While I was trying to write this review I found 2 different review sites for this business. Apparently the other one only got 2 stars. So beware. I went to the last "comedy show" and found out that comedy was the farthest thing from what I experienced. Should be called a tragedy show honestly. Also there was a specific menu for their "comedy" night. So notice how the header says COMEDY MENU...it really is half the normal menu at double the price. I also noticed that the men's room had no lock and was told it was because the owner was aware of a bad drug problem that had run amuck in his business. I was also told that for some time the owner was lathering the back of the toilet tank in the men's room with Vaseline because it would contaminate any drugs put on it. As for the staff...what staff? I regret stepping foot in this place and if you ever think doing so is a good idea THINK AGAIN!!!! Oh yeah I think I should add the owner's name is DENNIS GALLIGAN who just happens to be the person that raved about this place on this website in the first place. The last thing I would like to add is that the way I knew about this website was because I overheard him asking his "friends" at the bar to put good reviews on this site since the bad word was getting out!! What a total DBAG. Do NOT go to this s***hole. I'm telling ya.

One of my favorite neighborhood bars. The food I have had has always been good. We keep going back because the craft beer selection is the best in the area and a lot less expensive than what it would cost for the same thing in the city. All the bartenders are nice but we do have our favorites. Nice place to relax and chat it up with nice people while enjoying a drink or two.

This is the worst bar I've ever been in. The food is terrible. Maybe it's because the bartenders are forced to cook while they are supposed to be behind the bar or maybe it's because the kitchen is disgusting. Customers are always back there. So I know how bad it is. If you go then make sure to stay clear of the men's room. It should be condemned and makes the while bar smell.

We've been to jacks a few times. Food is fast and tasty. Its ome place my wife doesn't mind going to for a quick fix when were out and about. And she can be picky where she eats...

Jack's Twin Bar is located at the intersection of Broadway and Market Street. It's a neighborhood establishment with lots of rich history. According to Bill Haley himself, The Twin Bar is THE Birthplace of Rock 'N' Roll. Back in 1951-52 Bill Haley and the Saddlemen (soon to become the Comets) played at the Twin Bar for an unprecedented 18 months. During this time they merged different styles of music and came up with what they called Cowboy Jive. The young crowd at the Twin Bar took to this new sound and provided Haley with the encouragement he needed to forge on with this new style which we now call Rock 'N" Roll which is still melding into different forms 55 years later! Jack's came about when a long time resident and her husband purchased the property back in 2004. Serving ale, wine & spirits along with delicious tavern food with the buffalo wings and crab-cakes being the specialty, has put Jack's in the mix with some of the best Gloucester City has to offer. Jack's offers something for everyone. If you like billiards, darts, shuffle-alley, great food or simply good conversation, this is the place to visit. Jack's currently sponsors twenty teams in eight different leagues throughout Southern NJ. Enjoy lunch or dinner at Jack's outdoor corner cafe from May through October. Jack's takes pride in their exceptional service and has some of the areas finest bartenders. Jack's business hours are Monday thru Friday 11:30a.m - 2:00a.m, Saturday 12noon - 2a.m and Sunday 1:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. You can typically find one of the owners on the premises just about 100% of the time. Stop by to say hello, have a bight to eat and discover one of your new favorite places!
