What a nice place to have a dinner party. Mings is well known on the peninsula for fine Chinese food. Dim Sum is available on Sundays. They also have take out available and they are right off Hwy 101 in Palo Alto.

Best Dim Sum in the Bay Area!

Dinners are middle of the road - if you choose to visit Ming's do it for the Dim Sum. They have Dim Sum all week for lunch and on the weekends.

Tip - don't come too close to 2pm on the weekends - they start slowing down by 1pm.

Pros: right off of 101, large parking lot, good dim sum

.

Ming's can always be depended on to have a nice selection of dim sum for lunch - and service is usually quite good - even on special orders. We love their take out in the evening when we just don't want to dine in. Its done quickly and packaged well. The food is of course excellent. The prices tend to be high in this class of food.

The food at Ming's was very uninspiring. The beef was really tough and had no taste. The dim sum was over-priced and tasted like defrosted frozen dim sum that you buy from an Asian grocery store. I could buy some of those buns from 99

Cons: lousy food. mediocre service

We wanted to try Ming's because we had read some good reviews. The food was very mediocre at best, and the service was rude. However, the biggest issue was the food was UNCLEAN. My friends and I had horrible stomach problems after dining

I just got back from a delicious dim sum lunch at Ming's Restaurant in Palo Alto, CA. The place was packed and we were served quickly and courteously (for a dim sum place). The shu mai was fresh and there was nothing that was super-greasy like you usually get. I highly recommend this place for a business or casual lunch.

Ming probably has the best atmosphere out of all the local restaurants. The food is good, tho sparingly served. For instance you only get one bowl packed with rice, as opposed to a big rice container where you serve yourself.

Pricing is above average. I'd come on the weekends when they serve dim sum.

If you live within 10 miles radius from Ming's, this is a good place to come for dim sum lunch. Check out all kinds of bite size steamed, baked and fried dumpling and desserts. Local papers carry their ads with coupons: 10% off from your lunch bill. We find the dinner menu price a bit expensive, but the food is good.

I've eaten at Mings quite a few times. One thing to watch out for if you are a vegetarian is that dishes marked as "Vegetarian" include chicken broth. Only the Vegan dishes are animal free.

PROS:
CONS: Vegetarians be careful!

Reasonably good food where the dim sum is perfect for a family. Food comes around quickly and they always will "find" what you want if it is not on a cart that comes by. Nice environment (which you pay for).

PROS: good service. quick. lots of space

I've had dim sum at Mings a couple times with friends. The dim sum there is average, and prices are quite high. The waiters come around in little carts only on the weekends. They have a good selection of dim sum but not as good as some others in Cupertino. The restaurant looks like a posh upscale restaurant and charges a fair bit for dinner entires than other restaurants. Parking is plentiful, but still can get crowded on weekends. I am somewhat neutral to Ming's. For one thing, I can definitely get by without their food.

Not recommended at all for delivery - service was quite poor, with an extended hold on the phone (nearly 10 min) and an order which was eventually cancelled due to their inability to find the address.

Food is decent, but expensive
