I do like this store even though it seems overpriced. It has a mid-century modern feel to it and sometimes like it is not a store at all. They have rotating art and are usually participants in the Alberta St. Last Thursday celebrations.

I love me some Office PDX!
by racheldemy
Office PDX is stuffed to the gills with well-made (and often local) design and organizational tools, as well as a perfect showcase for emerging and established artists. Kelly and Tony are always on the hunt for ways to improve their business as well as their connections to the Portland design community. They have great relationships with Nike, Adidas, Egg Press, and Emma to name a few.
Office PDX is not just a place to buy pencils and paper (though you can get both of those things) - it is a place to get up-to-date information on DIY, green living, design industry events, etc. It's a whole experience if you choose to dig deep. The owners would be glad to sit and talk to you about portfolios or whatever you might have questions about, as they both have worked for highly-reputable design firms. The experience in Office PDX is all about what you make it.

THE WORST PERSON of THE WEEK!!!!
by gregholah
This store sells nifty design objects with a retro flair, complete with corporate business mentality from the 1950's. I chose to order from the OFFICE as opposed to AMAZON to support local business. I received an e-mail 1 day later informing me of a 20% sale on the very item i had ordered! - YiPPEEE!! Upon picking up my order 1-week later Tony the Owner would not apply the sale price to my order since it was not ordered in the "official" time period that started AFTER my order (less than 48 hours)!! WOW! I have received better customer service from the DOLLAR TREE. Stay away and support a local business that understands the value of the neighborhood customer, or shop online while at dining at the Olive Garden. As a side note, I did consider returning the item (in the specified time frame of course - 7 days) for store credit and re-purchasing it at the SALE price and getting some trinket with my store credit. Funny that Tony didn't suggest that before I left the store or inform me prior to placing my order there was an upcoming sale.

Not friendly at all
by adamgottschalk
This should be a fun place. It's not. The folks who run it take themselves far too seriously. And it's overpriced. I wish there was a friendly office-supply place on Alberta, a place with similar retro tastes. Save yourself the trouble: go somewhere else or buy online.

You should LOVE this store!
by staceykorn
The two friendly owners of this store have impeccable taste. I saw this store mentioned in the New York Times and had to see for myself. If you are into graphic design, architecture, or just fine art, you will appreciate how every item in the store has some great element of style. Even if you aren't a self proclaimed style-junkie, you will quickly get what makes this store so interesting and unique.
You might expect such a hip store to be pricey and out-of-reach, but not the case with this store. There are some really affordable items here that will make you smile and feel more organized at the same time!
Pros: Merchandise, Prices, Staff
