California Cafe

The food is average and pretty pricey. I came here with my husband twice, and both times we noted that the waiter was friendly but very slow! The variety offered in their menu was pretty tantalizing, but was disappointing in its execution. Our waiter suggested the pineapple martini. YUMMMMMM!!!!

I went there on Valentines Day, very delicious food. We requested candles when we made reservations and she wrote it down as we spoke, but we never got them. A bit of a rude waiter, noticed a bit of discrimination; favoring/attending one race than the other. Very classy restaurant with high class people but anyone should be able to eat there if they can afford it, without being treated differently by staff and guests!

My husband and I visited the California Cafe in Arden Fair mall for dinner a couple nights ago. We were seated upon arrival by a smiling hostess. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. She suggested a great Double T Meritage wine to go with our Filet Mignon and Short Ribs. Both entrees were delicious and beautifully presented. For dessert we ordered the homemade apple pie and espressos. The apple pie was better than my mom's (and that's good!). The espressos were a fine ending to our meal. Our table was quiet and romantic. The dining room was quaint and relaxing. We would definetly come back again for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. The bar seating was full and looked very social.

The wine flights are great and so are the appetizers. They have a full bar and wonderful entrees.

They had a very nice menu offering a wide variety of choices, many that fit into my diet. The tables were not crowded together, the service was attentive and it has the added convenience of being at the Arden Mall. Also it was not a noisy restaurant.
