I won't go into the details of my experience... I have had to wait 5 months to speak about it because I have tried not to relive my horrible experience with them. All I can say is that this is their MO - they hijack your things, make you pay more than they qyuoted and they are down-right evil and mean-spirited. They are nice until moving day. Then they go slow, disrespect you and take advantage of you. Their business licenses should be revoked! I don't care what price they give you or what they say, DON'T USE THEM. Even their contracts appear to be in your favor, but trust me, they are not. We called cops, blocked them in our drive, etc... these people are evil.

I received a call from Johnny Jimenez <johnny@sunrisemoving.com on April 26th, 2009 at 1:12 pm. (enclosed)in the quote, it is stated that the rate includes 3 men and 1 truck is $89.00 per hour for a total of $534.00, which included 7700 LBS. and 3 bedrooms, and 5 hours for the delivery out, from my old house on April 28th, 2009 at 5:00pm.
I signed every sheet with all of the items on it. I paid $534.00 by credit card. The same gentleman called his office and the man that he was talking to, said charge her for 7 hours and the guy had the phone on speaker so that I could hear. I said, no; the amount of time has only been 5 hour and I have a written quote and I am only paying $534.00, exactly what the quote says. The mover then hung up the phone and preceded to leave, with all of my things.
I called Sunrise moving and storage to find out how much I owed, since I had a free month of storage on June 18th, 2009. I spoke with Tasha and she stated that she would be working on the accounts reconciliation the next day and would call me to let me know how much I owed. She called me on June 18th, 2009 to let me know that I owed $135.64 from the original move on 04/28/2009. She also stated that I owed an additional $534.00 for a scheduled delivery out on 06/04/09. I let her know that I never scheduled a delivery out on 06/04/09, because I did not sign my lease until 06/05/09, nor receive my keys to my new place. My landlord was fixing things in my soon to be home on that day. No one came to the address on 06/04/09.
Tasha also stated that I owed $87.45 for the storage from 06/04/2009 - 06/18/09. She also stated that I would have to pay an additional $623.00 when I have my furniture and things delivered to my home. For a total of $1380.09. She also stated that if I decided to get my own truck and come and pick my own furniture, I would have to pay $356.00 instead of the $623.00, because they dont allow anyone to come into their facility for get anything, everything would have to be unloaded from the warehouse by Sunrise Moving and Storage employees, to the dock, not inside my truck, for a total of $1113.09. I have been living in my new home since June 5th, 2009 with no clothes, not furniture, no refrigerator, no washer nor dryer, no beds to sleep on , nor any linens. This company refuses to give me my furniture, let me see my furniture and things until I pay $757.09. When I called to make a payment over the phone on 07/08/2009, the owner stated that I had to come in, in person and make a payment by cashiers check, before she would except a payment from me. She then came back to the phone and stated that she would except a payment by credit card, if I faxed a credit card authorization form to her signed and filled out. I filled out the authorization form and faxed it to Sunrise Moving and Storage , for $300.00. I called Sunrise moving and Storage after faxing the form and spoke with Tasha and asked her if she received the form and if she processed it? She stated that she did. I asked her to please send me a receipt to my email address, the same day, she said, let me check with my supervisor first. The owner then got on the phone and stated that she was not going to send anything to me until, the money from the credit card transaction post to her checking account the next morning. I called Sunrise moving and Storage again on 07/09/2009 at 12:00 pm in the afternoon to make a second request for my receipt, because I did not receive the receipt on my email in the morning as the owner stated the previous day. The owner stated on the phone that she did not send the receipt because she still had not received the deposit of the $300.00 in her checking account. So she will not send me a receipt. It is now the 3rd day and I still have not received a receipt of my $300.00 payment, and Sunrise moving and Storage still refuses to give me a receipt of payment. I have paid this company $534.00 to move out and a payment $300.00. I want my furniture and things given back to me now. I have evacuated from Hurricane Katrina, these are all of the things I have in the world!!!! I want my stuff, this is causing so much stress and hardship. I cant sleep, eat, or live. Please make this shotgun, makeshift moving company give me my things!!!! Please!!!!Crystal
NEVER USE THIS MOVING OR STORAGE

First of all they showed up 2 hours late to pick up my items then told me it was my fault because they couldn't call me. I still let them load my items despite this first issue. I was given a completely different price then my original quote. I later received a phone call from the sales rep saying that it was his fault and he would reduce the additional cost by half. My mistake was not getting this in writing like I have done in the past. I schedule my move a month in advance and still had problems. I called the week of my move to make sure everything was still ready to go and to my surprise they had fired the representative I was working with two weeks earlier. However, no one notified me of this change and the excuse was that we have been really busy. I was then told that he had not put my move into the system and that they couldn't ensure that my things would arrive when they were suppose to. I called back for two days before I could ever speak to a manager. I left numerous messages for the manager and they never called me back. I finally received a call after 3 days of trying only to be told yet another price. I then refused to pay any extra charges due to longer storage since it was not my fault that the move wasn't schedule right. They continued to tell me that they had made a mathematical error and that would be an additional 81 dollars. I have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. One of the managers had the nerve to tell me that she was loosing money on my load because of the deal the sales rep had given me. Once again how is that my problem. I will never use this company again!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a mover. They didn't provide me with what they promised, and their customer service is absolutely horrible! I actually got into an altercation with one of the movers and had to call the police because he cursed me out and drove off with my stuff! This happened all as I was trying to sign the final paperwork and pay even though they came 6 hours late and didn't come prepared with all the extra crates and boxes they wanted me to pay for and then promised that they would fully cover anything damaged in transit to their warehouse. I had the owner Eli on speaker phone while the whole thing took place and later he said that I provoked the mover. As I cried on the phone to him and asked him how would he feel if this man treated his wife or daughter the way this man treated me, he showed no remorse and acted as if it were my fault. I still haven't resolved my issue with them and they won't respond to my BBB complaints. I moved out of the country and have designated a friend to try to resolve the issue for me. However, they didn't show up to any of his appointments and now I have to fly from Asia ($2100 rdtrp) all the way back to Atlanta just to try to resolve the issue. I am shocked and appalled at the way they've handled the situation blamed me for this incident. DON'T EVER USE THIS MOVER!!!!
