I found these guys on the Internet and needed to have my 6 year old BMW detailed for resale. The 2 guys that I talked to were exceptionally professional and gave me a reasonable quote and were able to get the job done within a day. I am more than impressed with the job and would highly recommend these guys to anyone!

They do a good job,but I didn't find it extraordinary at all. A few things to remember
1. Make sure you check your mileage in and let them know you recorded it. They had driven my car quite a few miles when I got it back but I didn't record it when I dropped off the car so I couldn't say anything
2. The free pick up and drop off is just an advertisement! They give you so much attitude for it that you will end up passing on that.
3. The coupon is also useless. Those are their official prices anyway.
Nevertheless they didn't damage the car! So I'm fine with the whole thing.

I found these guys on the internet when I decided that maybe getting a detail would help me sell my volvo. I dropped it off in the morning and when I picked it up after work I was really impressed on how it came out. the paint really shined and they got all the stains out of the inside. The guys were really helpful and hopefully this will help me sell my car a little quicker.

I went to the Detail Factory to get my windows tinted and to get a good price. I talked with Chris the day before I went and he quoted me a great price for 5 windows. I got an early appointment and two hours later my windows were done, I didn't even have time to finish my Chistmas shopping. The work was great, clean, and professional I would recommend this place to anyone. Chris, I think that he is the owner, and his staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the service was great. All in all the experience, albeit fast, was a great one and I will be bringing my other car to get it detailed very soon. If you are looking to get tinting or deatailing (which is their specialty) done, do not overlook this place. The service is great and the guys there are down to earth, Chris, the owner, was walking around in flip-flops! But do not let the appearances fool you, the guys are great at what they do and they have a track record to prove it! Thanks fellas, I'll be seeing you soon.

After reading so many of the reviews on here, I figured I would give them a shot when I wanted to tint the windows on my 07 BMW 335i.

When I got my car, even the guy at the shop said it was a bad job and called the owner on the phone. Well it turns out the Detail Shop doesn't do their own tinting, they hire someone else to come in and do it for them. After I learned that, the owner who was on the phone said I had to pay before I could get my keys back and if I had any problems I'd have to go across town to the shop run by the guys who did my windows. Nice.

I was very unhappy, but I paid anyhow and drove to the other shop - which of course was closed.

After a few weeks of calling and playing phone tag with people at the Detail Shop and at the tinting shop, I finally just gave up. It's been about 10 months since then, and the tint is ripping in small places on both the driver and passenger side. The back window has bubbles forming and it really looks bad around the top where the matrix is. We're talking put on by a high school kid bad - and on a $60k car. That just says class!

So anyhow, now I'm going to have to shell out more cash to have this stuff removed and then retinted properly, but this time it will be by someone who will back up their service!

Bottom line, if you want your car detailed go here, but if you need your windows tinted, go to a real tint shop...

I just got a car at an auction, basically sight unseen ( at least the inside ). I was horrified when I got in 'cos the car was filthy inside and stunk like a kennel. It seemed like the previous owner kept his dogs locked up in there, after letting them run around in the mud ( and did this repeatedly for the 9 years he owned the car, without ever cleaning it once- you can now imagine how bad it was !) The Detail Factory Guys were supercool. They promised they would take care of it and they did. They let loose some super Gal with Golden Hands. I was blown away when I picked it up that evening- it was unrecognizable- almost like a new car ( well at least new to me ! )
Thanks guys! I arrived in the morning feeling like the biggest dope on earth, and left that evening feeling like a winner. They were the best quote around, and the service was conducted with a smile, with a great walkaround afterwards and excellent advice for future upkeep! I promised you guys a great review- I hope I delivered, 'cos you sure did !!!

They'll clean your car and wax it, but beyond that, nothing else. I brought my car in to remove swirls and but one week later the swirls can be seen under the sun again. They didn't do anything but charge me HIGH price just to apply a wax job on it. I called them and asked what they did and the guy YELLED at me for not knowing anything about black cars. What the hell. I did not pay $100 more here for a wax job and to get yelled at because I never owned a black car before.

I did some research on car forums and none of them recommended this place. Watch out if you have a black car.

the service and quality of work was spectacular my car had all these little scratches from going through touchless car washes and the detail factory were able to remove them. on top of that service i live in san francisco so my bumpers get pretty hammered and they have a service to refinish bumpers and make them look real good.

after i got back from burning man my audi looked like the "thing" with 4 wheels. it was covered with mud from head to toe including me! anyways a buddy of mine told me about this place because he's really into cars so i took it here and when i got it back, it went from the "thing" to almost looking like the day i bought it. there was no trace of any dirt from the outside to the inside. i even checked under the floor mats and no dirt! if anyone has been to burning man you can understand how dirty it can get. i'll for sure come back and definitely be using these guys after the next burning man.

I went to the Detail Factory based on the great reviews here and their consistent awards. I have a very well maintained black MBZ that I wanted to protect with their top of the line polish/wax job. When I brought it in, it had no swirl marks and to most people, it was in near immaculate condition. After I picked it up, it looked great in the indoor/garage flourecent lighting. When I first washed it, sun light revealed a TON of swirl marks...of which I know I did not make given I used high quality german microfiber mitts, cloths and shampoo. When I took it back, they did not want to fix it given a few weeks had elapsed. Finally, they re-polished and waxed it and once again, it looked great indoors. However, 70% of the swirl marks remained when viewed in the sun light. That said, I'm sure they must have done a great job for many people to have garnered all the reviews here....but personally, I am quite upset. To spend the kind of money I did to have them ruin my paint is something I still get very emotional about....I know black is a tough color to manage, but in no instance should anyone receive a car in poorer condition. So, if you have a well maintained black car...beware.

i went fishing in bodega bay for salmon, we hooked a lot of fish there were five of us in my jeep grand cherokee and we forgot to bring an ice chest. we put the fish in plastic bags supplied by the charter boat but the fish were much much larger then the bags. with ice in the bags and fish in the bags we went to outback steak house for dinner on our way back to the city. needless to say it was hot in marin the liquids in the fish ended up in the carpeting and the heat made it smell like a seattle fish market it was bad. i went home and slept the next day leaving my car parked on the street and forgot to clean the back out. the next day i get in the car and i almost gagged. i brought it to ray at the detail factory and he almost gagged i asked if there was anything he could do. he charged me a hundred dollars for an interior detail he kept the car for two days but he got the smell out and the bl@@d stains in my rear carpet. i highly recommend this shop to anyone. i wish i ould explain how bad my car smelled from a new car to a fish market, back to a new car.

i recently bought a car from chicago and needless to say as soon as the dealer got my money they didn't really care about how the car got to me. so they shipped it out to me here in the city and it was a mess! you can just imagine how dirty a car can get coming cross country. dirt, insects and some kind of weird gray stuff all over the car! anyways my friend told me about the detail factory so i took it there last week. i dropped it off and when i came back it was like i just bought the car here at the san francisco bmw rather than the chicago bmw. it was emaculate! no dirt no streaks no gray stuff! it's a black car so it's easy to see any imperfections, but i couldn't see any. needless to say i was very impressed with work they did and the staff was also quite helpful as well. i will definitely trust them to keep my care imaculate throughout the future and recommend them to my friends.

I just recently bought an old van to go surfing with, it was really dirty and I washed and vacuumed it myself but found it was still so dusty/dirty inside it was making me sick. So I ponied up the $150 to have a professional detailer "the detail factory" clean the interior. They said they would also do a quick wash of the exterior for free! When I picked up the van I found they had washed the carpets and cleaned the glass well. They drenched the interior in armorial, maybe it needed it but I had to wipe off pools of it from around the dash and the driver-side floor, it was very slippery and made braking uncertain.
I found they had not bothered to clean the sun visors and did not vacuum under the carpets in the back but worst of all was they had run water over the roof and let it drip down the van causing drip marks that needed to be buffed out, very time consuming. They had not washed the exterior at all! I took it back and asked that they at least get rid of all the drip lines down both sides of the van. With the attitude of a fourth grader being told to clean his room they agreed to do the work. Later when I picked it up, I had car polish on my windows and hubcaps and there was still work to do to remove the drip marks, more work for me. I can not recoment the detail factory at all, they did a very poor job and I will spend today at the self wash, vacuming and polishing.

Just like a few others that posted, I actually couldn't believe how nice my car came out.

Its a 2001 Audi A4 and this was the first time I took it to a detailer. Usually never wanted to spend the extra money. But this time was different, I really love my car but since I bought it from a person who kept it on the street, it had this thin coat of sap on the exterior. I tried, really tried to get it off, but it took forever.

When I picked up my car it was like a gloss coating was put on top. They buff'ed the exterior and got it all off. The engine cleaning was also amazing. I mean, it actually feels like it drives better now (I know, it's just that it looks so good now).

Anyway, great service, they did what they said they would and my car looks great.

Yeah, its located in a parking garage that doesn't have that much light, but they still did a great job.

Take a look at a few of the cars that drive out, if you are still undecided.

They should call themselves "Attention to Detail Factory" because that is exactly what they do. I brought in my 2001 BMW 330i a couple of weeks ago. They went over the car from front to back, inside to outside and top to bottom and transformed it into mint condition. Truly a one stop shop. They arranged for someone to come in and take out various dents. They did a marvelous job on the interior, which was my main concern. I personally don't like the new BMW design. Thanks to these guys I now have a Bimmer that looks like new and has better looks than a new BMW. They way I look at it Detail Factory saved me tens of thousands of dollar. Ray and team take a lot of pride in their work and it shows. I highly recommend them.

My black Ford Explorer had seen better days, leather was cracking, paint was fading, tint was peeling, and rims were shot, so figured it deserved one last detail before selling it. I also thought that while it wouldn't look new, I could at least make it look presentable, which it was not even close to being! I was wrong! I drove my 10 yr old Explorer over to The Detail Factory last week, spoke with the owner; think his name is Ray, and negotiated a very fair deal, explaining that I wasn't keeping the car and only wanted to make it pass a potential buyer's inspection. Asked for a full detail inside and out, and a replacement window tint. Ray gave me a price for everything that was much less than what I had estimated; spent the day roaming the streets of SF, and by mid afternoon, tehy called to say my car was ready.... When I arrived back at The Detail Factory, I saw what I thought I was hallucinating: A black shiny, sparkling black Explorer; rims you could lick they were so clean, perfect window tint, and leather as smooth as a baby's @%#! I walked up to it thinking I would still notice the inconsistencies it had in the paint, and to my surprise, even when looking at the paint at an angle, it was flawless, and I mean FLAWLESS! My mind then started running at 100mph; "Well why should I sell it when it looks this good? What was I thinking by not taking care of it all this time? Am I dreaming?" I then smiled, gave both the owner and one of his detailers (named Orlando) who BOTH worked on my car a very nice tip, and drove up the driveway, turning onto Mission Street, stopping at each intersection to see the crisp reflection of my car in the store windows and other car's windows. The job that these guys did made my weekend and saved me a lot of money in terms of not having to go out and buy a new car! I then promised myself that I would buy one of their packages. I've been taking my vehicle to this guy "Chris" at the Detail Factory for quite sometime now and he always seem to amaze me on the excellent detail work. I own a triple black 2006 745 with staggered wheels and my worst thing to ever see is swirls on the paint! This detail shop is like no other I have been to, aside from having a hot spot so i can get internet access to do my work on my laptop while waiting, they had excellent customer service and surpassed my expectations. They made my 05 745i look like it did when I first bought it off the show room floor. All the little parking lot scratches were gone, my rugs were clean, not even a specof dust on my dash, and it smelt great as well. This is definitley my new place for all my cars to get fully detailed and they do regular washes as well. There website gave me a great description off all the different packages they have and what is included in each one. Out off all the places I have had my car detailed I'd say this was the best experience.

As a college student, I am on a limited budget but I like to keep my personal belongings such as my car in the best condition possible. My friend recommended The Detail Factory so I gave it a shot and WOW!!!

When I showed up, I told the manager that I was slightly strapped for cash and he gave me a very fair price and took a little extra time on my jetta. When I came back to pick my car up, the paint was freshly waxed and as shiny as when I picked it up from the dealer when I bought it. The interior was spotless, vacuumed, and windows sparkling.

The bottom line here is that these guys really care, are very nice to deal with, and do an amazing detail. I'm very happy with my car and will go back and get my windows tinted and car detailed again. Thanks a lot Detail Factory!

for everything else, there's Mastercard! I have never seen a car detail shop of this quality anywhere! I own several cars and drive them hard; and most recently my Porsche Cayenne was left outside with mineralized water on it for weeks. The sun baked the hard water spots into my black paint and faded the factory finish. My 2006 Cayenne Turbo now looked like a 1996 Toyota 4-Runner! The dealer told me that I'd need the body shop to paint the hood and use rubbing compound on the rest of it! By the way, this is on a car with 8000 miles!
My friend Alfred mentioned his Mercedes 500 SL had a detail and that the place did an amazing job; and, I know for a fact that Alfred eats his breakfast (normally a sloppy breakfast burrito that his maid hands him on his way out the door) while he drives to work. And, well, his creme leather interior suffers from hot sauce and grease splatters as his big gut gets refueled by huevos and tabasco!
When he showed me his car after it spent the good part of Saturday in The Detail Factory, you would have thought that it just came off the showroom floor. The 500 SL smelled new, looked new, and the leather felt new.
So, I took my Cayenne in on Monday and this guy named Ray looked at me when I handed over the keys like the job was going to be a walk in the park. I begged him not to use any harsh compounds or anything on my new (even though it looked old) Cayenne.
When I came back in the early afternoon, Ray was sitting at his desk sipping a can of Rockstar with a big smile on his face. As I looked over to the showroom clean line up of cars, I saw a black Cayenne that I only wished was mine. I asked him when my car would be ready and he pointed to that very same Cayenne. I almost fainted! The car looked BRAND NEW! I tipped these guys like nobody's business, jumped in my car, called my girlfriend, cranked up the music and drove down the Embarcadero singing Frank Sinatra songs at the top of my lungs as I headed across the Golden Gate bridge.

Ray the owner of this amazing car detail shop knows exactly what he's doing. From service with a smile, to going above and beyond in care, The Detail Factory is the BEST place in the city to get a detail. I'm very picky and Chris and Orlando did an impeccable job on my brand new car. The interior looks amazing and the body is as smooth as silk after it was waxed. Ask for Chris' wax; a special formulation of the highest quality wax available!

Oh, and to put the icing on the cake, the guys are really cute, especially Ray!

Definitely a new experience. I didn't once have to haggle over the prices. Fair and honest quote. Very helpful in describing what would actually take place. Fast and efficient work. He was always polite and he really made sure the job got done.

Chris! You are the man! I have had my car detailed and polished from previous locations looking for the right guys to do my car up to my standards and have found the right place. I was a bit skeptical about the location but finally was approached by Chris who did say in his words "I am the best polisher out here" which I have to agree. He promised that when he is finished my car it l be looking like fresh wet dripping paint. I have to say it was a bit pricy but was all worth it, you get what you pay for. I am a lifetime customer! Thank you Chris! I'll see you in a few months!

When I called, they answered the phone like I was bothering them. Though I was dubious, I scheduled an appointment anyway based on the positive reviews I read here. I arrived at their shop at the time of my appointment and the shop door was shut. I looked around asked the business next door if I was at the right place. They said yes. I called the Detail Factory number hoping someone was inside. I got the answering machine so I left a message telling them I was waiting outside at the appointed time and leaving my phone number. I waited for half an hour past the time of my appointment. No one came and no one called me back that day or any day after. Horrible service and experience.

The Detail Factory goes the extra distance !! I was getting worried that I wouldnt find a seller for my vintage 1960's classic car, when I read the Citysearch reviews and found the Detail Factory. I called and even though they were completely booked for the afternoon, they squeezed me in. The quote was reasonable, and they kept my car till the next morning... One of the guys even came in an hour prior to his shift starting to make sure my car was finished by the time they opened. When I arrived, I was floored. The exterior just gleamed, the interior was perfect, even the motor and the trunk were as shiny as could be. It was well worth it ! I had no problems selling my car.. Thanks Detail Factory !!!

The Detail Factory by far exceeded my expectations! I got my windows tinted by Ray and I was so impressed that I went back to get the clear bra put on. In my experience with all my cars, The Detail Factory did the most complete, detail, and professional job I've seen. Ray is a car-lover himself so he took great care of my car. The Detail Factory is the BEST car detailing outfit I have ever seen. In fact, I do not allow anyone else to get near my vehicle. Ray and Chris not only take their time and are very meticulous, but they are very fair when it comes to price quotes, and leave my car looking brand new each time I take it in. The Detail Factory is better than any detailing company in LA, where I have recently moved up from; speaking of LA, these guys should open one in LA. Try The Detail Factory out; I can assure you that you will not find a better wash and/or detail anywhere in the City; these guys are amazing!

We brought our car in after 3 hard years of transporting active kids and a shedding labrador. Our car has had more than it's share of scratches, plenty of peanut butter and jelly jam stains, and mud stains from rainy soccer games.

After 7 hours of labor at The Detail Factory, I didn't recognize my car. I kid you not - I thought they gave up and replaced it with a new one and I'd have the biggest detail bill ever. They are miracle workers at The Detail Factory - hard working guys that want you to feel proud when you roll out of their driveway.

Having a full size truck in the city is tough, but The Detail Factory not only removed all the scratches, but made my truck look brand new. Some people complain about it being in a odd location, but the deal I got for detailing my truck was literally hundreds of dollars less than anywhere else. Service is great, and I will send everyone I know to them in the future.

I just moved here from LA two months ago.I have an Audi A8 and have been getting my cars
done by the same guy for five years.My car is black and im vary picky as one should
be when spending that kind of money on a car.I called around and really felt a good vibe from the owner of DF. As I arrived I saw a black car that was finished and it looked like glass.I was also informed that they did all the cars from the Audi dealer.
Another bonus.Mine came out so perfect that I baught a wash package as well.
Really a great experiance over all .They even got out some scratches that the last
guy didnt.VERY PLEASED!

not only was the exterior of my car not washed well, they left a very chemically smelling product in my car interior, left some sort of glass cleaning product smeared all over the rear window ( which I still haven't been able to get off) and their attitudes were less then warm. I actually had to have my car detailed AGAIN --this time at a local car wash in the mission and they did a perfect job for a 1/3 of the cost that the detail factory charged. I don't know how they got such high ratings, but I wished that other reviewers had shared their expereinces before I brought my car here and wasted $200!

After entering the dungeon where the work is done, with insufficient lighting and little ventilation, you are soliticed for sales. I picked up my car and on the exterior there were a few smudges, but generally it just looked greasy. I wiped dirt off from my licesnse plate area with my hand, at the wheel well, where the grease collects just behind the tire was not cleaned at all. I opened the glove and all the lotion that was spilled was still there, it hadn't even been opened after I took the time to clean it out. Windows/not done that great. Carpet shampoo was the only positive thing I can say I got out of the experience. I could have went to Touchless and felt like I got a deal for half the price!

I took my 2005 black sapphire metallic BMW into the Detail Factory for a complete protection package detail. As a car enthusiast I am extremely particular about how the car looks. When they were finished (within the exact time they said they would be) I could hardly believe the incredible sparkle inside and out! Tremendous care and detail had been taken in making my car polished and beautiful. My expectations were far exeeded and I cannot recomend them highly enough. As a business owner myself I know just how important customer service is, and the Detail Factory is hands down the best in its feild.

After doing some research and talking to a few other outlets (some of whom have no shame about what they charge), these guys not only gave me a great deal for my badly trashed up car, they were nice about the whole process. Who would've thought value and service would be a recipe for success? These guys are legit - got the car done in a day and it looked like I had just bought it.

Not sure how they became #1?! This place is just about average, not #1. Inspect what you expect, but you have to look at your car outdoors after they are done because their basement parking area location is so dark. They barely cleaned my windows, forgot my gauges and ashtray, didnt get scratches out they said they would, returned my car with soaking carpet. These guys poor on the charm but I think they are so busy because of their #1 rating that they are forgetting the details. Buyer beware.

Took my car in to get detailed and have some dings repaired. Not only did they not think they could get the dings repaired (the real reason I went there) but then they tried to increase the price for the detailing. Do they expect cars to come in super clean? They tried to charge me $50 extra because I've had a dog in the car, even though the car was not that dirty. (I had just cleaned it for a trip down to LA 5 days prior)

I was extremely impressed with The Detail Factory. They came to my work, picked up my car, and then dropped it off again at the end of the work day! I was going to replace some old tint on the rear window, but they took the time to advise me on what would look best on the car and I ended up removing all the old tint on the entire car (which I think was cheaper than what I originally wanted to do). They were fast, friendly, and very thorough, and did an excellent job. I will definitely go back to them when my car needs detailing in the future, and would recommend them to others.

Great job with my M5! Looks better than when I first picked it up 2 years ago. Started getting swirl marks from other car washes. Detail Factory got them all out. Very happy with the work and the price was just right. Highly recommend for the picky car enthusiast.

These guys are legit and did a beautiful job on my 911. I felt like they treated it like their own. I'm always worried about handing my car off to a detailer as I'm very picky and have rarely been this satisfied with other detailers- I spent quite a bit of time chatting with multiple detailers on the phone prior to choosing Detail Factory... I can tell you that I will go back for sure. These guys take their work very personally-- I love that! Not only do they do a great job (they went above and beyond for me), but they are a fantastic value and finished the car quickly and thoroughly by appointment. I picked up a few cards to pass on to friends because I know the compliments will be coming :)

After having my car paint burned through to the metal by another detailer 8 months ago, Ray and Brian gave me some great "detail therapy" and got me to bring in my black 86 carrera. they rocked! the detail, fixed a lot of the previous detailers damage and now i have a wash package with them to keep it in great shape.

Pros: experienced, knowledgable, professional
