5 Stars: Worth the drive from the Eastside (by Eeyorefan)

Even though we live on the eastside, we visit Six Seven every Mother's Day for the most awesome brunch around. (The bacon alone is worth the drive but the made-to-order-while-you-wait omelets are great, too.) We also bring out of town guests there for dinner because it's hard to beat the charm of fine dining on the waterfront, even when the weather isn't the best. (In summer, the outside deck is open for seating). There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Wait staff NEVER rushes you and you feel free to relax and enjoy the experience.

4 Stars: Very Impressed!!! (by bananas2778)

If you haven't been to Six Seven @ The Edgewater lately, it's high time you try it again!!! We had an incredible meal, and the service was friendly , courteous, and knowledgeable. The new Fall menu is one of the most creative I have seen as far as flavor combination's and execution. I also enjoyed the portion sizes, not too big, not too small, and for the smaller appetites, you are able to order half portions for many of the dishes.
We each had an appetizer, the Gnocchi and the Autumn Risotto. I can't say enough about the presentation of the dishes and the genius building of flavors! I wanted to try something different for my entree than what my husband was ordering, but I couldn't tear myself away from the scrumptious description of the Scarlet Snapper. It was cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth delicious! I would go back again and again for that dish alone!!! I really could go on and on about the food, but you'll just have to see for yourself!
The view was amazing, the water, the clouds, and the smallest break of sun. The restaurant manager even stopped at our table to ensure our complete satisfaction. We currently reside in the Seattle area, and have found another place to frequent!!! Thank you Six Seven!!!

1 Stars: sunset ruined (by damdave)

Fabulous setting but we're still talking about the pathetic service 24hrs later. We had to get up from our seats to ask for menus, waited for 45' between first and second courses, and then were aghast at the bill. Fish was actually well prepared, but by the time the food arrived the kids were going crazy with the wait. Did I mention the service was awful? Don't bother with the "toppings" for the fish or meat - $10-15 buys about $2 worth of nibbles. If one goes then sit in the bar and have a few stiff ones to prepare oneself for the wait...

1 Stars: STAY AWAY!!! (by MandiRising)

PLEASE READ

The last time I went to 67 (2 years ago), the hosts lost my reservation, so we waited 45 minutes (it was my birthday), the servers were flat-out rude, and they gave us the wrong food.

Did it change? Earlier this week: BIG SURPRISE it was the same experience, only WORSE! Thanks for ruining my birthday dinner, 67!
---They gave us grief about seating, even though we had reserved outside seating; it was as if we had burdened them and the host said that they would ?have to ok it with the manager,? after staring at us with a frown. Awkward much?
---The portions have decreased significantly, and are NOT EVEN A FULL SERVING OF FOOD, but are twice the price as previously!
---You pay $18 to $40 for a plate of food that is accompanied by nothing?you have to order side dishes, which are not cheap! Ie, I ordered the $18 Halibut that was smaller than a deck of cards (I actually had a deck with me to measure it) and it had 3 mini mushrooms?nothing more! I had to order 3 more sides to make it a meal. And I was still hungry! And I?m 5?7 108 lb!
---All the dishes and sides were BLAND, and mediocre at best, especially for the prices.
-Our server had a foul attitude.

APPALLING at best.

DECLASSE!

5 Stars: first time diners turned regulars (by jonnywad123)

we arrived at about 6:30, we decided to eat a little early, the dining room was suprsingly RAMMED!!! with people for a week night. we were sat by the window, and there was actually a very nice view for the dark evening, we were able to see the ferryboats come in and out from bainbridge island, and the lights on alki beach made for a nice waterside experience for a december evening. my first course was an amazingly light but still rich tuna poke, the tuna came wrapped in a slice of english cucumber and it was lightly seasoned with the flavors of curry and citrus, surrounded by a somewhat strange but delicious yellow tomato air ( it was more like bubble bath but it tasted like ripe tomatoes?). my date had a a bowl of chestnut apple soup that was so rich and delicious that i had wished that i had ordered that! (although my poke was tasty :) ) the soup came swirled with a toasted orange cream and a perfectly cooked piece of foie gras.
Our entrees were no less spectactular, I had a piece of wild seabass with carmelized yams, and a buttery sherry sauce that was both tangy and sophisticated. my date had ordered the filet mignon, with roquerfort mustard crust, and a chunky short rib sauce, the mash potatoes were more like a sauce than a mash, but boy they were tasty. we opted to drink our dessert with a couple of glasses of chateau st michelle late harvest savigion blanc recommended by our server.
we will definitly be back!!!!!!!!!!

3 Stars: Romantic but a 30+ scene (by K U.)

1 Stars: Tourist Trap (by pblake123)

Things didnt start well when I was given instructions on how to eat my Tuna Poke. Pleeaase! How patronizing. We felt out of place because we were dressed, and everyone else was wearing the likes of bedazzled Mariners shirts and baseball caps. This place is a gaudy tourist trap for out-of-towners.
We sent 3 dishes back, and were comped for none of them. $400 meal, poor service, poor food. There are a dozen restaurants in Seattle that beat this place away for less money. 1 star for the nice view. Fake fine dining.

My husband and I stayed at the Edgewater and dined at Six Seven last February and it was absolutely a fantastic time!
1 Stars: There apparently was a good reason the restaurant was nearly empty... (by sjasonsmith)

I went to the Six Seven restaurant expecting an exceptional fine dining experience. Instead, I paid fine dining prices for formally presented but mediocre cuisine. The vegetables accompanying the meals were meager (the generous amount of asparagus described by our server was probably no more than two spears), undercooked (raw sweet potatoes anyone?), and reminded me of my last (and only) visit to the Village Inn. In the end we left the restaurant over $80 lighter (with no drinks or dessert), with nothing positive to say for our experience at Six Seven.

5 Stars: Crabcakes to die for!!! (by twobabylambs)

This restaurant is on the pricier side, but seeing its location and interior we were not surprise. We were prepared to treat ourselves anyway since we were on vacation. We learned that one way to avoid sticker shock is to ask to see the menu before they seat you.

The two of us ordered one appertizer to split and it was a splendid piece of heaven. Wish I had ordered another one just for me... For the entree, he had fish and I had steak. Both very good. Then we shared a dessert. They didn't charge a fee for spliting plates like some foo-foo restaurants do.

Everything was a la carte so if you like your 16-oz steak dinner to come with all the trimmings then this restaurant may not be the one for you. Portions are on the smaller side typical of restaurants at this range. We didn't walk away stuffed, but certainly satisfied. The view was magnificent. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive eventhough we didn't order that much food and we only had tap water.

Our overall experience was very memorable. If I get go back to Seattle I will definitely try Six Seven again. Such a strange name...

2 Stars: Save your money (by flyboyarl)

First of all, the price rating on CitySearch was 2 $s. That is inaccurate. It should actually be at least $$$. That really started us off on the wrong foot as we were a bit sticker shocked. I think the waitress noticed that on our faces as we didn't order the typical drinks, bottled water, plus appetizer + entree for each of us. Because of this, there seemed to be less attentive-ness from her as she realized there was not much tip to be earned from this table. I agree with the previous reviewers, the view is amazing. When the food finally arrived (~1 hr), it was actually pretty good, but the amount was so minimal - no wonder the menu had options for ordering sides. In conclusion, this is how I would rate: tastiness of food - 4, service - 2, value - 1, view - 4. I just think for the money, this is definitely not worth it.

1 Stars: Great view, Bad food (by penguin99)

We went there last summer--and wow, the view is amazing. The food, however was anything but. Both my husband's meal and mine were bad, the chicken dry and tasteless. My ahi tuna was first served well-done (!) sent back (it was meant for someone else) and then when they served me again was a complete let down. The decorations are weird (lodge like, doesn't go with the view) and the service so-so. Save your time and money, try campagne or chez shea instead.

1 Stars: Not good for groups (by elina10)

Starters: great view, and the food (the evening we went) was delicious! I was quite disappointed by the experience/service though -- we made a reservation for a group of eight, informed the hostess that a part of our party would need to arrive late, and showed up at due time. Unfortunately, the server wasn't in on the loop, and was obviously displeased to find out that a portion of our 8 people would be late. As such, we were told even before ordering that we had about 1.5 hrs to eat and get out (the table was needed). When the remainder of our party arrived, they were ignored for the first 10 minutes. After we flagged down our waitress, she determined that they'd have to order "faster" items to get 10 minutes to eat, then we'd have to leave. For the class of restaurant that Six Seven ought to be, the service is extremely poor. I would not return.

4 Stars: Excellent Seafood with a Great View (by tedwin)

Although I have yet to know the origin of the restaurant's name, Six Seven, the place is definitely ideal for great seafood. Using the $25 special and arriving at 5:15pm, I ordered the crab cake for appetizer, the halibut for main entree and the ever popular trendy potde creme. The crab cake was simply wonderful. You get only one but it's loaded with lump crab in a buttery sauce that makes you want to order another one. The miso marinated halibut in carrot sauce was perfectly cooked. There's nothing like having perfectly cooked fish that just flakes with a swipe of a fork. The sweet potato underneath was a bit stringent in portion. The chocolate potde creme was average and didn't come close to Zoe's version. The dining area is located next to the bar so be prepared to listen to some dance music as you fine dine. Don't expect to hear Vivaldi or Bach as you sample exquisite seafood. The dining area is decorated in a neo modern atmosphere of faux trees with steel rods. The view is spectacular and warrants a repeat visit during happy hour while dining outside on the patio to soak in the sun while it sets.

5 Stars: WOW - What a view! Delicious Food on Elliott Bay (by skylarkar)

Oh my, where to start?! This has to be Seattle's best kept secret for delicious food with a view which mesmerizes! Our dinner here on Elliott Bay is surely a night to remember. This is definitely a place we will return with guests or on special occasions. It is expensive but well worth the price. The seafood entrees were perhaps the best we have had since moving to the area, the service was attentive, and the ambiance was remarkable. There could be no better view of Puget Sound in the city. We asked to be seated while awaiting friends who were joining us, and even though they arrived very late causing our stay to linger longer than usual, we were not rushed. I can't wait to return!

5 Stars: Perfect for Breakfast /Brunch (by blue_highways)

The location of this restaurant offers everyone a waterview and the sense of being relaxed and unhurried. Service is attentive and pleasnt. Breakfast /Brunch is my favorite because the menu offers a wide selection of Northwest inspired dishes that are high in quality and the morning seems ever more welcoming as the sunrays dance across Elliott Bay.

1 Stars: unfortunate experience (by pikake21)

I booked a large reservation here for a friend's birthday, and was let down in a big way. Prior to making my reservation, the restaurant had been recommended by a friend due to the fabulous view of the Puget Sound. I took some time to read a few reviews, and found quite a few that commented on the poor service. I disregarded what I had read, hoping that I could give the place a chance and find a new favorite with a great view. Unfortunately, my experience was much the same, and without going into explicit detail, it was so horrid that I will never dine here again. Not only did my server chase me into the parking lot after standing against the wall and watching our party leave, but when I contacted the hotel AND restaurant management in regards to our lack of service that night, neither contacted me back nor responded to my emails. It shocks me that such places can continue to operate in good conscience, knowing that they are doing little to nothing to service the customer.

In terms of food, the crab cakes were great--and I only wish that our gratuity could have gone directly to the chef that had made them. If you're looking for an experience that will make you feel comfortable, and as though you want to return, then this is not the place to go.

5 Stars: The best, bar none (by spudsocks)

This is where I take out-of-town guests to truly experience the best of Seattle... Unlike most spots, the waterfront location means that you're literally on Elliott Bay right outside the window, and the food is exemplary. Start with the jumbo shrimp cocktail (the biggest I've ever seen) and the ponzu tuna; I've never had an entree here be any less than perfectly cooked. The cocktail menu is quite interesting, too, including a gin & tonic with house-made tonic. And brunch! Skip Salty's and take your guests here instead--the food is excellent, it's not a madhouse and there's always a nice breeze coming off the water. An exceptional restaurant.

we came here for a group get together in the bar on a saturday night. the bartender was AWESOME. he was very friendly and poured great drinks. we got a 10% group discount. the hotel is beautiful and it feels like you're in the middle of the woods. there are tables, comfy chairs near the fireplace as well as a standing bar.

3 Stars: Good Service; Average Food (by trh1224)

My friends and I dined for the first time at Six Seven. The atmosphere was very nice and the view was spectacular. Our waitress was fabulous. The remaining food servers and the food itself wasn't anything to write home about. Three of us ordered the Mahi Mahi and had to send it back; it was overdone and dry. They were very pleasant about replacing the food, and the second round of Mahi was better (still not great). The desserts were average and the wine suggestions mediocre. I would rate the experience as "average" at best.

5 Stars: Wonderful Service, Exquisite Dishes (by unbroken29)

I actually stumbled across Six-Seven by accident yet was very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is romantic; the décor is inviting and unique. The waterfront view was a bit lacking from our vantage point but nice at any rate. The service was very attentive and the food preparation was perfect. Make sure to make reservations and show up early enough to have a drink at the bar. I truly enjoyed Six-Seven and am pleased to offer my highest recommendation.

1 Stars: For tourists only (by fcgilbert)

This review is for the bar only. We were completely ignored by the waitress after our initial drinks. She was shocked that we seemed to be "in such a hurry," after it took about 15 minutes to get our bill after we requested it. We went to the bar to get our bill paid after that. Keep in mind that the bar area of the restaurant was only about 3/4 full. We quickly paid our tab and went to Anthony's down the street, where we were treated like royalty in comparison.

In general, the Edgewater should be avoided. It's decorated like a Ralph Lauren nightmare, and when we stayed there for a night away, we were treated with indifference.

4 Stars: Worth the View (by bakerla)

I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting. We had a first class view of the bay, the Olympics and the Port of Seattle, accompanied by very lovely food and generous cocktails. The bill was hefty, but the atmosphere and the experience made it worthwhile. The only downside was the god-awful music. It was techno/punk and totally unsuited to the atmosphere.

4 Stars: Night out without the newborn (by tonyconlin)

They got my reservation wrong and we had to wait for a half hour. It just happened to be prom night. You must valet park or walk a bit. The valet is $4. $4 is not expensive, but you will spend @ $100 for 2 to eat. This should be free of charge.

SERVICE: The Maitre D' seemed a little perturbed. (slightly understandable, due to the large amount of non-alcohol drinking, bad tipping teens that night). But our server was great.

FOOD: slightly above average, but over-priced. You will not get a salad or soup with their high priced entrees. Drinks were not cheap either.

AMBIANCE: Excellent (except for the volume from pubertal prom-goers).

OVER-ALL: It beats a crying baby and a DVD.

1. Make sure to budget at least $100 for two. 2. Ask to be seated next to a window. 3. Make sure it is not prom night.

5 Stars: Great bar! (by quahgirl)

We went there for drinks on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. The bar was very chill with a live DJ that added a lot to the ambiance. The service was fantastic, the views were AMAZING and overall I thought it was a fun, relaxing place to go to get a few drinks with friends. Again, the view is incredible and the decor of the bar is great! I'd go there again - for sure!

5 Stars: great night out (by refinedignorance)

I attended dinner with a group of friends before a boat party, and let me say, the food was fabulous. Our food was not too over-priced either, and the waiter was quite helpful. I would recommend coming here if you have a little bit of spare change, and are having a special evening. This is no casual dining place, I would'nt bring children here, unless your a stuck-up parent, or there is a special event occuring afterwards.

4 Stars: great crab cakes (by monkfishliver)

While i was staying at the edgewater hotel, i gave this place a try. The service was excellent. The food was great to mediocre depending on the selection. Pei mussles with curry broth was quite enjoyable. The Dungeness Crab Cakes were excellent. Seared Tuna was lacking in presentation and over-seared although i specifically asked rare. Seared Sea Scallops were forgettable. Creme brulee trio was yummy but too cold in temperature.

Overall, I won't say this made my top 10 favorite restaurants. I may go back just for the Crab cakes and drinks.

While the food & service is by no means disappointing (The shrimp macaroni & cheese was quite quite tasty!), it's the ambience and view that stand out here.
4 Stars: No better view in Seattle (by jayheg)

The deck in the back of the restaurant is second to none. On a summer evening, overlooking Alki, with views of Bainbridge to Safeco Field. Boats float by as you enjoy the views. The food is expensive; but let's be honest, it is a hotel restaurant. Mostly grilled items, half of which are served a la carte and very small. The appetizers are good and the salads are great, yet inconsistent. The first time I had the frisee. bacon and bleu cheese salad, it was great. The second time it tasted like plastic and wasn't edible. I'd come here for appetizers and cocktails at sunset. The service is friendly and accomodating.

I went to six seven this weekend with my girl friend and we had the best time. I don't usually do this kind of stuff, but the meal was so good and the drinks were great (strong too) that I just had to write a review. We went out on the deck I was so impressed that they had heat lamps on the ceiling to keep you warm. The live music was good. The service was kinda slow, but we weren't in a rush.

I just ate at the 6-7 for the first time this weekend. I certainly wouldn't call it a Japanese restaurant... I don't think they would call themselves a Japanese restaurant either..? It's more of an upscale seafood place.

The food was pretty good, but I don't think it was worth the $$$. Luckily the friend I went with was on an expense account, so it didn't hurt my wallet!
