What a deal tires for life!
How ever when it was time for new tires the dealership had closed its doors with no alternative service location.(That would honor there warranty)

I also had several experiences with cost of service being quite a bit more than what was stated in the warranty schedule.

What a scam.

We were told the exact car we were looking for was on the lot only to sit for over an hour listening to reasons why we should buy a much more expensive car. The car we wanted was never on the lot and according to them there were no Honda Civic EXs in the Portland Metro Area. They were wrong, that night we bough a Honda Civic EX with Navi from Stirling Honda and had the best experience possible.

We were told the exact car we were looking for was on the lot only to sit for over an hour listening to reasons why we should buy a much more expensive car. The car we wanted was never on the lot and according to them there were no Honda Civic EXs in the Portland Metro Area. I just purchased a 2008 Ford Fusion SE from Dick Hannah Ford and am so happy with my experience. I saw an ad in the paper for a sale and I expected to get there and get the run around. I did not. I got my vehicle for under $16k!! My salesman showed me what every feature in the car was for and was WONDERFUL!! I have been looking for a car for 6 mo and have been to or in contact with at least a dozen other companies and not one of them made me an offer I could not refuse until now. I will go to them first next time.

Beware! I know that the "customer for life" program might have some hidden costs associated with it, but figured it might be worth having them perform service even if I received one free set of tires over the years.

Today I called for an appointment for a 60,000 mile service on my Honda Element. According the owner's manual, all that Honda recommends is the oil change (a 10,000 mile interval on this vehicle), filter change, air cleaner element replacement (in cabin filter), and tire rotation.

They wanted $450 for this! As I pressed them on the matter it turns out they were quoting me the price for the severe conditions service. . . and other dealer specified items. When pressed for a quote for the actual required items it was just $140. HOWEVER, in-order to maintain the "customer for life" or "tires for life" warranty, I have to do the entire $450 service. Rip Off. Avoid Them!
