I recently got my hair colored by Alohi. I loved it she not only took time to listen to my ideas, she explained what would look best for me. I've been back a couple of times now, the last time I saw Joel. He was equally amazing for my haircut. I am definitely sold on them!! Oh and the receptionists and assistants were first class as well. :) I can never go anywhere else.

Simply the worst salon experience of my life! It is eight months later since my cut and I am still horribly disappointed. I have already had to cut off two inches to somewhat balance the train wreck on my head. I wish I could warn everyone before they spend their hard-earned money on this rip-off joint! I am so disappointed; I expected to be treated professionally and receive a great, sassy cut. :(

I went there in March to do a relaxer, a cut and color (which is not real color is actually recommended to get after a relaxer but it washes off after 10 washes) . Before I went to this place I spoke with the relaxer specialist 3 times! To make SURE she knew how to do a relaxer. To make the history short 2 days latter I noticed my hair was burned and my scalp was burned as well. I was in terrible pain! 1 week latter my hair stared to fall non-stop! I called the place and the woman who did my hair wasn't working there anymore. So Adriana tried to help me. They told me they were going to give me some treatments to see if it would get better and they would refund me the amount of the relaxer $170 and they told me to buy a shampoo and conditioner to make my hair better that costed me $112. My hair just got worse and worse and they didn't seem to be very concerned, so I decided to call their cooperate office. I told the lady at the office that at that point I had a big part on the top of my head missing hair and that my scalp was still hurting me and I was going to see a doctor for that because I was worried since it had been 1 month already. I demanded they to refund all the money I spent including the products they made me buy to fix my hair! This lady would never call me back and after 2 weeks another person calls me saying that that lady wasn't working there anymore. This woman was so rude to me, she would scream and tell me she could not refund me anything and when I asked to speak with the supervisor of the salon she would not let me talk to him and told me he would never call me back. After a lot of fighting I was able to get him to call me back. I told him that I was not a bad person and that I understand that mistakes and accidents can happen but I think when something of this degree happens the least they could've done is to take responsibility for what happened. I told him all I want is for you to refund all the money I spent there and just pay for my doctor co pay and medication which it was very little since I have a good insurance and to continue giving my treatments. Well, he agreed with me and the next time I went there they told me that my treatments went from weekly to monthly for 1 year, 2 months latter a got a hair cut there another $120 (no discount!) and 3 months latter they
told me that they could not blow dry my hair any more, that if I wanted I would have to pay. It was fall by then so I didn't like to get out of that salon with my wet hair.
Conclusion I stopped going there and today my hair looks like crap because they didn't want to take care of a customer like me. I was very naive because I could've done more but all I wanted was to get my hair better. They even made me to sign a paper saying that I could not take any legal action against them. And I did! Because I didn't want to! I will never ever go back there, not because they don't know how to cut hair, but because they have no respect for people!

I recently went to this Vidal Sassoon at South Coast Plaza and had my hair done there by the colorist Marsha, who did a great job repairing my hair color from another stylist at another salon. The other stylist had done some uneven thick and thin highlights in a very unattractive way, as I had done it in the first place to match the top and bottom more-my haircolor at the very ends were lighter from dye eventually wearing off??the ends had just got too light.

She recommended an all over tint- a kind of semi-permanent toner to blend all of the blondes in a natural way. (plus more options than I have ever been given!). Since the ends were dry and and faded they would not be good for an amonia hair dye but a tint absorbed well. It was similar to dying but better for it and my hair came out very shiny. It has been 10 days now as predicted some of the tint lightens a bit but its all evenly shaded together and the uneven highlights and light ends dimmed out.

For an expensive salon the tint was $90??my hair is long also--(the bad hightlights at the previous lower priced salon were $115 ??not very low priced) The total price at Vid Sas. was $140 because the blowdry was $50 as I will skip that part next time but I will definitely go back there??The color part was definitely worth it and I would have paid more to fix my hair than that! Thanks again to Marsha the colorist who I can speak for, and I am sure there are other good ones there, I will repeat for sure.
