Ecstatic with our adorable pup!!!!  5 Star Rating - World class

We bought a Lhasa poo last may from pet pajamas and she is absolutely perfect!! We absolutely love her! Her temperament is great, her health has been perfect. I can't believe that pet pajamas would purchase any animals that are not well cared for. They seem to be a very well ran pet store. I would definitely buy my next pet there and would recommend it to my friends.

We had a wonderful experience  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

After needing to put down our 6 year old Golden Retriever from a backyard breeder, we purchased a Lhasa-Poo from Pets Pajamas. Our vetrinarian said it was her understanding that PP doesn't use a puppy mill per say, but their supplier is somewhere between a great breeder and a mill.

Our dog is wonderful. Turned 7 last week. She did have surgery 3 weeks ago to remove a tumor that is VERY common in all dogs, regardless of how they are bred. (Our friend is a vet she confirmed this diagnosis from our vet - yes, we get second opinions on our dogs).

Bottom line, it is your responsibility to KNOW what you're looking for. Do you want to breed? Stay away. If you are looking for a nice pet, then talk to people who have bought similar litters from them. We've left our name as a reference for for Lhasa-Poos. Have also left our name as a refernce for the backyard breeder of the golden retriever. Although she was a great dog, beautiful and the best tempered animal I have ever seen, she had hip dysplasia...it's hereditary. I would be careful using that breeder.

In a capitalist society, a consumer should be informed.

yorkiepoo  3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

If these negative comments are true, I must have lucked out. I bought a yorkiepoo from The Pets Pajamas in Jan. of this year and she is perfect! She is smart, loving, and completely healthy. No dog compares to my little "Cookie." I have never bought any of their clothing or anything else, for that matter. Their prices are very high.

Sticks & Stones .. broke my puppy!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I wish I had read these reviews prior to getting my chihuahua from Pet's Pajamas ! Within a week my puppy had two broken front legs and a fractured back leg ... and he was never hurt or injured. When I took him to a local vet the doctor immediately knew the dog came from Pet's Pajamas because he REGULARLLY sees dogs (esp. chihuahua's and toy fox terriers / yorkies) that have extremely fragile , unhealthy bones. My friend also got a chocolate lab from Pet's Pajamas and he's the meanest dog you've ever seen ... and he's a LAB .... they may end up having to put him sleep because of aggression issues and no training is helping !

The dogs might come from backyard breeders, puppymills, or even Amish puppymills .... but where ever they are coming from they are NOT NOT NOT healthy quality animals. Do yourself a favor and do some serious research before buying the cute pet store puppies. I sure wish I had. My chihuahua may end up having to have one of his legs amputated because of the ongoing breaks and fractures!

Kennel Cough  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

This is about a recent purchase where aa 13 week yorkie was bought after having contracted 'kennel cough". The animal was severely dibilitated and may doctors visits and medications are necessary. Futhermore the animal fights tking medications which leads the caretaker to get bitten by said animal at each medication time (three times a day).

Really, Where do you get your animals!!!???  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Imagine my surprise while traveling in Amish country only to see a sign selling puppies. I stopped to see these adorable dogs only to be told that Pets Pajamas had bought the whole litter and had spoken for the next FOUR LITTERS. Shame on you Pet Pajamas. You really fooled me when I was in your store and was told you buy only from reputable breeders.Could you suggest anymore reputable puppy mills in Amish Country. I would rather pay them the $150.00 than you the $900.00 What a phony you are.

Pet's Pajamas  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

Pet's Pajamas is an adorable little shop with kind of higher end trickets and accessories for todays pets. It is a great gift shop. They do have puppies and kittens for sale, but they are not of the puppy mill variety. My friend purchased a puppy there, and it was a wonderful experience, and they now have a wonderful dog.

Good Experience with "designer dogs" and Pet's Pajamas  4 Star Rating - Very good

I feel very badly about the loss of the pet described in the previous post, my heart goes out to the owner. I had a German Shepard Dog with lymphoma and have had friends have that experience also, however my dog was bred by a private breeder. After we lost her we bought a "designer" dog from Pet's Pajamas. He is a Yorkie-Toy fox mix and is a wonderful dog and very healthy. It was a good experience, as a matter of fact we couldn't take him home until he had gained enough weight (was very tiny - he is sure not now, he is kind of chubby!) and passed the vet checks. They were more concerned with his welfare than were any other folks we had ever bought a pup from. We have since obtained a Yorkie-Chihuahua mix from another source (private breeder) who is also very robust and seems to have the best of both breed characteristics. That experience was more about the cash and the breeder never even called to see how she was doing. I am not contradicting the previous email but just pointing out my experience, of all the "pet stores" that I have been to they impress me the most. I agree that obtaining a pet from the shelter is a wonderful thing to do, and we have done that once, but toy size pups just don't seem to be available that way very often.

DO NOT BUY from Pet's Pajamas !! PUPPYMILLERS !  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Pet's Pajamas is incrediably decieving in their presentation. A lovely store, and the pets ACTUALLY are well cared for ....

They SAY " All of our animals are locally bred and registered by private breeders." but the TRUTH of the matter is that while being locally bred their dogs come primarily from AMISH puppymills and backyard breeders.

This store has TONS of "designer" dogs - which are NOTHING more than mix breeds or mutts. Not saying mutts don't make wonderful pets - but a labradoodle can be aquired at the shelter - it's called a Labrador / Poodle mix there and it's just as wonderful of a dog, You'll save $100's of dollars and you'll be saving a life at the same time.

DO NOT BUY FROM PETS PAJAMAS - supporting the store in any way only supports the puppymillers and backyard breeders AND your pet is likely to have problems - MY dog bought at Pets Pajamas is DEAD because of lymphoma (a form of cancer) that is INHERITIED from the parents .

because designer dogs are purposely bred from dogs of specific types or breeds, they may have a higher incidence of certain diseases, such as breathing difficulties, cancer or hip dysplasia,
