I have used E and B Boarding for over 2 years now. My dogs LOVE to go there and even begin getting excited as we drive up the driveway. They jump out of the truck and run right in to greet Barrett and/or Emily. In fact they don't even look back at me! They love the playtime they get while they are there and I am glad to have a place where they can play hard and get the exercise they need. I have used other kennels before E and B opened and found them adequate but my experience with E and B puts them into the excellent category. I will continue to use them and I urge anyone who loves their dog and wants them to have love, attention and lots of playtime to try out E and B. It is a gem.

It is truly hurtful to read a review like this one. We do have air conditioning, actually four units. We may not get your call immediately when you call, because it is the nature of the job. We don't have a big facility with a receptionist working the front desk. When we are back with the dogs, we typically don't answer the phone because we are with the pups and it can be quite noisy. We try and be very quick to call you back. If it was just this past week, I actually may have missed calls merely because we got a Blackberry which I have found to be quite intimidating, but I am learning how to use it. We are probably one of the smallest kennels in town and I promise you that we are not under staffed. We have 20 runs in total. That is 10 runs each. Anyone who boards with us on the regular usually says "whose side were they on this week?" because although we work as a team, I usually work the right side while Barrett works the left. I promise you that we don't leave dogs out in the heat. They have the option of being on the inside portion (that is air conditioned) or the outside covered portion that is not. Many dogs, even on the hottest of days enjoy spending their time in the outside portion of their run watching the birds, squirrels, etc. They get to run and play with other dogs (if they are social) a few times a day while they are staying with us. Many people love the fact that there dogs are pooped when they get them back. People bring their dogs for daycare during the week for that reason alone. The excitement of meeting and playing with new dogs can exhaust a dog. It definitely is not because we are leaving them out. The fact that your dog was "dying" for attention was not because they were neglected by us, they just missed you and were probably happy to have their mom/dad back!. Barrett and I work 7 days a week at home. We LOVE what we do. We are open 12 hours a day during the week and even have hours on the weekends. It is unrealistic to think that we'd be back in the kennel all day long. We take the dogs out to run and play at different points throughout the day, but when we don't have them out playing and when we aren't feeding/filling water bowls/filing, we do come into the house, work in the yard, etc. Everyone settles down and chills out until the next "outside" time (if we were in the kennels all day long, the dogs would probably be even more exhausted as they'd never settle down). When we aren't in the kennel it is quiet (except for the radio playing) which I take as proof that the dogs are content and aren't riddled with nervous energy. They are just hanging out until the next playtime. Sometimes dogs do pee on their beds during their stay. If they do we will wash the bedding. If you check them out in the morning, and they've done it during the night, sometimes we just don't have time to wash it before you pick up. All and all I really wish that you would've let us know your disappointment. I am racking my brain wondering who left us so disappointed. Nothing can compare to feeling in my stomach when I read your review. I am so sorry that you were unhappy and can only hope that you know that we truly care about the dogs we keep with us. Whether it's their first time with us, or their 20th, I promise you we care. Just know I have taken you comments to heart.

While Emily and Barrett are both nice, caring people, their kennel is under staffed. My dog was exhausted when we picked him up and that is just not normal for a kennel stay. I believe they allow them to stay outside in the heat way too long and the kennel itself does not have air conditioning. My dog also had a terrible skin rash and his bedding was urine soaked. Emily told me they would wash the bedding before I picked him up, but she did not. My dog was also DYING for attention, and I truly felt he was just left to his own devices most of his brief stay. This was reinforced by how difficult it was to reach the kennel by phone and how they always come running out of their home instead of the kennel itself.
I would not recommend them to any friends or family and do not plan to use them again.

E & B is a great kennel for pets! The kennel is on their property just behind their home so they are with your pets 24/7! They have convenient hours and offer doggy day care in addition to long term boarding. Their fees are comperable to other kennels and they don't charge extra for bringing your own food -- in fact they prefer it! But if you can't they will feed them of course! They also dont charge extra for medicating your pet should they be on meds.
