This hospice is truly unique. They offer a wide range of services to the patient and for the family, as well. Everything from the nurse, chaplain, aides, social worker, volunteers and music therapists. A wonderful team is formed that coordinates such an awesome service that you know it must be heaven sent. These halos are straight and provide a ministry for the body, mind, and soul. The information you need is there and if they don't have it they will find it. The encouragement you need is there...by usually more than one member at a time. The comforting is there before you realized you even needed it. This hospice team offers a #1 service of compassion for their patient but, also, for the family. They know you by name. They are not only there to serve you, they are there to care for you. You do become family. Maybe not all employees are like this at hospice, but I can tell you that we were very blessed because of this service. God Bless each of them and may you be so blessed. Highly, Highly, Highly, Highly recommend! Wholeheartedly!

I don't know if I will be able to express how I truly feel about this wonderful group of caring people. I know when they first started coming to help with my mother, we "all" just fell in love with our "team", especially Mom. They offer something that goes beyond, just pain medicine and the standard care you expect from a hospice group. I truly feel that the team, which included Mom's nurse, the chaplain, a music therapist (which is truly "awesome"), social worker, a certified aide and the volunteers, went above and beyond what was expected of them. They each came into the house and always brought joy, comfort, as well as the care that was needed. They not only took care of their "patient" (my Mom)but they also ministered and cared for our entire family. I will say if you have the opportunity, to get a musical therapist, it is an awesome thing that truly can help ease the burdens and pains of someone who is sick, as well as though around that person. I also can't say enough about the nurse that was "sent" into Mom's and our lives during this time. What an example of how we each should strive to live our daily lives. There are many nurses around, but so very few that minister while they provide the medical "stuff". Everything this group did, was right on the mark, everything they did was perfect, everything they did was just what had and needed to be done to make the journey for my Mom and our entire family a little easier. I'm not sure about all the "teams" that Willis-Knighton employees, but if you are lucky enough to get "our" Gold Star Team, know that they have become a part of our family NOW and I know they will become a part of yours as well. Whether it was a bouquet of flowers, a friendly smile, a sweet prayer, a laugh, even a shot, they truly understand that their mission is much larger than just the "patient" they are sent to care for, even though they give world class care to them as well!! I know there are many hospice groups out there and I also know you won't find a better group than the individuals that were God sent to "us".

This hospice is a service of Willis-Knighton Medical Center. The "team" assigned to my wife was composed of a Chaplain, nurse music therapist, aide, social worker and of course the volunteers. Never in my eighty some odd years, have I met a more concerned, loving, compassionate group of individuals. They were always pleasant and took the time to answer all questions. They first became friends and as time went by they became a part of our family. The quality of life for my wife was made much better by these individuals, and my family and I shall be eternally grateful.
