I had always gone to a salon on Newbury Street, and decided to try somewhere closer to home and had heard good things about Salon Capri. I get a pretty heavy blonde highlight - I told the colorist before she started what I liked, some areas that she needed to focus on, and assumed that she knew how to do a partial foil. She missed the ENTIRE back section of my head!! I could have done it better myself, and she said she had been working there for years. NOT Impressed with this salon, I'm going back to Newbury.

I have been to numerous salons and right when i walked into salon capri the atmospere was so positive. Everyone was so friendly to me. The color and cut was incredible. I would actually trust any stylist in that salon. Thanks!!

Have been coming to Salon Capri for a year. Never felt I was listened to. today Nick the owner cut a huge chunk out of my bangs after I told him not to and charged me $95 dollars for it...even after I complained will never go back!!! Davis here I come. BEWARE they think they are better than they are!

I have been going to Salon Capris for a few years now. I used to go to Newbury Street to a "chi-chi" salon, but was very unsatisfied. I always felt like a 'number' and that my stylist was doing me a favor by cutting my hair! Not the case with Salon Capris! From the helpful, courteous front desk folks, to the cheerful, wonderful, friendly people that shampoo your hair, it's such a nice experience! Joan Marie (stylist) is outstanding - she even suggested ways to save me money ! That would NEVER happen on Newbury Street! I never got so many compliments on my cut/color before! Kudos to Joan Marie! Also, Beth Ann has cut my daughter's hair and did a wonderful job!

After 2 years I just stopped going to Salon Capri for my cut and color with Nick, the owner. For the last 6 months the quality of the cuts has deteriorated.
Appointments for a cut with Nick are 30 minutes. During the appointment he spends 10 to 15 minutes cutting my hair and has his assistant blowdry my hair - all for a whopping $95. He spends too much time chatting with staff and solving salon issues during the 30 minute appointment. He no longer offers any creativity. The last two cuts were terrible. After my recent color, it washed out after 1 week. I don't recommend the salon. They have overextended and forgotten about delivering quality and value to their clients.

I got a haircut here from the owner of this salon and it was a really bad experience. He didn't listen to what I wanted and treated me like I was invisible the whole time I was there (he conversed with staff and other customers right over my head as he was cutting my hair). He barely spent any time making sure the cut was even and as a result, I had to re-cut my own hair when I got home just to even it out! The atmosphere was snooty and they treat you like you're a nuisance to them. I would never go back there again, especially considering how much they charge. Really bad vibe!

Margaret is FABULOUS! This was my first visit to Salon Capri in Newton. A dear friend gave me a gift card because she has been going to Margaret for almost 20 years and cannot rave enough about this amazing stylist. I was very nervous since I have longer hair and always fear stylists cutting it all off. Margaret was amazing, I have never in my 46 years had a stylist give me their undivided attention for 1 1/2 hours, maybe more. She cut & styled my hair so amazing when I walked out of the salon I looked like a TV anchor, flawless but not overdone. So good that two different men on near the salon tried to strike up a conversation with me, as a conservative, married, mother of 2, that "never" happens - IT WAS THE HAIR!!!!

Candyce is the best esthetician you could ever hope for. She's extremely professional, does a perfect job every time, makes you feel comfortable and puts you at ease, and really cares about her clients. Waxings are pain-free and easy. I won't see anyone else!

Salon Capri is a little piece of heaven in Newton!! This high end salon has everything newbury has to offer, but BETTER! The prices were reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I had my hair highlighted and it has never looked better! A+!

I would just like to say that I have found a new hairdresser, and she is amazing!!! Blanid from Salon Capri in Newton is top notch!! I have never felt more comfortable and trusting in a hairdresser chair before I met her. Always am happy with the result. So happy, will never find a new hairdresser again!!

I've had my brows waxed and designed by others but no one compares to Candyce. She is amazing! Her attention to detail means my brows are perfect every time...she goes the extra mile of trimming and shaping if needed. Her facials are great! She really knows skin. My skin is very sensitive and I am also acne prone...Candyce was able to clear up my skin with facials and recommended products. Her facials are a bargain at $85 for 75 minutes...I've paid over $125 for 60 minute facials in the past. I don't trust anyone else besides Candyce to work on my face and brows?Candyce is a must see!

My girlfriend goes to this salon and has been for a while. She convinced me to get a hair cut there. I've never been inside a salon before so I wasnt sure what to expect. I absolutely loved it, and I will never go to a barber again. Thanks salon Capri.

Had a cut and foil and blowdry last week w/ Laura, the owner.
She was FAST.. 1 hour 15 mins.. $ 170.00
Salon was clean, the staff friendly. They have the best products, including Kerastase by Loreal. She gave me exactly what I asked for.. very natural blond highlights.. and a trim to shape it.
Pros: location, not Boston. Kerastase Product.
Cons: expensive $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Bethann is excellent with color and cuts and I was always happy with her service. Given her great service, I was willing (for a long period of time) to tolerate the support staff (desk staff, shampoo people) who are very rude. They'd be rude at an inexpensive salon -- but when you're paying $175+ for service ... it's inexcusable.
On one occasion, I left the salon soaking wet because the shampoo person didn't provide me a towel after the shampoo. On another, I left with soap in my hair. On another, a stylist complained (loudly and sarcastically) that I was in a chair that she needed. (I had been told to sit there ...?) The last straw was Salon Capri's last minute cancellation of an appointment that I made weeks before in anticipation of an important event.
Not even an apology ....

The recently renovated establishment is classy, metro chic for the suburbs. Candyce specializes in brows, waxing and a variety of other spa treatments as well. Best brow design anywhere - she takes special care trimming and shaping each brow to perfection. If you have any special requests about your particular shape she accomodates and does exactly what the client wants. I've had her for Brazilians as well - most painless I've ever had. She uses both traditional muslin strip wax as well as the green wax for the Brazilian and let's experienced clients choose. You will not be disappointed.

i had a facial and brow treatment with candyce and i cannot be more pleased with the results,my skin feels and looks great and my brows have never been better.!!
she is truly a wonderful person,very kind and caring and is very meticulous in everything she does, knowledgeable about skin types and treatments and has a wonderful touch with her hands for facials!!great salon tmosphere,everyone friendly and professional. will reccomend to others..
