American Naturopathic and Holistic Association

I was working a as homeopath in India for several years and had a homeopathy diploma from a school in India. I now want to work as a homeopath in the US but clients were asking me about being certified in the US. It was great that I found the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association (ANHA). Once I became a member ANHA was able to evaluate my training and had me work clinically with a homeopath certified in the US. It was nice because I did not have to start all over again with my education.

The American Naturopathic and Holistic Association is the only local association that protects the profession of Traditional Naturopaths (Naturopathic Doctors and Practitioners) in the DC metro area. As many of its services it offers natural health care classes to it's members. It is a sister organization to the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine which offers a variety of natural health care services such as Naturopathic Exams, Holistic Health Consultations, Homeopathic Consultations, Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Nutritional Consultations, Tai Bodywork, Colon Hydrotherapy and more. The Institute also offers natural health classes.

In attempt to support the goals of the association members their board of directors and volunteers have accomplished and are currently working on the following:

Contacting State commissions and boards on behalf of its members to gain sound legal definitions on their practice.

Lobbying efforts to support natural health care practitioners and assist in the prevention of unfair treatment of practitioners.

Collaboration with other civic and professional organizations in the support of natural health care.

Providing educational information and programs for its members.
