Really nice place. My wife ordered some "foie gras" there and I have to admit it was really good. Only regret is the very old smell there... maybe it gives more character to the room :D

French is the word. Escargot was interestingly tasty. First time I tried eating snails. The service was great. Was a bit dark, but we had a great time in our group. Nice place to enjoy French Cuisine.

Pros: Authentic French cuisine, ambience

Cons: a bit pricey

Worst service I have ever experienced. First, we called ahead to ask questions about a gift certificate. We were told to call back to talk to a manager. We did and they assured us there would be no problem with our certificates. Of course

Pros: food tasted decent if you don't mind waiting and if you dont mind having terrible service

Cons: service, service, service

We have dined at Le Petit Chateau several times over the last few years. Every dinner was wonderful. The service as good as you can expect in a very good restaurant. Who cares about the ages of the servers? Both male and female, they are caring and knowledgable.

At an average cost of $25 to $35 per dinner, this is NOT an expensive restaurant for the style and quality of the food found here. In fact, this place is quite a bargain for REAL French food.

We enjoyed it so much that we have luncheon scheduled here for about 50 guests in the near future. Christine, the owner, could not have been nicer and more helpful in making our plans.

I can't believe that the reviews here are "real". You can't call this expensive place \r
"great french food" - it doesn't even qualify for "great" in the same sentence as "food". \r
Great ripoff, great location, great if you know nothing

You know things are a bit different when, on the way in, the doors are all labeled in French. Inside, you pass the bar and are seated in a room filled with charming ambience. The lighting, appropriately subdued. The service, impeccable. We

We've eaten here many times; romantic atmosphere, excellent old-style French food (for hearty appetites), great selection of martinis, lovely, mature waitresses give personal service... the busboys do not.

A good place for a date, a birthday or anniversary dinner.

Told Franck "below" to eat at Mc Donalds next time. This guy do not have a clue of what "fine dining" is all about!!\r
And if the waitresses are aging a little, is just because they have been kept on the staff due to the excellent service

More about Le Petit Chateau

Le Petit Chateau is a romantic French restaurant located in North Hollywood, CA where culture meets old world France. We are a classic French restaurant specializing in fine French cuisine. We serve delectable dishes in a comfortable, fine dining atmosphere where you are able to enjoy menu items such as duck, veal, escargots and a selection of hors d'oeuvres. We also serve traditional sweet breads that other French restaurants have all but eliminated from their menu. We still prepare these sweetbreads, pan broiled to perfection and served with béarnaise. Our French restaurant is perfect for an intimate dinner for two, as well as a large party of up to 80 people. Le Petit Chateau has been in business since 1964, pleasing the palette of many French cuisine connoisseurs. From the moment you walk into our French restaurant you will feel like you are in Paris. The moment you taste our delicious food, you will be convinced you are in Paris. Our French restaurant serves cuisine that is completely authentic, made from scratch with only the freshest ingredients available. Le Petit Chateau offers special holiday meals, as well as seasonal menu items. We have a full bar and offer wine pairing meals. Another specialty treat is our 3 course "prix fixe" which is available Wednesday through Saturday. Our family has continued to treat our customers to friendly service and outstanding food for over 45 years now.
