We have been taking our pets to Salem Animal Hospital for over 20 years! We have received NOTHING but friendly service at the front desk - I don't know WHO or WHERE the previous writer was referring to, but it was NOT this hospital as there is no Dr. Hubsher there - we visit often enough with 5 chihuahuas - we shoud know!! :)\r\n\r\nThe front desk is awesome, they answer the phone so pleasantly, and answer all questions. The vet techs are amazing!! The doctors are great! We have our favorite - Dr. Rudy - he treats our chis all of the time (except when we call for a same day visit for a sick pup, we get the doc who's doing sick calls that day, but sometimes we can get Dr. Rudy if he's there).\r\n\r\nOne of our dogs, Chico, couldn't walk one day, and the vet oncall that day told us right away that he had something wrong with his spine and needed a neurosurgical consult and referred us right away to MassVet in Woburn, MA. Thank goodness she referred us, as he needed surgery the next day!! All is well with Chico because Salem Animal Hospital knew that we were dealing with an emergent issue. (I wish I could remember that vet's name - I apologize, her name has slipped my mind and she was WONDERFUL with us (despite my tearfulness at the time!!!)\r\n\r\nHighly recommend this wonderful place - your pet will be LOVED, not just taken care of!!!

Dr. Hubsher is the worst veterinarian I have ever met and I've owned pets (dogs and cats) my entire life and I'm 61 now. The advice I got was completely wrong- verified by two other separate specialists I visted after seeing him.\nThe front desk staff is unfriendly and often annoyed when I visit. And forget about asking questions to them- you will simply be ignored. \nTo top this off the building is old and smells terrible- you would think they would clean a hospital- I did a visit to ""the back"" to see where they were going to keep my pets and it smelled like rotten garbage, was soaking wet, and their back staff looked like homeless people.\nWhat a freaking dump!\n

I always like the personal touches added by the vets and the vet techs/personnel when I take my dog to their offices. Sometimes we have hard decisions to make regarding the health of our loved ones and the people who care enough at the clinics can certainly make our difficult times a little easier.

I also like to feel as though they are spending the time necessary to put me at ease.

I have been using Salem Animal Hospital for many years.. Prices are high but I feel secure in knowing my pets will be cared for by Dr. Caruso. Dr, Caruso is kind, caring and most importantly very knowledgeable. Recommended!

We had a rather "emergency situation" on our hands that could have escalated into something of a tradgedy. I have found the staff kind and helpful during this situation; access to the facility is right off of the highway which makes it even better if you have to get there quick. There is plenty of parking too.

I am always greeted with a smile when I walk into Salem Animal Hospital. I was just there to pick up hunters meds and it was all ready for me, they took my discount I had brought in and saved me over $40.00. They are always nice to me and
