Ratings_icons Nice cabins very rude management

Taylor N.

My wife and I booked with this company and I must say cabins are nice but service is very bad and managent is a rude as it gets. I believe the rude managers name was Pam. We had a small problem with cabin we wanted resolved and we got promised over and over would be and never was and when we contacted management was very rude. We stayed on cabin antler peak. Cabin and area was very nice but will never stay again due to poor poor service and management.

Ratings_icons Bear Foot Mountain Properties is Such a let down!

Our family of 10 rented a 4 bedroom cabin for 3 nights over July 4th weekend. We had driven in from Texas to join our family that lives in Georgia. This was supposed to be a fun long weekend that 4 generations could enjoy together especially since we don't get to see each other often. I had specifically asked about a space large enough for all 10 of us to sit together and play games, talk, watch movies etc. I was assured that this "brand new cabin" would accomodate my wishes. Well...it did not! There was not a room in the entire cabin that would seat more than 6, and that was cramped. We were more comfortable in a cabana at Splash country in the heat than we were at the cabin. Also, the water smelled horrible, we had to tie one of the beds together because the frame was split, the hot tub was green(they did promptly come clean it when we called)The front glass had been shattered and although it had been replaced the broken glass was still there. We were told the manager would call to discuss our concerns, and she never did. Needless to say, I looked around at other cabins and found one with another company that has much nicer furnishings, fits our needs and costs much less. I have never written a review before and my family takes about 6 trips per year, but I felt this warning needed to be put out there. I also took pictures to document all of the issues.

Ratings_icons Cheap from the word go

Three things frustrated my group about this cabin - the cabin did not meet the standards set forth by the contract and the website, the management company is unable to help fix any of these problems, and they charged us after the fact for damages which were not incurred.

All in all, we were severely disappointed. While we had a great time, it was in spite of Bear Foot, not because of them. I would recommend going with any other area cabin, as here you will have to be concerned that the cabins will be different than they appear from the photos and excess charges to your credit card will be made after the fact.

Lowest rating possible.

Ratings_icons A great place to stay!

My husband and I and another couple spent 5 nights in a Bearfoot Mountain cabin. We loved it! The staff was very friendly and gave us some more bathcloths when needed. Everything was so clean, and the cabin smelled like new wood. We feel that we got a great deal on the 5 nights that we stayed. Because our husbands rode motorcycles up, I was glad that we stayed on the lower level since the road up was pretty steep (we were in the mountains!). I will go and stay again! Thanks for a great time!

Ratings_icons BEWARE

m d.

Booked an EXPENSIVE 5 night stay over New Year's Eve (Friday thru Tuesday) in a new cabin
Upon arrival noticed a terrible smell throughout. Finally linked the smell to the water. On Saturday called office about the smell and the fact that the TV's didn't work and the fire alarm went off when the 2nd floor fireplace was lit. Told that water smell was from mountain water (well water) and was "good" for us. IT WAS SULFUR WATER. Told that someone would be be to fix the TV's and had no clue about the fireplace/alarm issue. TOLD US NOT TO USE THE FIREPLACE. Someone called about the TV's and walked us thru the satellite programming to get them working. We had to do for each of the 14 TV's ourselves. After doing this we stil had no local TV channels. On Sunday evening the water turned from somewhat clear to muddy gray. On Monday the water turned from muddy gray to a liquid black. Called office about water and local TV channels. The TV did get fixed on Monday, but only 8 of 14. The office made several excuses about the water (checking on it, working on it, don't know what's wrong, etc.). Finally midafternoon on New Year's eve had NO water to cabin. Called office and ask for problem to be immediately fixed and that we immediately have a delivery of bottled water. Office manager finally came to cabin to see problem. She said problem should be fixed soon. I asked for 200 gallons of bottled water (WE WERE IN A 9 BEDROOM CABIN WITH 27 PEOPLE). She said that was ridicilous (NO WATER IN A CABIN WITH 27 PEOPLE TO FIX MEALS, TOILETS, BRUSH TEETH). However, she had no idea on when we would have water again. She brought +/- 30 gallons of bottled water. Late in the evening the workers trying to fix water problem informed us that the well was dry and this was a "known" problem for this cabin. They told the owner/property mgmt. that the cabin was too big for the well. New Year's day we were flushing toilets with water from hot tubs. Had to get water to cook and do basics from a hydrant at the office (DOWN MOUNTAIN). FInally, office called to say we would not be getting water - the well was dry (WOW - REALLY) and offered to relocate us to 2 separate cabins. WENT HOME - 1 DAY EARLY. Had to fight to get an adjustment on bill. Overall, office was very unconcerned and annoyed by US NOT HAVING WATER. Brought a sample of water home to have tested. NOT GOOD. Beware of this rental company! Terrible experience for all - including out of town guest - to what should have been a great New Year's.

Ratings_icons Would stay again. Excellent Views!

Very friendly staff and excellent cabin. We stayed only 2 nights but we will be back to this place. The cabin was awesome and very well taken care of with one of the best views of the Smoky Mountains I have ever seen. Not much more to say. An excellent cabin with good service and the price was very reasonable. If you are looking for a cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Bear Foot Mountain Cabin Rentals is a good choice.
