My animals although always scared to go to the vet, are very comfortable with Dr. Vega and her staff. I think Dr. Vega seems very gentle and kind and extremely professional and what I really appreciate is that she will combine eastern and western medicine for my animals. I followed Dr. Vega from Seco and I am very happy with this office,

This is a great office and very nice. All the staff takes extra special care of your pets and also gives them lots of love and kisses while they are there. I have never really known my pet to be happy to go to the vet and here they know where we are going and are even happy being inside and almost always just go to the back treatment area to say hello to all the staff and love to get the cookies they give... I couldn't be happier here and am very glad to have found this vet office and definitely would recommend them to all my friends and family that love their pets.

I totally agree with the reviewer below I had the most horrendous experience with Dr Vega as well. When confronted with the poor treatment (not to mention she ripped me off for close to $300), she blamed me!!! I wouldn't buy a can of cat food from this practice let alone have anyone there come near my animals. Stay away...

Dr. Vega is an extremely poor veterinarian. We have known her for several years as she's traveled from one practice to another causing problems just about everywhere she's gone. It is because of our haunting experience with this woman that we've made sure of where her practice is now located because we won't ever allow her the opportunity to see any of our dogs again.

The one and only time that we allowed her to treat one of our dogs was perhaps one of the most painful experiences for our dog in its life. She had recent surgery to remove a mass on her side and we were unable to see our regular vet for a scheduled bandage change. Instead were attented to by Dr. Vega who was dead set against following the instructions of our primary vet and surgeon who have been taking care of her since she was a pup. When we did not agree with Dr. Vega's desire to perform a differing treatment (because what she wanted to do made absolutely no sense to us whatsoever); we insisted that she contact our primary vet to discuss her treatment which she refused to do.

Instead of treating our dog with care during the simple bandaging that was required, we found that she applied adhesive bandages around our dogs entire abdomen without any cotton or other bandaging underneath the adhesive tape except for the surgical area itself. When our regular vet removed the bandaging a few days later, it was an extremely painful experience for the dog and us as we were literally pulling her hair out by the roots in order to get the bandage off. It was brutally painful and we feel that it was done intentionally by Dr. Vega to get back at us because we refused to let her go off half cocked with a treatment our primary vet would not have agreed with anyway. To no ones surprise Dr. Vega was asked to leave the practice a short time later.

Dr. Vega's forte is to blame everyone else for her many mistakes, but never takes responsiblity for her own incompetence. If you truely love and want the very best care for your pet, do not take it anywhere near Dr. Vega.

What a great experience.. Dr. Vega and staff seem to really care about my cat, while having to leave town I was able to leave my sick cat at the clinic and they did everything possible to help her. Even one of the staff members was willing to take her home during the night to assist feed her. Thank you so much for the great care.

Dr. Vega and staff are doing something really unique here. The hospital is beautiful, warm and inviting. It is like going to someones home rather than your typical sterile veterinary clinic. And like the clinic, the staff at Happy Pets are offering alternatives to the standard "take these two pills and call us later" approach so prevalent in medicine today. I love my pet and almost made the critical mistake of putting her down when I thought she was in pain and was beyond help. Dr. Vega suggested alternative therapies that brought my baby back from the verge and I cannot express enough what this means to me and my family.

I followed Dr. Vega from her previous clinic, Seco Canyon Animal Hospital, which has been taken over by people who seem more interested in lining their pockets than the health of pets. I tell all my friends and neighbors about Dr. Vega and Happy Pets Vet Center, and I would suggest the same to anyone reading this here, to take the pets that they love so much here.

Dr. Vega is a kind and gentle vet who obviously cares about the animals she treats. Her staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My dog is always happy to go to this office! Although we haven't had to deal with any major problems (luckily!) for the minor problems (such as a skin rash and a clogged sebacious cyst) we have found Dr. Vega to be most heIpful. I cannot really comment on the "alternative" medical treatments as we have not use those services from her.For those who have students going to Valencia High School, this location is SO convenient. Its located in the plaza right across the street from the school. I often make my dogs appointments for 2:30 and then I'm right there for school pick-up at 3:00. What could be easier!
