I was so impressed by the service I received from this company from the first phone call. The men were all friendly and professional at the day of the move. They made this an easy and smooth transition for me. I would definitely recommend Available Movers to others. Great service!

I used available movers this past spring and their service was so professional -everything was securely covered and packed The price was also competitive with some extra discounts.. The staff from the office to the movers were so pleasant, helpful and really cared about giving me and my family the most stress-free day of moving I ever received. Bravo!!!!

I must say I was impressed. I have had some bad experiences in the past moving but far from the case with these guys!!!
They were great!!! And I mean great!!!!
From the moment I got on the phone with Diane, to the moment the guys arrived at my location it was fantastic. Moving sucks, especially long distance, but these guys made me feel really good. They did all the work too. I helped with packing a few boxes but since I have a bad back I wanted a full service mover and thats exactly what I received; And for the right price.
Will definitely use again. Thanks again

I recently moved out of a 1 BR apartment from New York to Chicago. This was the 2nd time I've used a professional moving company, and these guys were an absolute nightmare compared to my first experience (which was with Ace Moving Company). From start to finish they've been unprofessional. Let me summarize.....

Attitude: My fiance let the movers in and when I arrived at our apartment one of them greeted me by calling out "hey, pretty woman!". That was before he realized that I was the person who would be tipping him......nice job, moving guy. Then I went to our bathroom to discover that one of them had already taken a giant smelly sh*t and not bothered to open a window, a door, anything. Literally half of the apartment smelled for over 30 minutes. I understand everyones gotta do their business, but if youre planning on your business smelling that bad, couldnt you try not to do it in your customers house?? Later, after we had offered the movers ice water, the head mover spilled it all over the counter, including on top of some important papers I'd saved. He didn't bother to clean up the water and didn't even mention it to me, so when I came back to the kitchen I realized my documents were ruined. Basically, they treated our house the same way they probably treat theirs, like a sh**hole.

Professionalism:
I'm pretty sure that the 2 movers who accompanied the head mover were just random joes he found on the street. Rather than carry my furniture down the stairs, they decided to slide ityes, they slid my nice furniture all the way down the stairs without even bothering to try to lift it. When it came to boxes, they didn't use the back straps that professional movers use, but rather carried them in their arms like anyone could have done, with the result being that they were slow and inefficient and looked like they'd never lifted something in their life. Our head mover decided that he wanted to crate some of the nicer furniture and gave us his word that crating would unconditionally protect the furniture. It turned out the crate was actually just a blanket thrown over the furniture with some ripped pieces of cardboard taped around the outside. And he charged us $95 for this!!!

Cost:
We were given a quote for $1800 over the phone, and I boxed everything that could reasonably be boxed to save money. But it turned out that the movers wanted EVERYTHING boxed, even chairs and furniture, and of course they charged me to do this. They also charged me to crate the furniture as described above. At one point the guy told us he would crate an item for the large crate price, then when he was done he just randomly decided that it was actually an extra large item that would be almost double the cost. By the time everything was done our quote had been raised to $3400. Ouch. And at the end of it, the head mover had the gall to calculate his ideal tip on his calculator and show it to my fianc in some sort of attempt to extort more out of us (we gave them 10%, which for the service we received already seemed entirely too generous). Could we call this blackmail, perhaps?

Overall I was simply appalled at the lack of professionalism and the sliminess of the movers and the moving company. Oh and the kicker: instead of it taking 5-7 business days for my items to arrive, as they promised, its now projected to take 3 weeks.

I wish i would of read the reviews before I hired them, they were very nice on the first call then gave them a deposit. When they came out to get my thing they raised the price $600 for 3 boxes more. They knew I was leaving the state and I had no other choice. When I hired them I asked about wrapping my glass furniture and was told that was in the price well it was not that was another $175. I would never use this company again

Available Movers have pleasantly surprised me with their extreme kindness and professionalism. The prices were very affordable, and the movers were very careful with my furniture. They cautiously packed all my items and provided me with all the shipping materials. There was no need for me to run around and buy supplies since everything was provided to me at the tip of my fingers.
I highly recommend for every one to check out this company and give them a chance. You will not be sorry.

Available Movers is by far the best moving cvompany we have ever used!!! And I really mean that. Before Available , we had nothing but bad experiences. Fortunately enough we found Available just at the right time when it was time to relocate for my new job promotion. From the customer service over the phone to the treatment from the dispatchers at Available Movers, we couldnt be more satisfied with level of treatment we have received from everyone. Its nice to finally get the type of service in which one would hope to receive when spending your hard earned money.

Thank you guys so much, we will definitely recommemd you to all of our friends and family!!!

First I spoke to chris about my move. He knew I was freaking out and totally calmed me down! Then Shai and another guy came, ON TIME and moved my stuff. The price was exactly what they told me. No hidden fees! I tipped them well! They deserved it!

My wife and I could not be more happy with our move. We had a team of three (headed by a guy named Marcio) that was professional, friendly, and extremely efficient. The pricing was also very good. Everything was moved very quickly and undamaged.

We also had an extraordinarily good experience with one of their salesmen, named Chris. The building we were leaving was very picky about insurance, waivers and other paperwork. Chris was remarkably responsive and helpful in that process and in tying up loose ends afterwards. A rare experience of truly excellent customer service.

This is my third time I used available movers from new jersey to orlando and I am very satisfied with this company , they did the pickups on time, no headaches no problems, a very smooth process and they delivered as they promise on time. So i really recommend this company.

I am outraged by this company! Available Movers gave us a very low quote for moving our goods. In fact, their quote was about half the cost of other moving companies. Maybe that should have been a red flag. When it came time for the actual moving day, they said they were going to charge us more than DOUBLE the amount of the quote because they had underestimated our square footage from our inventory list! They ended up costing more than other moving companies. In the meantime, our goods were loaded up by Available Movers and put in storage, held as hostage until we pay them more than DOUBLE the amount of the original quote! We are presently at the destination city, so there is very little we can do except give them the money they're demanding.

I have already filed a complaint with the BBB.

Beware when looking for a moving company-especially this one. They will over charge you and not deliver!

I was assured all of my moving needs were in good hands by the woman on the phone named Diane. On moving day-I found out she never followed up on my buildings request to cover the floors(very standard in NYC).

It was a disaster.They had no masonite so my building would not let me move in. The guys moving were really hard working and the manager Sam treated both of us awfully.Held my furniture captive while trying to over charge me. It was a truly awful experience.Finally after a call to my lawyer and 8 hours later he got nervous and finally gave me my furniture.

Save yourself the trouble and find another company

After waiting over 3 months on the claim I've filed on Available Movers & Storage, I feel that I've given them enough time to get back to me. I cannot even begin to tell you how horrible my experience was. The movers were rude, incompetent (putting small boxes on bottom being crushed by large boxes on top), damaged half of my furniture, they arrived late and were extremely rude, the "leader" had a nasty attitude and did a rush job. The sales person Sam is a typical car salesman, he'll give you the world and yet does not deliver on promises. Told me about some high tech tracking device which the movers informed me that they do not have. I've been told that they have over THIRTY claims against them. So don't rely on the positive reviews (they delete the negative ones). DO NOT use them.. unless you want to go thru a nightmare.

I agree with Jessica. Her story sounds almost the same as mine, including the unbelievably low, over-the-phone quote. My husband and I also requested that they send a rep to survey our belongings first, and give us a more accurate quote. The rep basically said that they don't do that so taking a chance, we decided to use them. The movers were polite and efficient, but in the end, since we were charged hourly, the time was more than double that of our original quote! And this was only one way!!! Putting our items in storage for a month and then returning them to us would have been about the same price one way based on hourly charges. Ultimately, we were told to pay 4 times the original, over-the-phone quote! I called the manager and complained, so he was nice enough to give us a flat rate for moving the items from storage to our new house. We were not happy, but accepted that offer, UNTIL they brought the items back. Many of furniture ended up being broken, including a king size mattress that was folded over in half! My husband's expensive, office chair had one of it's legs snapped off! It was fishy because the head mover insisted that we sign the lading form before they moved the items in. This safeguarded the moving company against any damages, and we would only receive a very small compensation if anything was damaged. Since we wanted our items out of the truck, we trusted them and signed the form. There were also bugs in our dish boxes. Horrible!!! We have filed a claim for damages with an affiliate of Available Movers, but after 4 months, have yet to hear anything. If you use their services, know that there is a tremendous risk!!!

This is the first review of anything I have ever written. I was so horrified from my experience I felt that I had to write a review about it. Please read and use them with EXTREME caution. When i first called available movers i thought it was heaven, especially after reading all of the reviews. I wanted a in-home visit for a price quote but the woman i spoke to assured me that they had a great system about price quotes and a in home visit was not necessary to get an accurate quote. Because of all of the wonderful reviews i believe her. The movers themselves were very nice, hardworking and friendly. However, I was completely mislead about the price. When everything was all packed up i was told that the final price was DOUBLE what i was quoted. I felt that i had no choice at that point-all the stuff was on the truck and i was moving to atlanta. So i sucked it up and figured "ok, i'll let this one go." I did get my stuff promptly and again the movers themselves were great. However, I live on the second floor and they told me that I had to pay for another flight of stairs b/c really mine counts as two flights. There goes another $75. WHAT!?! I was definitely annoyed at this point but was just ready to be done with them so again i thought i would let it go. But unfortunately the horror was only beginning. They lost 2 of my boxes. I called to report this 2x's and never got a call back. Then over 2 weeks later I get a call saying they found one of my boxes-"did I realized I had lost one?" The box was supposed to be in the mail that day. After a month, i was still calling them on a regular basis and I had no box. The woman I spoke to never apologized and finally told me that the box was lost saying "its weird. I have no idea what happened. It WAS in the warehouse." Then she rudely hung up on me. Again she never apologized and I only received this call with what she called an explanation after I left a message where in which I was very upset and felt like I was getting taken advantage of. Otherwise my other calls were not returned. I actually would have been upset but more understanding if they would have actually responded to my calls and actually apologized. I am still waiting for a call back from the claims department to put in a claim. So far i have been waiting 2.5 weeks for that call back. DO NOT USE THEM-AWFUL COMPANY.

We were very satisfied with our move using Available Moving and Storage. They arrived early and were very efficient and professional. The manager went over the paperwork with us and made sure we understood the fine print. Since we wanted to box up our things ourselves we chose the hourly rate with a not to exceed price. The workers were very experienced and loaded up the two trucks very quickly. Things like dressers and other big furniture were wrapped up by Available Moving personnel. I had put color coded labels on the things we boxed indicating which room or floor the boxes went to. When they unloaded the trucks about 98% of the boxes were put in the right place and there was no damage to our furniture or fragile items. Best of all the, final price was about $ 1,500 less than the not to exceed price. I had contacted about six other companies to get pricing for our move, Available Moving was always nice and easy to talk to on the phone and was not pushy like some of the other companies. We are very happy we picked Available Moving and Storage.

Let me first begin by stating that I am not an employee of Available movers so I do not have any secondary gain issues. I don't know what happened to the disgruntled reviewer but I can confidently say that the Available staff were very professional and made a stressful interstate move ( from New York to Baltimore) a seem less, almost enjoyable experience! Believe it or not - the staff was on time, quick, and responded to my many questions in a professional manner. I had absolutely no problems with my furniture. And as per the price, the owner actually suggested different scenarios to try and give me the most fair deal without compromising quality. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And I will use them again on my next move. NO BS!!!

I used this company for a long distance move. After being deceived by the salesperson, the movers were 2 hours late for pickup and sketchily demanded a cash tip. We were lied to about the delivery date which was postponed 4 times so that we were unable to be there for our delivered goods. They did NOT reassemble the furniture they were supposed to, there were damaged boxes and broken furniture. The most egregious problem was, of course, the loss of a box of valuables, including family pictures, jewelry, and a handmade quilt. A friend of mine also used this company, only to have them postpone his move by 5 days, then call the day before to cancel the entire move.

My move was so much better than I expected. The team showed up on-time. The guys were very professional and got the job done very quickly. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience
Price is right, efficiency seems to be their motto!
Available Movers were Available & Charming every step of the Move
The customer service was excellent There's no other word.
Every single thing that you said you'd do was done, and over and above the mark
Available Movers are a breath of fresh air versus other movers who I felt were not being sincere in describing the cost and process of a move. Thank you so much
