The homemade ravioli are amazing, the best I've had this side of the Atlantic! The food is delicious, the service is delightful. The owner is sincere and attentive, he knows many customers by name.

We love to frequent this restaurant, and can't wait to go again!

Btw, try the better-than-sex martini... you'll be going back for more!

This is a very nice restaurant- the food was very good, but nothing too special. The menu was large and there was alot to choose from, the waitstaff was very helpful, and the atmosphere was very clean and romantic. I was able to get seated without a reservation. The prices are slightly high, which was the only downside I could find.

Really nice atmosphere and good food. Good size portions and excellent service. Pasta dishes are especially good here. You can get a table without reservation.

They have an exhaustive wine list, the food quality is top notch, and the staff is friendly and courteous. The bread and garlic butter are to die for. Slightly pricey for the area, but well worth it for what you get!

Sal e Pepe Restaurant, located on South Main Street in Newtown Connecticut serves the MOST delicious Italian food. And it's not your stereotypical pasta drenched in red sauce. I almost always order from the specials menu where there is sure to be something delicious: roast pork, lobster ravioli, the crabcake appetizer is fantastic.

The atmosphere is casual, yet elegant, you can be comfortable dressing up or dressing down. The wait staff is very good, the bread with garlic oil for dipping is incredible.

I highly recommend Sal e Pepe restaurant.
