We have been through countless management companies. I have been on and off our our board since the late 90s and I am so thrilled to have found Connected. Its crazy how many other management companies are just so bad. Some never do any work, return calls or emails. Others charged us for every little thing. We just wanted a good management company to take the work off of us and we found it with Connected.

I wrote this same review on another site, but if this helps save someone from their current situation then its worth it. Forgive me for being lazy and copy/pasting :)

Sometimes it can be hard to rate a service if you dont have other experiences. Unfortunately our association has had bad luck with management companies for over 5 years now so I am an expert at how awful some of these managers can be. We we on the verge of biting the bullet and taking the work inhouse due to our frustration when our lawyer suggested that we try Connected Properties. What a difference. We could not be more happy with this company and how they support our property.

We are a very high maintenance group and our Connected manager has everyone commenting on how great things are going which is really unbelievable. We had a list of maintenance issues and they finished them within weeks. All of the companies that they have sent to provide estimates or perform work have been high quality and much less expensive than what our other mangers were charging for this work. They told us that the companies that they work with give low prices to their clients, but I was surprised to see that this is definitely true. They have a team that inspects our property each month and made us aware of a few city violations at our building that we werent aware of. We also have access to internet tools and reports at no cost that were not available with our other companies.

We own several apartment buildings and this company is the worst we have ever dealt with. If you could get someone to call you back (always questionable), their repair service was terrible. We paid much more than we would have if we would have hired the repairmen ourselves, and the quality of the work done was fair at best. Their accounting/billing system is a joke - some months you get a bill, some months you don't, and the ones you do get are usually incorrect.

Maybe if you are a large apartment/condo building with hundreds of units, they will pay attention to you and you will get some service. If you are a small owner with buildings of 2-12 units, do not waste your time with these people. You will be sorry and very frustrated.

I bought into a new building of 40 units and moved into one of the last handful of units to be sold. The initial group of owners wanted to try handling everything ourselves....

Long story short we ended up having half of our owners severely behind in their monthly dues, no money, and a lot of fighting. We finally interviewed 4 different management companies and for us Connected Managers were by far the most advanced company and actually ended up being the lowest cost of all 4. We talked to a lot of people ahead of time and they have been around for a long time and have a very good reputation. We were very concerned about a company having full access to our funds and also wanted to make sure that the company we chose would not go out of business. CM had the best overall feedback and they have ended up living up to their reputation.

I am writing this as a thank you for all of their hard work over the past year. They came in and advised us on what to do, took over everything and got our finances in order and collected all of the past due money. If you are having any issues with your HOA I would definitely talk to them to see if they can help. It has been well worth it and saved us.

Our assigned management team has taken over all of the time consuming work so we just review the reports and tell them of any changes or work we want performed. David and the rest of the team are fast to respond to our questions and have everything automatic. I have worked with a different management company in my last condominium complex and cannot tell you how much better our new service is. We love these guys.

Hired CPM to manage five of my buildings in downtown Chicago. Have been with them for over a year now and am very happy with the service. It is great to have them doing all the work that used to stress me out.

Me and a few members of my extended family use Connected to manage our properties and have been very happy. Very good at finding tenants and dealing with issues with our buildings.They take very good care of us and will use them as long as we own rentals.

This company has a solid overall management strategy as I stated in the headline. They understand the rental market of this city and have well designed processes that make sense. I transferred five properties to the firm three years ago, all of which contain section 8 tenants which can be very challenging. Connected knows the section 8 nuances and has consistently been able to find decent tenants in a short time frame. I must admit they have made a nice impact to the income of my portfolio and have decreased my delinquency rates. The key is that they are very diligent in their processes such as rent collection. I should also mention that their operations team have been excellent in their communication with myself and the tenants.
As a long time rental property owner and someone who has used other management firms in the past, I would firmly recommend their management services to any investor.

It could be I just have very bad luck but I tend to believe it is reflective of the industry as a whole.

Connected is the first management company that has 1) Truly cared and showed that they want my business and 2) Focussed on trying to keep my costs low and make ME successful. Their team has been top notch in all areas from quickly filling my units with quality tenants to handling any repairs that may come up within 24 hours. They are much less expensive than anyone else I have found in the past and certainly are of a higher caliber with respect to their processes and expertise of the Chicago market. They'll meet with you anytime, nights and weekends which is rare, but shows they understand their customer's needs.

I would definitely recommend this company and would strongly suggest that you talk to these guys if you're currently using a different company. Chances are very good you'll save money and get a better level of service if you switch.
