The Scene
Glowing orbs and a spicy palette of oranges and reds set the festive mood at this West Village hot spot, where the lounge scene and rooftop DJ help sustain the buzz. An inventive cocktail list--caipirinhas and rum drinks with fresh berries--is just part of what attracts a steady, sleek after-work crowd.

The Food
The combined cuisine of Japanese sushi and citrus-marinated Latin seviche inspires a successful cross-pollination in many of the kitchen's starters, such as miso soup brightened with cilantro, and vibrant chowder with tender shrimp. Sharing different dishes is a good way to go, though the quartet of the succulent seviche may leave your sushi rolls tasting unexciting by comparison. An Asian pear crisp or chocolate Menta after-dinner drink finishes the meal gracefully.

Key Points

  • Kids' Menu
  • Rooftop - Outdoor Seating
  • DJs Thursday - Saturday

The Inside Scoop

  1. Know Before You Go - Latin and jazz bands play the outdoor deck on sunny days.
  2. The Extras - On weekends, the brunch deal includes four South American brunch dishes, like Braziliian churros and Carmen Miranda, served family style for $15 per person (two person minumum).

Great decor/ food/ service. This place gets crowded so make sure to get a reservation in especially if you have a special occasion and want a quiet table. You will likely see a celebrity as they flock the bar area here. The food is great, sushi plates are inventive and though expensive, worth it.

Ratings_icons Great place for sushi!!!

The food was amazing and the modern atmosphere was very appealing. The soft shell crabs and snow peas are great appetizers. I highly recommend the shrimp tempura rolls. The downside is that it is very expensive, but makes up for it in service and quality.

I've eaten here a million times and I'm yet to be disappointed! I love the decor, color schemes, and big comfortable booths. The sushi and salads are very fresh and not too expensive. can't wait to go back!

Pros: Ambience

Cons: kind of fishy smell but whatever, it's raw fish!
