Dr. Harrison and her staff are the very best, most caring office we have ever been to. Our dogs actually love going for a visit! Her lab techs are awesome as well. It is the only place that we can take our Shepherd without a muzzle! Do not confuse this office with the one in Westwood.

I was forced to go tyo this vet when my dog needed surgery because of the cost. 3 days after the surgery the same problem arose. They did no follow up with me and offered no help. I found a foundation to perform the correct surgery and they need records from value vet. When I phoned them they said 24 hours. When I called back after 24 hours the story changed to they would not release the records until the balance was paid. I was appalled. They basically ssai let the dog die. Something has to be done in order to inform people that this organziation had people that are rude and un caring towards animals. The vet herself is nice but her staff is horrible.I will be contacting every organization out there and report this action

This is the WORST place ever!!!!!! My girlfriend and I had to take two of our kittens to get neutered at this place. One came out okay but the other kitten came back to us with a stitch not properly placed and now we took him home to discover the gash between his testicles!!! They didn't even put a cone on them! As first time owners, we didn't know about this until we spoke to someone knowledgable about cats. I DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL. The work was shotty and left my kitten suffering. They don't care about animals at all. They should be ashamed to call themselves vets and now we're left watching over our kitty trying to quelm his pain. THANKS Vet Value.

some of the comments gave me pause...BUT..after YEARS of using VCA (near me..ergo..easy..but $$!)..my rescue, she's almost 12 now..feline...VCA during an application of softpaws...took her to Vet..SHE said.."breast Cancer" (as a woman less than a year from my OWN breast cancer..I freaked)..well.due to her age, etc..the TOTAL cost for masectomy, etc..almost $1500. I took her ValueVet (a friend referred)..and Dr. Harrison..a complete sweatheart..said..this is not cancer..(all she did was feel it..see it any fluid etc)..she said..just keep an eye on it..but..it's just a cyst...total cost..under $50...VCA was going to charge me $1500 for a dangerous an unnecessary surgery. ANd..the 'cyst" has NOT changed at all...(I do keep an eye on it)....the techs..very pleasant...it's further away...but my gosh...that Dr. Harrison did not put us through an expensive, dangerous, unneeded surgery...amazing!...

Despite a Lhasa rescue group recommendation, I was not so sure about going here after reading about some people''s reservations about this place. My initial drop by to check out the place for myself & office visit were positive so I decided to bring my 8 year old Mal-Shih to be spayed & for dental cleaning. All went well & I was pleased with the entire process during my drop off & pick up & subsequent rabies shot for 5 visits on a week. The prices were good & have no complaints about any of the staff there.

My cat was severely allergic to the Metacam medicine that they give post-operation. I ended up spending an additional $700 in an emergency clinic. While they did an excellent job with the overall procedure it has taken weeks for him to heal from this. I suggest you either opt out of the pain medicine or request something else.

Dr. Grusensky is terrible!! During my consultation last week he advised me to buy a book on my dog so that I could become more knowledgeable because he was too busy to answer all my questions.

We adopted a puppy from the LA Pound and she was taken to Valu Vet for her shots and to be spayed. The vet and all the techs took great care with her and she came home to us tired, but in otherwise great shape.

We were so impressed with everyone there, my husband drives in from the San Fernando Valley to take both our dogs for their shots or any other procedures they might need.

The prices are great, the people are great. You won't go wrong if you take your animals here.

Value Vet is simple. They get you in and out. They are not going to spoil or baby you. Every vet clinic knows your pet is a part of your family, if you need them to validate you then go to some pricey place and get equal care but with ass-kiss bedside manor to get you to spend more. I'm sure there are happy mediums but this place gets the job done.

My cat had his vaccinations and his neuter there, no problems!!

Having been a vet tech in the past I don't see this behavior as a big deal. And to the person below that said "it is rare to see people who work the front desk who have any sense of humanity, common sense or intelligence. I guess it's because it's not a job that requires a degree." UP YOURS. Going to college doesn't make you intelligent or kind... it sure didn't work for you.

I just took my 2 unruly (my fault) dogs into Value Vet on Pi co andthe loveliest ladies were so very helpful in giving them theirrabies shot (thankfully just required every 3 years or I would consider trading them in for a parakeet.) They even helped meget the dogs back into the car after witnessing a near disasterin getting them out of the car. Social dudes they are not! It's such a pleasure to get such wonderful service from a veryprofessional staff. We will be back in 3 years.Dorothy Asbury

My cat was neutered there and it was fine - he did well and I had no trouble whatsoever with the service I got at Value Vet. He also gets his shots at this clinic. Everyone I have ever spoken to there was helpful and professional. I'm sorry other people have had such horrible experiences!

The people who work here are very rude and incompetent. They make it as difficult and inconvenient as possible for you to trap and fix feral cats. Not only do they not work with you to offer an appointment that is convenient for you, but at times they just refuse to do the spay/neuter even though you have driven all that way and set aside time to be there. Value Vet on Pico frustrates me beyond belief, but unfortunately there are not many options for low-cost spay/neuter around.

My cat hasn't been the same since she was spayed there, vomiting or won't eat, lathargic. She's being checked out by a different vet--I wouldn't trust them again.

We found a stray cat that was went into shock. The Doctor who was working that day we were there was very honest and thought we'd have to have the animal euthanized. We declined and they gave the cat some penicillin and some subcutaneous fluids. We dropper fed the cat for the next several days and keep in an extremely warm room and once it's temp came back up to normal it snapped out of the coma it was in.

Anyway when we were at the vets we observed the Doctor chewing out the incompetents behind the front desk which we enjoyed. From what we have seen having gone to numerous vets it is rare to see people who work the front desk who have any sense of humanity, common sense or intelligence. I guess it's because it's not a job that requires a degree.

My advice is educate yourself, check out other vets and get information about your pets sickness online and ask alot of questions. If you have an emergency it will cost you lots of money and this is not really the place to take your animal too if that's the case.

However since I knew what we were limited to and what we were willing to do I was impressed the the Dr on duty negotiated with us on that to do. I can't wait to see his reaction when we bring this animal that he swore was gonna die.

This place has the worst customer service. The Vet yells at the people working the front desk, the front desk people are extremely rude. They get ghetto on you when you have a complaint and they don't keep track of their paper work. You have to go on Saturdays when the relief doctor is there. His name doctor Grunksy. I recomend not going at all!

If you have a job or go to school or have any restrictions on your time whatsoever, I do not recommend going to this vet for spay/neuter. I work with a rescue group that has gone here on and off for years because it is cheap and the vet that is there during the week often gets in these "moods" where she turns away perfectly healthy animals that are scheduled for spay/neuter without examining them, claiming that they sneezed once when they were in back or something similarly unprovable. It's not just me - she has quite a reputation for this in the rescue community. Perhaps she is just feeling ornery, or she just doesn't feel like having a busy day that day, but whatever the reason it's unpredictable when she will be in one of these moods and when she is, that means that you starved your pet for nothing (no food/water after midnight the night before) and that you now have to bring your pet back home (so I hope you scheduled enough time to go back home before you have to be at work) and then literally try your luck again another time. If your time has any value to you, then the small savings you get here just isn't worth it. The vet simply has no respect for your time and effort and you are completely at the mercy of her whims.

After going to other vets, where I was pressured and almost bullied (they told me maybe I shouldn't have pets if I can't pay!) to buy all kinds of excessive products and procedures, Value Vet was such a breath of fresh air. They tell what you need, charge a very low price, and let you go on your way. Fast, friendly, HONEST service!

After years of spending WAY too much money at the VCA chain of clinics, I decided to try Valu-Vet. My expectations were exceeded. The staff was warm, personable, and helpful. Dr Robinson was fantastic-his attention to detail and warmth and willingness to actually spend time w/me was superlative. I am confident that my dog received thoughtful care by all. The fees were reasonable as well.Thank you Valu-Vet!

Animal birth control is now Value Vet it is not just birth control anymore but a full service clinic

Value Vet A newly added clinic in west Los Angeles
Headed up by Dr. Catherine L. Harrison DVM is the best pet veterinary clinic are cat has ever been to. Dr. Harrison is very friendly and took the time to go over
our cats condition thoroughly she went over all of the test with us step-by-step
her diagnosis was right on target
I also have to say that her and her team really took care of are cat everyone there was friendly and willing to help.
Another plus was that they had all the medication to treat our cats condition at the clinic
It was not necessary for us to make an extra trip to a pharmacy
Now for the prices. I found that these were the best prices in town the blood test are cat had to have were less than half the price of others clinics in the West Los Angeles area
Are cat Roo and I Would like to Thank You and your team
for the great care you provided
