Great theme adds to the already packed strip
I totally agree with the previous post about T.I. being a clip out of the Pirates Movies, because it really is. With a great free pirate performance/show that goes on every day on the strip it's a great place to catch action/drama/excitement all rolled into one show. The Hotel itself is really nice and does have that Caribbean feel to it. Rooms are pretty spacious and the pools are really nice. The casino itself is pretty big with table games and slots for your gaming pleasure. Their buffet always seems to have a line every time I go but it's worth the wait if you can wait. Overall you should have an enjoyable stay there, and it's best to check out everything the resort has to offer; from dining, entertainment, a little R and R, it's a great place to get away for a weekend.

Pirate Show
Treasure Island puts on one of the shows on the strip. Its like a clip out of the Pirates of the Carribbean movie. I love the realness of it. Inside is very nice too. Very tropical and cool, especially in the summer.

Caribbean
This is one of the most well decorated hotels on the strip with the more rustic style. This is a great hotel if you want adventurous shows and a unique room decor. The slots are very uniquely set with pirate themes and the free pirate verses British boat show is one of the most entertaining things on the strip that you can do for free.

TI: Seductive Tantalizing and Fun
I love the TI. It's always a place we visit for our annual trips to Las Vegas. The bartenders and excitment at Kahunaville are second to none. Flair bartending, dancing free drinks... you got it all. Ofcourse, they make great tasting drinks. We have to see the Siren's show every time were in Las Vegas even though its a bit shamelessly self promoting :). TI has a larger rake for poker games and tourys then then the other MGM/Mirage properties but an excellent place for poker even though the room is a bit small.
Pros: Sirens of TI: Nightly, 5 Daily Hold'em Tournys, Kahunaville
Cons: Heavy Traffic, Small Poker Room,

Nice rooms, small unimpressive pool
A "nice" hotel if you are on a budget. While the hotel has very nice rooms, if you are younger and looking to lay at the pool, or go to their nightclub Tangerine, I would look eslewhere. Nothing is really wrong with the hotel, it's just that compared to some of the others, it's just not that impressive.
Pros: Great rooms
Cons: Small unimpressive pool, average atmosphere compared to other casinos, lame nightclub

Good hotel for the price
I stayed at Treasure Island (right before it was renamed TI) and was pleasantly surprised by the room quality. The rooms weren't luxurious but quite nice for the price. The casino itself isn't much to speak of, and we ended up spending more time at the Venetian casino than the TI casino. Yes, the hotel is close to the Venetian and next to the Mirage. For some reason the hotel seemed more smoky than some of the other large hotels in the area (but not remotely as bad as say Circus Circus). I would stay there again. I miss the old pirate theming though.
Pros: Location, decent rooms, good value
Cons: Kind of small feeling

would stay here again
We were able to stay here on a deal where we got an upgraded strip-view room as well as some food credits, so that already made me like this hotel. There were also separate elevators for the higher floors, very convenient. I even liked that cheesy sirens pirate show, guests get priority viewing.
