Reviews for Family Preservation Services

Ratings_icons Counseling Services

William C.

I have a child that attends Cane Creek Middle School, and has been seeing the counselor there for 2 years. My child, rather teenager, has better grades, a more positive outlook for his future, and is happier in general. The medication services for the last two years has been sketchy-at best due to many different kinds of doctors and changes, but I definitely would recommend Family Preservation Services for the counseling services thanks Mr. D...:)

Ratings_icons Problems with "counselor"

Anonymous

I have recently been informed that a certain counselor within Family Preservation Services has been up to some rather nefarious acts on her own time, some actions that are considered to be unacceptable in the field of "counseling". I would think twice about retaining the services of this person committing unlawful and out-of-control acts against others. She does not seem very keen on upholding her profession. On top of it, as I understand, she has blamed the ones she wronged for her wrong-doings.

Family Preservation Services was a privatized agency up and until the current Mental Health Reform Plan of North Carolina. Since the fallout of the original model that resulted from the reform collapsed in the fall of 2006 Family Preservation Services were one of the agencies that stepped up to the plate and broadened their service venue to include not only child and family services but Developmental services as well. The facility is a State Medicaid and Medicare registered acceptable facility as well as a provider of community funded programs such as those known as Community Support.Their offices are located within a remodeled vintage hospital facility probably dating back to the 1930's. The facility helps to provide the anonymity so well sought after by clients in its obscure visibility to the public and inconspicuous adaptability to it architecture and the surrounding environment. The interior is comforting and conducive to what traditional therapeutic atmosphere was to those possibly entering the system fromprivate enterprise before being classified disabled and subjected to the State systems.I myself and my counselor were part of the New Vistas system and both transferred into the operations of Family Preservation Services. I feel with are both happy at this time under the current conditions being imposed upon the NC provider services as a result of the current NC legislation.I would strongly recommend this agency for any seeking Child Services such as counseling and behavioral therapy as well as all with Developmental Disabilities and in need of regular Medication monitoring, prescription and diagnosing needs.Feel free to call them to schedule an appointment or see if they are suitable to your given situation.
