Plano Dance Theatre

The plano dance studio started from absolutely nothing. Just the common dream and ambition to dance. Amazing teachers who dont get enough credit put there own money in the start the studio in the first place and they have created such a warm and inspiring enviroment for dance. It's not about the money, boy we should know, its only about the dance. Its a lovely place to learn everything to the fullest take great technique classes. and the whole studio is like a big family. It's nice to have people who love you all around everytime you dance. Really helps to open up and just dance the way you feel.
i love it here and i couldnt see myself dancing any other place.

I am also a ensemble member, production member, and fellow classmate to the many incredible students who attend the facility and must give it the true review it deserves. I have been attending PDT since it was established and have not stopped getting better since the doors opened. The staff is very, very well trained and care a great deal about each one of us. As mentioned before we compete to show our skill to studios in Texas and also to spend more time with each other usually creating memories that we will be reminded of in the future. During our seasonal shows, benefiting the studio and charities around town, we ask everyone wishing to be involved in the shows to feel free and join in on the fun. And of course during classes, the critiques given are ones that will make us better dancers. Not your typical critiques that teachers give to create students who dance the way the teachers want them to dance instead of what is correct. It is really a place that you will find no reason not to be a part of.

I am a former competitions dance team member at this studio, and at the time I have spent there I have grown as a person. I think that if you are looking for a place with awesome teachers, doing everything they can to be a best dancer they can be, AND becoming a better person as well this studio is where you could be.I have left only because I was doing to many things at once. But I will always remember the wonderful experience i have had with them. And to this dance I am still good friends with every single one of them. I love them and I know you will grow to love every single one of them as well! I do know that when I am finally in control of my life i will be going back definitely! There is no second thought about it at all. I am giving you my 100% best answer I could give everyone. But if you are looking for a place like I have described this would the best place for you to go to. TAKE MY WORD.

My daughter attended The Plano Dance Theatre two years ago.She had danced at other studios for 8 years, but the technique, grace, and ability to achieve had grown tremendously at this wonderful studio. The teachers are professional, demanding, supportive, and expect 100%, which makes the dances work to the best of their ability. This is accomplished by a caring atmosphere, in which makes the kids feel welcomed. PDT has a variation of classes, from hip hop , to ballet/pointe. I'd recommend this studio highly, for it is a fun, family friendly studio, where all can get involved. Not only in dance but in theatre, and voice too!

My daughter has been dancing since she was three years old. She started at PDT two years ago and has made more progress in the past two years than she did in the ten previous years. What is so great about PDT is there is a place for everyone...the serious dancer, recreational dancer, aspiring actors/singers, adults. The instructors are all great and genuinely care about the kids. What is so unique about PDT is that even though I would characterize them as a "performance" studio they also have a "competition" ensemble which many serious dancers are looking for. Even though they don't work year round on "competition" pieces, just winter and early spring, when they go to competitions they do exceptionally well, even when competing against the traditional "competition" studios that have been working on their choreography all year. Their shows are one-of-a-kind, dancing, acting, singing, comedy...they have it all and everyone gets to perform. If you are looking for a studio for your aspiring dancer/actor/singer you need to check out PDT.

I do not have a child of "dancing age" but I've enjoyed attending the past several PDT performances! They have all been very creative, entertaining, and near professional quality! The dancers execute their steps with a great deal of skill and grace. There are usually many dancers on stage at the same time but these groups move as one! This uniformity in movement carries across the age groups from pre-schoolers through adults. The actors are equally well trained and a total pleasure to watch! Every Plano Dance Theatre performance is family friendly and a great evening of entertainment at a great price! I'm looking forward to attending this weekends performance of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"!

My 2 girls both do dance and drama at PDT and the teachers are awesome!! We couldn't be happier. They have learned and grown SO much since starting here! I even take classes!! And the "spring recital" isn't your typical recital... it's a REAL show/production!

PDT is a one of a kind dance studio. The teachers are trained in dance and theatre. The students are encouraged to work hard and push themselves to be the best that they can be. The studio has a family atmospheres that fosters caring and support amongst the dancers. If you are looking for a dance studio where your child will learn to dance, act and or sing, while having a great time, and would like to see your child on stage in an amazing performance, this is the studio for your family.
