Time Warner service is the worst ... I have the bundle - cable tv, computer and telephone and the service is as bad as it can possibly get. AVOID TIME WARNER IF YOU CAN ... They treat you terribly and consider yourself warned if you sign up for this bad joke of a company. They are arrogant, and they only care about getting your money

I work for DISH Network, and for years as a customer service representative, I heard terrible things about Time Warner, and their customer service. Here at DISH we pride ourselves on customer service, there are specific departments to help new customers understand equipment and billing. This is reflected in the fact that DISH has beaten Time Warner in customer satisfaction for the past 10 years.

HORRIFIC COMPANY....HORRIFIC!!!!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TIME WARNER CABLE (UNLESS YOU'RE A MASOCHIST)

I've never been angry enough to actually take the time to write a bad review of a company in my life. My fiance and I have had time warner cable service for over 2 years in Mar Vista California (near Venice/Santa Monica area). Dealing with them has truly been one of the most painful experiences we've ever had with any company from every standpoint. Their customer service is horrific, their cable boxes malfunction on a near-daily business (please just imagine how annoying this would be for 2 entire years) and, the worst part, we have no other options as far as cable companies go. To give you an idea, our cable box has been replaced 5 times in the last 2 years (yes, five) and after each replacement, the exact same problem persists (DVR doesn't play, rewind or record properly, will freeze for several minutes, then suddenly fast forward to the end of the show). My fiance was watching the world series on DVR last year and the box suddenly fast forwarded all the way to the end of the game (talk about ruining the surprise). Can't tell you the number of times we've just sat and looked at each other while a show we were watching stood frozed for 5 minutes or more, we've had to unplug and reboot the box at least 50 times before.

What sent me over the edge was last week, after we got our 5th box, I called to ask for a credit for the time that the box was essentially useless (the technician suggested I do this after HE couldn't get 3 of the boxes from is van to work, then finally installed a 4th). I was placed on hold for 35 minutes by customer service while waiting for a supervisor. The rep got back on and said the supervisor was busy and would call me back within 1 hour. We waited 5 days and called back ourselves. Another supervisor looked at the notes from 5 days before and said, I quote, "We decided your request was unreasonable and decided there was no reason to call you back." We got a whopping $6 credit out of him for the pain of over 2 years without functional cable. The technician had also told us to ask for a 3 month free showtime special they were running, and the supervisor straight up said "no" to this request also (IT WAS THEIR OWN SPECIAL!!!)

I hate satellite, but Time Warner Cable is truly a disgusting company that really deserves to go under for taking advantage of people, so we're switching.

2. Said they had no way to contact it for me, or connect me to it.
3. Told me to take my sick modem there and MAYBE they could exchange it. If not, that facility could send me to another T-W store that might have a replacement.
4. Purposely disconnected me when I asked to talk to a manager.

And--of course--that T-W office that's been there for ages is not listed in the T-W Web page, not on Google Maps.

And--just to be difficult--their site doesn't work with Google's Chrome browser. But it only tells you it won't work AFTER you've written in your LiveChat message! Then it refuses to proceed. AFTER your work!

I finally switched to att-uverse because Time Warner no longer has a monopoly in my neighborhood (the only reason I was forced to have them). I don't even know where to begin with my problems with Time Warner. I was forced to block Time Warner on my cell phone because they were calling me up to three times a day everyday. Even after I told them to put me on a do not call list and pointed out I had already bought every service I still couldn't get the stalking phone calls to stop. I've spent multiple times on the phone with them for 2+ hours because my internet just stops working sometimes. The last time I was on the phone with them for 2 1/2 hours I demanded a service appointment and the serviceman just never showed up after waiting for 4 hours. So far att is working well, you should check if they are in your neighborhood before you are forced to sign up for Time Warner.

TIME WARNER CABLE :: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! I REPEAT TIME WARNER CABLE :: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! REPRINT IT EVERYWHERE TO SHOW BIG BUSINESS THAT THE CONSUMER HAS POWER!Why so harsh?1.DECEPTIVE selling practices: Sales will try to BAIT you into a promotion and then SWITCH - either remove the promotion or claim they never offered it. Sales will never let you know what will happen to the rate after the promotion. Customer service will not do anything but keep you on hold, transfer you, cut you off, shout at you or hang up on you. Typical behavior for a company that practices FRAUD.TIME WARNER CABLE :: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Here is my scenario. On top of the half of dozen service outages, the promotional rate of $78 per month (included cable, Internet, HBO, showtime, Cinemax) doubled to $150. Spoke with them and sales offered a rate of 73.95 for an additional six month promotion, only to pull the promotion 1 month later and try to charge me $100 per month when they are advertising the same exact service at $65 per month for new customers. BUY BEWARE!!!! - This is the definition of BAIT AND SWITCH. The way they act - Once they have you as a customer on lock down, then its time to abuse you. Time Warner knows that high switching costs from a time and convenience perspective exist and they prey upon you.TIME WARNER CABLE :: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! If you have not other choice, make certain you document everything, every name, every price. But be prepared to be ABUSED. and LIED TO, MISSLED2.the worst service ever.It took Time Warner 3 times to install and have the cable operational. Three separate visits waiting 2 hours at a time.
