I have this feeling that if I go in here I would have fun, I did go in here, and I had a blast with some friends. Fresh food and the bar is a lot of fun to be at night. Great place for drinking.

We've been going here for years. The food is always great and the service impeccable. You cannot beat the fish for preparation and freshness.

Well, we took our chance and went here for a Sunday Brunch all you can eat buffet, we arrived about 10:45am and was told by the Host that we have to wait 45mins for a table for two, we put down our names and left to The Whole Food Market and hung out til' 11:30am, we got in as scheduled, we approached the buffet counters and i have noticed that the lay-out of the buffet was very tight, not much room to move around, as people all came in 1way thru the Bar and it was just very tight space, this is not a real buffet restaurant, this is just a normal restaurant that had tried to converted to a buffet, therefore the Dinning room look very cramping. the buffet choice of food was limited, not a whole lot of choices, i tried most all the food menu, i like the Smoked Salmon, linguine, crab salad, but most of all we had a lot of the King Crab legs.
We ordered 2 soda drinks and that were 2.50$ each, the price was 22.95$/ea for the Buffet with out any drinks or juice.
It was a very busy place, we could not find the extra forks, i had to ask the Omelets man to give me some forks because we could not find our waiter , later on when we saw our waiter i had told him that we could not find a couple of extra forks, he had apologized cuz they were short of staff that morning.
In the end we paid about 55$ including tip, i look back and ask myself was it worth it?...The answer was Naahhhh...only the King Crab legs was worth the money other than that everything else was ok...
For the money and food i pick the Golden Coral any days.

Always impressed with the food and especially the service. Calamari, stuffed mushrooms, escargot, coconut shrimp and other appetizers are amazing. try their vanilla sweet potatoes for a side, they are to die for! Prime Rib, & Filet Mignon, Lobster is great together w/ daily large selection of fresh fish. Incredible creative chef.. Mngmt./owners visit your table each time to be sure you are satisfied with your meal. Fair prices for the large portions. We love this restaurant and frequent it often even though it is at least 25 miles+ away from our home. I would highly suggest to anyone wanting extraordinary food & service. Easy to get to on Hampden in Denver. plenty of parking.

I had withheld going to this restaurant due to bad reviews online. Having moved from Florida I'm a bit picky about my seafood but still desire fresh fish. I finally went for lunch and afterward felt horrible about avoiding this place because of a few bad reviews. I had a delicious Escolar fillet and great service for a surprisingly affordable price at lunch. Second visit was a similar experience with a good server and good food. \n\nMy visit for lunch yesterday was the exception. Had I never been to this restaurant I would have likely not returned. Had I been paying dinner prices I would have been especially disappointed. Thankfully my previous good experiences are the reason I will return. \n\nMy server said all of the right things but he acted too busy for me and would walk away while I was speaking to him. How rude. His words may have been saying the right things but his actions said otherwise. I ordered a coconut crusted Mahi that was a lunch special. The first piece was burned and burnt coconut is not appetizing. The server offered to bring another piece. Yes, please. I didn't eat much of my sides in anticipation of the new fillet. Sadly, I let the server take my sides away with my burned piece of fish. Guess the kitchen was upset with me. The next piece was beautifully golden but completely raw. By now my hour lunch break was over and I didn't have time to wait on a new meal, again. A manager came over an apologized and comped my meal. I left my server a big tip though he didn't really deserve it. Technically he did everything he was supposed to but I left feeling like ""one of those"" diners that gets talked badly about when I left. I don't LIKE being a pain but for a $15 lunch I expected more than burned or raw fish. (I love sushi but Mahi is not good raw). \n\nMaybe the restaurant made a poor decision to have coconut crusted Mahi since Mahi is a thick fish and if you can't cook it thoroughly without burning the crust use a different fish. I had some bread, a few bites of my sides, and a few bites of fish. I left the restaurant without being very satisfied and a bit hungry. \n\nWith the meal comped with no questions I will return again for lunch and request the server that calls me ""young lady"" though I'm 30. She was so nice and attentive. If I'm looking to pay high dollar for dinner I will go to Bonefish which has never once been disappointing and has always delivers amazing food and outstanding service. \n\n

My husband and I dined at Fresh Fish for his birthday and couldn't be happier. My husband ordered the king crab legs and had the largest order come that I have ever seen at a restaurant. The staff was very knowledgable about my fish selection and the service was outstanding. We highly recommend it!!

We went here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We were so disappointed in the food and especially the service.\nThe food was really average - not good. The waiter never looked us in the eyes, but looked off in the distance while answering our questions and taking our order. When our meal came, my husband chose two sides with his meal - but ony got one. When we asked the waiter about it, he said ""Oh,I forgot. We are out of noodles."" We wished we had gone to Elways - that's where we usually go for our anniversary. We will never be back here!

You've got to try this place -- best seafood in town! I?ve been eating at Fresh Fish Co for 15 years and it just keeps getting better. Awesome variety and I?m pleased whether I have a salad and appetizer or full crab leg dinner with sides and dessert. My favorites: Calamari, Tuna-sicles, Mahi with the tomatillo salsa or ginger sesame sauce, crab legs, Prime Rib, Key Lime Pie and Strawberry Berry Festival. And the menu is labeled for dietary considerations/restrictions -- gluten free, calorie counts, etc! \n\nThe Black Pearl Oyster Bar... it?s part of the restaurant and they have the best happy hour around. The happy hour menu includes a number of drink specials and a long list of appetizers for about $1.50 to $5. My favorites: BBQ Shrimp, Prime Rib Sandwich, Voodoo Yam Fries, Shark Fries, Calamari and the 50 cent oysters. 50 cent oysters!!! \n\nThe atmosphere and decor are nice and inviting, and the water fountain wall near the entrance is a relaxing, artistic touch. The staff is friendly and helpful, and one or more of the management/ownership team greets me by name and with a smile on their face every time I am there.

Truly the best seafood spot in Denver! Fish is mesquite grilled, boneless and fresh! Their calamari is to die for! Never had a bad meal or service. And that's what 20 yrs says about a restaurant that still packs them in! Last time we dined with the Fresh Fish company, which is usually twice a month, the food was spectacular! Our server was awesome, (I've seen her there everytime we go) I think she's been at the restaurant as long as they've been open! probably keep her around just b/c of her amazing ability to make you feel like your dining at a good friends home. Between the food and the service, the owners of FFC should be proud!

I hate being landlocked! Mostly I miss the sea and its bounty....I have finally found my sea again...almost! The atmosphere of this place is fantastic, with all the aquariums and subdued lighting. I was greeted promptly and taken to a booth close to LOTS of tropical fish. The offerings on the menu will keep me coming back again and again, as there was simply so much choice, even with ONE fish, the variety of preparations were enough to make me go back and forth until at last I settled on Salmon with a creole sauce to make me want to slap my momma...well, I would never do that, but it was euphoric. The fish was hot and prepared just right and the sauce....OH the sauce! The sides were all very fresh and the wedge salad with Blue cheese dressing was the bomb! My server was prompt, knowledgeable (that's how I finally settled on the Creole sauce) and very polite. The comments from the rest of the table were just as good and the portions did not dissapoint. Bottom line, being away from Florida still hurts, but at least I can use this great restaurant as a crutch between visits home. Bon Appetit!

What a total disappointment. It has taken me two days to recover from the most disgusting dining experience of my life. I took my mother there for her 80th birthday party at her request. What should have been the pinnacle of her special day turned into a truly miserable time for our party of 8. The sever was unbelievably rude. I can't even begin to tell you what it feels like to be continually ignored as if your not welcome at her restaurant. I so much enjoyed having my soup served after my entr?e (unbelievable), repeatedly asking for another drink, having been told repeatedly by her that the total on the bill didn't include the gratuity, are we getting the picture now. My guest kept asking me, doesn't this salmon taste like it came from the can. Guess what it did? The fish was totally over cooked and was only fit for the last meal at the Dumb Friends League. How do they stay in business? After being ignored and the other guest leaving, we stayed to pay the bill. Guess what one more reminder that the total didn't include the gratuity. What gratuity, you have insulted, ignored us all night. If you need to know more about the Fresh Fish Company you can read more in the Webster Dictionary under the heading Mediocrity Good luck to all that chose to take the chance of a truly unforgettable meal for all the wrong reasons. The one highlight of the evening was the busboy who was polite and did a great job of removing the food we couldn't stomach, which was most of it.

Have gone to this restaurant for at least 20 years. I took my 87 year old mother there for a lobster birthday dinner. They used to offer % off according to age. Not anymore. For years, we've received our cards in the mail. None have been received for any of us for this year. However, we have always shown our Id and it was accepted. They have changed the discount to a flat $15.00's and on down according to dinner, lunch and brunch. I didn't have a problem with the change of procedure, but I did have a problem with service, bar, food and overall horrid attitude of the dinner waiter and the food. He was put out because we had cocktails and appetizers during the happy hour and didn't want to order more. If you offer it, don't have your waiters cop an attitude. We ordered filet with lobster tail. The lobster was curled up and the size of a golf ball , had grizzle, rubber texture and totally tasteless. I never knew you could destroy a lobster like that. You are a Fresh Food Fish Company?? I could have done better at King Soopers and cooked it myself. Better taste texture and quality. The beef fillet was actually good. Wooha...lol The same with the appetizers, Calamari and Coconut shrimp were over cooked and tasted like rubber. Fresh Fish Company ?? Our server was a snot and had no patience for my 87 year old mother who was hard of hearing. Over priced, poor service, bad attitude, horrid food and after 20 years...I will never go back. I'm passing on the word to my friends and family. I could add more details on the rudeness of the waiter, but...enough...I will always go back to a restaurant with friendly and caring service. It's too bad that was once a good restaurant has ....gone to yuck

The Fresh Fish Company is a delightful place for a seafood meal. The fish is fresh, as the name states, and the service is very good - the waitstaff is very attentive - my water glass is never empty! The presentation is appealing, and the sauces for the entrees bring out the best flavors of the entree. My favorite side is the mashed sweet potatoes. This is one of our destination restaurants for special meals.

Wow! Our first experience with The Fresh Fish Company was for brunch on New Years Day. And we've already gone back. Great atmosphere. Great staff -- we really felt welcome. Better than great food!\r\nMy husband is a picky eater, but he ate everything and loved everything. We all love it. Can't wait to go back!

Easy to find on the south side of busy Hampden Avenue east of I-25, fish tank ambience, couples and family groups happily celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, plus excellent food and service! What's not to like? My husband and I have been there three times and not had a bad meal and enjoy the cheerful, ""can-do"" wait staff.

I really liked the fish options, tried both the grouper and mahi-mahi with the different sauces and great flavor. I thought it was a little pricey but the food was great and sometimes they run specials during the week if you sign up as a member.

My wife and I ate there and the meal was terrific. First, the Calamari is the best I've had. Previously, the best Calamari I'd had was in Santa Barbara. The Fresh Fish Co Calamari only uses sliced strips from the body, and the breading is really different from the usual standard plain batter. The portion of fish in the main course was large, and I like thick pieces of fish, and got a nice thick piece. The seafood meal here is the best I've had in Denver.

Sunday brunch was exceptional. Reminded us of the ritzy hotels. Fish was fresh and tastifully prepared. Other entrees were plentiful. Presentation was exception. Buffet was well-maintained. It will be on our list of must-do's when we come to Denver. D&D

I've eaten at a number of fish restaurants in my 64 years, and Fresh Fish Company is among the best! Their food is fresh and tasty, their service is great, and the prices are very affordable. I am especially fond of their shrimp coctails featuring 6 succelent, sweet prawns and the lobster and accompanying items are truly tasty! Finally, you just can't beat their desserts... that is, if you saved room for them. ;-)\r\n\r\nHighly recommended! --- Hankster

I've eaten at a number of fish restaurants in my 64 years, and Fresh Fish Company is among the best! Their food is fresh and tasty, their service is great, and the prices are very affordable. This has been a go-to Fish restaurant for more than 20 years for our family. The fish has ALWAYS been served \nin a presentable manner,, the side dishes tasty and the service always nearby, and not hovering. This unusual aspect, has always been their Birthday Club, no fee, and a discount equal to your birth age. We bring out of town people here, since we know the consistent variety and taste of their fish.

The service is excellent. I bring my wife, and we have a date-lunch or dinner. We have had most of the things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who likes fresh seafood, vegetables that are properly cooked, and service second to none. Come on and have a date-night with your spouse. You'll be happy and maybe lucky.

Since moving to Denver a year ago from Leadville, I have made this my favorite place. The service is excellent. You are remembered by management and staff. They even remember your quirks and cater to them. I bring my mother who is 87 and that is very important for her. I've had most of the things on the menue and have never been disappointed. Their wine by the galss is an excellent selection. My favorite, which I can only get by the bottle, - if it is even available - is available by the glass. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone who likes fresh seafood, vegetables that are properly cooked, and service second to none.\r\n\r\nMaryellen

This restaurant has been a constant performer over the years. The seafood is always fresh, the service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. Plus, they have a birthday club which entitles you to discounts equal, yes equal, to your age - how many restaurants offer this! I know you will enjoy your dining experience.

Looking for a great Sunday Brunch that is family friendly? \r\nMy husband and I took our four granddaughters to Sunday Brunch for their birthdays. The four young ladies included three thirteen-year-olds, and one twelve-year-old. The four of them were dressed up and ready for this annual outing with Grandma and Grandpa.\r\nThe wait staff was amazing! They pampered the girls and helped them feel special. When I started to take a picture, a gentleman came over from another table and offered to take a picture of all of us. It turned out that he was a regular customer who looked forward to his Sunday Brunch experience several times a month.\r\nWhen my husband got the check, our waiter had applied the ""Birthday Discount"" to each of the girl's meals.\r\nThis is a great place to take someone special for a memorable event. And on top of everything else, the selection and flavor of the foods was wonderful!\r\n

I have been going to The Fresh Fish Company since it opened. Although I live a three hour drive away, I save to go. I have never been disappointed. I have tasted so many fish dishes that I had never heard of, and found so extraordinary. The service is excellent; love the way I am treated. Now I belong to the birthday club, and I and my family had a marvelous lunch. The aquariums are a plus, especially when I take friends for the first time. There is always plenty of wheelchair parking available. Plenty of food on my plate. The best Fish Restaurant in the Denver area. On a scale of minnow to tuna, it rates a Sushi Grade Yellow Fin.!

I have been going to The Fresh Fish Company for at least 15 years 4 or 5 times a year and in that time I have only had 1 problem. The manager took care of it right away and made sure that everything else went well. If you like seafood and good friendly service I promise you that you will love The Fresh Fish Company.

They made our meal at the restarant a special event not just another meal. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and tasted GREAT. Thanks Fish Company for a special Birthday treat.

We have particularly grown fond of the luncheon shrimp scampi, but we've enjoyed everything we've ever ordered. There are many resaurants which could learn a great deal from studying The Fresh Fish Co. We hope they're ever on the Denver scene. Our daughter and son-in-law, visitng from Germany, are meeting friends there this evening by our receommendation.\r\n\r\nDave and Carol Ross

This is my ""go to place"", when I'm entertaining out-of-town guests, celebrating a special occasion, or catching a lunch between business appointments. Whether it is a group of 8 or I'm on my own, I have always received friendly and courteous service. That along with the menu variety and excellent food preparation makes it the first place to consider for lunch brunch or dinner.

My husband and I dined at The Fresh Fish Company for my 60th birthday. A very special meal for me. I was not disappointed. We were catered to in so many ways. The fish was very tasty and succulent. A nice quiet table by ourselves. Even though it was snowing horribly outside, we had a warm, relaxing dinner for two. I highly recommend.

The food & serve is excellent. A large menu to pick beutifully served dishes. The sauces they offer are a way to brighten up a nice mild fish. The side dishes are all excellent too.\r\nWe were lucky to have a very friendly wait person that was willing to answer our questions.\r\n\r\nThis is a nice place to take out of town visitors.

Found a dead white work in the salt shaker, told the server, not a word of apology or offer to discount the meal. Food was great years ago, something happened, the food was awful, i will no longer go there, and would advise anyone reading this to stay clear. AWFUL!!!!!

I'm surprised to see and read the March entries from folks who found The Fresh Fish Co way below their standards. For us, it's a special occasion to head in for dinner; especially on our birthdays.\r\nI'm seriously into well prepared and unusual fish that're hard to find fresh in a high, dry desert. My Honey loves their filet mignon, and that's about all she orders there anymore, although she thinks some of the side dishes, e.g. Vanilla Sweet Potatoes, could be entrees. The Filet is almost as high a quality steak as you'll find in Denver, and for a decent price.\r\nThe fish is, however, in the spotlight. Even with the most unusual and eclectic preparation combinations one can create, I can always taste the superb quality seafood, including their shellfish offerings. The wine list is more than just sufficient and the wait staff has a good knowledge of pairing, even if we get a wine flight. We've only had dessert a couple of times, and they were delicious which still 'light.'\r\nThe menu itself isn't a work of art or marketing genius, but the contents make the time to study it well worth the minor effort. Some of the fish have to be tried just to be believed and understood, and the waitstaff is typically a great guide with their knowledge. We don't rush any part of the meal, and the waitstaff doesn't push anyone. I'm guessing the typically turnover on a table is about 1:15 or even 1 and a half hour.\r\nSo, calling ahead for a reservation is a good idea, at least for dinner and almost certainly Sunday brunch. We've always found reservations easy to make and even to change. The bartenders appreciate a good pour of good quality liquor, and typically serve some of the best highballs in town. \r\nIn the last couple of years the reception staff have not been quite as gregarious, pleasant, conversant, and cheerful, but are still fine. \r\nIn sum, this is a moderately priced restaurant with some high quality food, and is on our list of preferred restaurants for us and meeting friends. Having to drive over an hour to get to it from the mountains, we wouldn't go there if it weren't special. \r\nI highly recommend it, even if it's not your birthday.

My wife and I are regular seafood eaters. We love fish that is fresh; grilled or blackened. We go to the Fresh Fish Company regularly and always had a good experience. Since we signed up for the birthday club, we always got the birthday discount before our birthday. Both of us are over 60, the discount is great (based on age). For the sides, we love the mash potato, the yam and the tomatos. To avoid the crowd, go there early or late. Our schedule is flexible so we have managed to avoid the real peak time successfully.

We had not been to Fresh Fish for years but the last time we went there it was horrible. I'm sorry to say that nothing has changed except for some remodeling. \r\n\r\nI made a reservation and when we got there, they seated us in the back next to the waiter station. When I asked if it would be noisey, the waitress told me that if we wanted to move, the wait would be at least a half and hour to an hour so we decided to stay there and chance it. \r\n\r\nThe booth they seated us in was not attached to the floor and so everytime the people behind us moved, we moved too! \r\n\r\nWe ordered mussels and escargot for starters. The mussels must have been sitting in the steamer for several hours and the escargot was simply drinched in butter and a bunch of herbs. Both were luke warm. \r\n\r\nWhen the entrees came, they were all cold too and my daughter's coconut shrimp was saturated with grease. \r\n\r\nThe food is horrible, the decor is outdated and it is severely overpriced for the quality. \r\n\r\nDo yourself a favor and spend half as much and go to Red Lobster. As bad as Red Lobstger, it's better than Fresh Fish!

Went last week for my b-day and friends b-day and 8 other friends. \r\n* bday special card is not what it says and they don't tell you til you are paying\r\n* service is BAD BAD BAD ! I thought the bus boy was going to punch someone with the hateful look on his face. we were afraid to ask for things.\r\n*when we did ask for things like silverware, napkins and water, we never got it and ended up taking it off another table. (not water!)\r\n*rarely clean plates available when going back to buffet. Had to wait long periods of time for them to come and by then a long line had formed and all plates were gone again\r\n*when going through buffet, the area is so small and crowded that it was difficult to get through, again took a LONG time\r\n*food was mediocore at best. Bland, tasteless and I make WAY better crab legs at home.\r\n*Hostess and other waitstaff were not friendly during the whole bad experience\r\n*We had reservations and still had to wait a half hour to be seated\r\n*I agree with all the other bad reviews\r\nGlad the day wasn't my actual b-day or the day would have been ruined. I/we usually tip 40% for great service. tipped the bare minimum for this one. STAY AWAY!\r\n

Suburbanites school up at this seafood house, but it's unclear just why. Maybe it's a sign of what landlocked fish-lovers will settle for this far from shore. The wide variety of fin and shellfish here are of modest quality at best,…
