr Greer and his wife Annie have met me on numerous occasions after hours to treat a sick animal. Their knowledge, staff and compassion are unsurpassed. I treat my animals as my children and would trust no one else to care for them.

Dr. Greer, Anne Greer and all of their staff are the most compassionate vets I have ever met. They are always caring and understanding. They go above and beyond the call of duty in my book. They always call to check up on our pets after they have been there. Dr. Greer and Anne Greer are the best vets in town and I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pets like family.

We have been bringing our pet to PCCA for over three years and our experience with Becky and the staff there has always been amazing. Whether we are there for a routine visit, day boarding, overnight boarding or if our pet is not feeling well the doctors, Becky and staff have always given us outstanding service by showing us compassion and understanding. Becky always makes us feel important and that our pet is important to her this is why we continue to come back to PCCA. We have never experienced any hidden charges nor have we had Becky or the staff be rude to us. PCCA is a fantastic place for your pet!

the "manager" beckey is rude and unhelpful. rolling her eyes at customers and makes you feel stupid for asking questions. they refused to do anything in the room with me, they brought my dog in the back and he cried the entire time... apparenlty beckey doesnt realize that her facility is small enough for me to hear her yelling at my dog and telling the other staff that this is a waste of hr time because she doesnt think i have enough money to pay for the services. horrible human being. horrible place.

This is the worst vets office I have ever been in. Not only do they mislead you on pricing but they told me they removed a tooth from my cat and then never did. And I paid them over $500 to clean and extract a tooth from my baby(which they never did). If you care for your pet do not subject them and your pocketbook to this dishonest place.

I wanted to tell everyone about this deal you must know about. I have always taken my dog to the local pharmacy to get a Rabies Vaccination only to find out once there it was expensive to get additional vaccines.

I was driving down the road and a sign that said "K-9 Rabies Vaccine $8.00." I stopped in at Pet Care Center of Apopka to get the vaccine and found the entire yearly shot package for only $99.00. This is unheard of.

I received all the shots, tests, including heart worm and all for just $99. Everyone needs to know about this.

Guess what? I even got a free bath with the package. Stop by this place. It is great service and a great. I am glad to see a Vet that is offering real value in this economy. Thanks Pet Care for helping.

Best boarding around. If you are a pet owner looking for a very secure, clean, beautiful and fun place for your pet to stay, this is the place to board your pet.
I was impressed when I stopped in and right on the spot they were very receiving and excited to show their facility. It was so clean and spotless.

They showed me the resort and they have a beautiful play area complete with a real swimming pool. I saw other pets that were boarding. They were running, playing, swimming and happy.

Two weeks later I took my pet there to stay for 4 days. When I returned to pick up my dog he did not want to leave. great place to board. Very friendly and caring people and a safe environment for my pet.

This is the best boarding place around. Very spacious. This is not a place where your pet is stuck in a cage. Try this out! You'll love the Pet Resort.

My dog got very sick last week. He was very lethargic. We loaded him in the car and took him to the nearest Vet. We went to two Vets and everyone was closed. Finally we found Pet Care Center of Apopka which was open late.

Thankfully there was a Vet who found the problem and treated our dog. We are so thankful they were there for us. Everyone was so nice during our ordeal. The staff was so efficient and knew exactly what to do. I remember they said, "Everything will be ok, the Doctor knows what the problem is."

I will definitely come back. I would recommend this Vet.

My dog was in their boarding facility for 6 days. When I picked him up he was breathing heavy and fast. When I got him home he continued to have gurgly rapid breathing. I took him to my vet who said he had fluid build up around his heart and lungs. My vet said the kennel staff should have noticed his abnormal breathing so he could have been treated sooner. This is a life threatening condition. He has never had any heart issues or symptoms before. Of course the Pet Resort of Apopka is not to blame for his heart issue, but I do blame them for not noticing his breathing problem. When I called they said his breathing was the same as when I brought him in 6 days earlier. No compassion, no apologies, nothing but excuses. BEWARE, if you love your dog, do NOT board them here.

We tried P.C.C.A. last year and have mixed reviews. Our recently adopted dog needed some TLC, and being on a limited budget, but called out of town required what P.C.C.A. advertised. It appeared to have all of the positive aspects we would rather apply the fee to than being locked up in a cage somewhere else.Did we pay for all of the ammenities, no. Could only afford the 15 minutes of cuddle time per day. That was the first sign of what was to be. Was she locked up in a cage the rest of the time? We never got to see what is "behind the door" though the attendant who greeted us at the kennel building was very friendly and an obvious animal lover.I guess our worst experience is indeed the fees as everyone seems to come back to. For us, it was the $10 deposit. We were told this would be applied to our final invoice as a credit once services were rendered and we picked up our dog. However if you do not keep the reservation, it is non-refundable, a reservation fee. That we had no problem with, totally understandable and the standard among many businesses. Unfortunately, P.C.C.A. did not abide by the standard, and did the quick sidestep when asked about our credit when picking up our pet.All of a sudden no one seemed to know how to apply the credit and they were busy with patients. So they had me call the office and talk to Becky. I made the extra effort and called, and she does live up to the reputation of the other reviews listed here, very rude and uncaring. We haven't been back. Whether it is a policy of the owners or not, it is bad customer service and an obvious affect on business. You can try and sell a product by it's package, but it will always come back to what's inside.

I love this new Vet!

I took my two dogs here because I was offered a free exam for new clients. First I want to comment on the cleanliness of this place. No bad smells and very clean.
I would have paid for it because the employees were so nice and showed real concern for my pets.

The Vet was very thorough. I like that they don't just treat the symptoms, they actually test and look for the cause. My dogs had a really bad skin condition and within a few days it is cleared up.

I would definitely recommend this Vet to anyone. It is nice to get treated really good when you pay money for services. I was also offered a free tour of their resort. Nice place.

Thanks to all at Pet Care for looking after my babies. You guys rock! Looking forward to the Open House. Also going to use the park since there is so much parvo around at public ones.

Although I had to wait a little bit on a Saturday afternoon it was the only place open when my dog developed diarrhea on the white carpet! It was worth it. Fair pricing and very kind staff. I will definitely be back to try the boarding soon.

Since they built the day care spa and pool i feel they over charge customers for the health care of pets. After being a client for 6 yrs they overpriced me to the tune of $600 and wanted another $800-$1000 for more tests to tell me what was wrong with my dog. The vet could not figure out without more tests, he sent me home with $100 antibiotic and never even called to check up on her.I took my dog to another vet in Apopka for a 2nd opinion and within 10 min. he knew what was wrong, it was very clear she had cancer , every lymphoid on her body was swelled. Pet Care Center of Apopka has no compassion for animals any more in my eyes.If your dog needs to get out and swim, take them to the free dog park in Apopka and buy them a kiddie pool for your back yard and don't allow them to rip off people so they can pay for their spa and pool and overcharge client's for pet care.In memory of my pet, who needed them and they were not there with compassion or concern for her i will never bring any pet of mine to them.

I know it sounds silly but we have not travelled due to our pets and the fear of putting them in kennels. But a family emergency forced us and we went to check out the Pet Care Center of Apopka. It was unbelievable! When they showed us the huge swimming pool area, which looks just like a luxury human pool resort we were sold. Both pups did well and came home tired and happy. I cannot reccommend it enough. Go and look for yourself. Actually i dont think my babies wanted to leave.
