great guys. very helpful and patient when i have questions and they've been on time with everything i've taken there. no need for kinko's, these guys will probably be cheaper and just as good, while ACTUALLY KNOWING what they are talking about.

this guy tom, at minutemen on burnet road, accused me of trying to get free business cards because i made some changes (i did all the graphic work and typsetting and provided them in an AI format??). these were custom size cards - just took a little more effort than a typical one, but the guy was so akward socially, unresponsive, and uninterested he couldn't get out of his own way. bad communication skills. i reached minutemen's customer service threshold very quickly - seemingly right when i walked through the door. the guy, wouldn't let me take one of the sample cards to my business partner so he could proof it and authorize the job. this was the second 'run' of proof cards (a grand total of 18 cards; both runs), obviously 1 run too many. i asked why and then he stammered something out about paying half now. i said i couldn't pay half until i was sure we were going to run the job (there were cutting/margin issues that he said couldn't be helped and blamed them on the machine. i had a few cards in my hand that were cut properly by them! proof the desired cut was achievable!). i wanted to run it by my partner and see if some of the cards not being cut properly was acceptable (the 'off' cutting made the info on the cards off center slightly, but enough).i told him money isn't the problem, and then asked him what the real problem was?? HE SAID I WAS TRYING TO GET FREE BUSINESS CARDS. i'll add, i'm okay on the money side. so i guess the idea was . . . i'm going to go around town and dicking around with a guy to get 9 business cards for free?! i didn't know there was such a scam? went to the locally owned Abbey Printing next to the Saxon Pub on south lamar and everything was great. also, avoid Quick Prints the south lamar location. lastly, this guy is an idiot becasue we had a ton more business. so he accomplished: offending me and accusing me of stealing, screwed himself out of more print work, and got himself on this site. all for the price of a set of a proof run; probably about $3!! Mabye $20??!! there were NO changes made to the graphics or typesetting - maybe they 12-upped the cards, which they have to do anyway. so we're talking about the time to read and shoot out 3 emails and 2 pages' worth of toner and paper?! i though he was in the print business? obviously i was the problem since i didn't come to him with a standard business card and know the exact defintion of every term in the print industry lexicon. i don't get it? how do people stay in business like that?

Business Response:

Wrong location Tom does not at this location
.

In Northwest Austin. Very professional. Reasonable business cards prices with free graphic design. They also do rubber stamps, brochures, flyers, notepads and forms.
