I've been here for 4 years, Its wonderful! I read a lady said that Leith in the office does not like Hispanic or blacks, that is NOT TRUE. She has helped me so much. They help alot of vendors here, you cant blame her if some people dont pay their rent or talk to her, thats all they ask is for communication! Come on in see for yourself!

Thank you to all who wrote about this flea market. One good out of 5 reviews is not very good. All I saw were 1 out of 5 stars. I was actually going to rent a space to sell somethings but that kind of mess and drama I can do without!

I was at Armadillo market yesterday, and I have to say, it was REALLY DIFFERENT from what the other people had to say.
I had a very pleasant experience, all of the vendors that I dealt with were nice and helpful. I even spoke to a manager - Leith, about renting a booth. She couldn't have been more helpful!

I did purchase a couple pieces of jewelry (a great deal on a cz ring and earrings), and was treated with appreciation and respect.

GIVE ARMADILLO A TRY!!!

Don't let the naysayers deter you.
I am a happy customer and potential renter.

I went to Armadillo Flea Market and to my surprised the things that they sell are very expensive.I was able to talk to the sales lady and asked her why the prices are way to high than the mall...she explained to me that the rent in the building is extremely high and they need to make some profit to be able to afford to pay the rent.i am very disgusted and will never come back to that place again.

My personal experience with this market located in Houston is that it is fast becoming a deserted island because of management. The manager curses at and talk to the vendors and treats them as if they were not even second class citizens. I witnessed this the day i went there to see about renting a space from them. He cursed out a man and told him to get his ****** and get out and give him his damn money. Against my better judgement i did and my desire to have a business I rented the space anyway. My 12 dear old daughter said to me, Mama are you sure you want to do this because that man is mean". From the mouth of a child! I became a victim of his unprofessionalism because I and another vendor had left some items "overnight" in a space behind the ones we are renting. He locked the spaces and when we asked him to remove the lock so that we could get our things his tone and his actions were surprising to us. .He began throwing our things, pushing and shoving, threatening us with keeping our things, putting it in the trash or imposing a fine on us. That part of the market is empty and deserted so since we are vendors there and are pretty much doing him a favor by being there we felt that it would be okay to store the items there "overnight". He flew off the handle and all but hit us. Very, very, very unprofessional. Although we used the spaces I feel he could have simply and calmly said to us you need to take your things out or pay. There was absolutely no need for the behavior he demonstrated. Furthermore, since that market is less than 70% occupied he need to be kissing up to those of us who are willing to try and stay here. What is wrong with going an extra inch or too to support the people who pay your bills. He need us more than we need him because every day you see vendors moving out. You see more people moving out than you see moving in which is supported by all the empty spaces that are there. But this kind of individual or anybody with that kind of hostile attitude does not need to be in a position where he is associated with the public. He needs anger management counseling really, really bad. I've been told by other vendors that he and his wife have addressed them in the same manner. Because so many vendors have left business is really slow. There are days that you don't make the money to pay your rent. A business is suppose to pay for itself but I am told and I have had to pay my rent out of my pocket. It is trash all around the building, very poorly maintained.
