I was impressed the first time, because I thought she was in good hands. The second time has been the reason I will stay home rather than leave my dog there again. First, they didn't have my reservation and made me repay the deposit since I didn't realize I would need to bring proof of it with me. I have yet to be refunded for this. I brought my dog's own food, and talked about it with the director, Jessica, who happened to take my dog back. Yet, when she came back, it had clearly never been given to my dog. I'm just glad she was only there overnight. There is NO excuse to not feed a dog. Of course, they charged me for the inconvenience of bringing my own food. To top it off, she had to be treated for kennel cough/possibly canine influenza despite being completely current on her shots. I paid over $80 for the night plust the vet bill made it well over $150 for ONE NIGHT. It looks luxurious on the outside, but they only care about money. Don't waste your money

This place is a kennel cough breeding ground. BEWARE !! When I called to inform them our dog developed it while there they said "Oh ok, thanks" and hung up. I have several neighbors that ALL have experienced kennel cough after boarding there for vacations. Never again.

Our middle-aged German Shepherd has a variety of health issues, is on a special diet, and has serious separation anxiety. These issues make boarding very challenging. We are so happy to have found Greenbriar Pet Resort. They have cared for our dog for extended periods and returned to a happy, healthy and clean dog each and every time. After less than positive experiences with other boarding facilities we are so relieved to have found them. When there were issues they have noticed, contacted us (even outside the U.S.) and handled them promptly and effectively.The staff, particularly Brett & Joey, are caring and conscientious. We will continue to use and highly recommend others try The Greenbriar!

We started going to greenbriar with our 2 dogs when they reopened and just had Dr Hirth on staff. We loved Dr. Hirth and the prices were reasonable when they started out. Since that time, they have added several new vets, two of which we would not see again. They also raised prices and provide less personal care than they originally offered. Despite the fact that they are close to our home, we will be taking our business elsewhere in the future.

Well worth the drive.......20 minutes outside Bethesda we found the greatest place to board our two dogs and cat. They all had lots of play time and space to move around. We had a vet on sight look at an ear infection and it finaly resolved after years. Very modern and nice people at Greenbriar. They have everything and care about our little furry friends

We visited before we decided to board our dog there and like everyone else, we were very impressed with the facility. I agree with the person that wrote about the front desk staff. I wish they were friendlier as the woman who checked us out acted like we were imposing on her. I would go there again but hope they work on the front desk team...it would be a great facility if they could fix that. The place is worth it!!

We have been taking our dog to Greenbriar for almost a year now and our dog loves going there! The front desk might not be as organized as they should when it comes to reservations and dates, but the staff has always been friendly and extremely caring and loving towards our dog. I would totally recommend Greenbriar to anyone looking to kennel their dog.

We used Greenbriar at the suggestion/request of our vet. Our first impressions were great - nice location, gorgeous facility and rather luxurious for our furry friend. The staff was friendly and accommodating and we were pleased... at first. We had a few minor issues that, over time, were enough to make us take our business elsewhere. We asked them to clip his nails.. they did but they cut his nails way too short and his paws were bloody and hurt. They offered no apologies whatsoever but were kind enough to add additional charges to our bill for gauze, etc. We had issues with calling and making reservations and showing up only to be told that there had been "system issues" and that there was no record of our reservations whatsoever (once they had room for him, once they didn't). The last time we boarded him we asked them to give him his Bordetella vaccine (it was due to expire during his stay and our vet couldn't fit him in) and they agreed. We got a call on our cellphone informing us that they had inadvertently given him the wrong vaccine and had admitted him to their "emergency facility" for monitoring to be sure that it had no adverse effects on him. Again, no apology whatsoever.

We don't take our dog to Greenbriar anymore. It is a shame because we were very impressed at first and gave them quite a lot business. Too many "mishaps" and too few apologies (not just apologies but the staff never seemed to really care).

Just a few concerns about this place, when I went to pick up my dog after 7 days of boarding:
they brought out the wrong dog;
then they asked if we had brought a blanket, I told them yes, and they indicated then they were washing it and it would be a minute. Then they brought me the bag we brought the blanket in, along with all of the treats they were supposed to have given my dog. The blanket was not washed, and obviously they did not give my dog any of the toys or treats we had instructed them to give.
We paid for daycamp, but I really have no idea if my dog ever left his cage. He required surgery 2 days after pick up b/c he had tried to chew his way out of the cage and broke his tooth off sometime while he was boarded there. Apparently noone noticed that. Will not take him there ever again.

We have been customers of Greenbriar since they openned. The facility is clean and the staff is wonderful. My dog loves going to Greenbriar. They have Doggie Daycare and boarding along with walks and playtime. I would recommend this place. It is a small drive, but worth the cost of gas to get there.

We recently had to board a dog for the first time and I chose Greenbriar based on its proximity to my home and the photos on their website. When we got there we couldnt have been more pleased! The facility was new, bright, clean, and very well designed. The staff at the front desk was friendly and really seemed to love animals. Everyone who met our dog was just gushing over him. In fact, when we went by their booth this weekend at the Bark in the Park event this weekend, the ladies working the table recognized our Murphy and were thrilled to see him! The prices were VERY reasonable and our dog was VERY well taken care of and was so happy when we came to pick him up. It seemed like he had a really good time. I even joked with my husband that the place was nicer than our hotel, and I was only partially kidding!
