Spa Uptown

I recently moved from the New York area and was very attached to my stylist. She had styled my hair for the past four years, along with my husbands. When I was getting married I wouldnt let anybody else touch my hair. When I moved to the Pittsburgh area I did not know if I could find another stylist who would meet my high expectations. Well I did! At Spa Uptown, Rachel and the rest of the crew treated me like a Queen. I was offered all the same extras that I previously received. When it came to my blonde highlights, Rachel listened to what I had to say and put her own spin on it. More importantly I have never experienced so much personal attention at a salon. I highly recommend Spa Uptown for their well trained stylists, relaxing atmosphere, and sunny dispositions! You wont be disappointed!

Spa Uptown is the most relaxing, soothing and professional place of business I have ever been to. Before I visited Spa Uptown I have never had the pleasure to have a professional massage done. And I was uncomfortable, and very tense on having one preformed. Durrell The gentleman on whom preformed the massage was very professional and kind in proforming his job. He made me feel comfortable, relaxed and soothed about the whole experience. He not only helped me with my back problems but, he involved in the massage by asking where it hurt the most. This made me feel as though I was in control on what was being done and that it would be taken care of. Now that I am expecting not only will i plan to visit time and time again but, I will be asking friends and family to join me at Spa Uptown!!! Thank you Durrell!!!

Jack is totally awesome - he performed magic and totally fixed a bad haircut - and made me look very much like me! I and thrilled with the results. I am from out of town, and I actually think parking is very reasonable. Very nice relaxed atmosphere, but very professional. Great experience and I will definitely come back when I am in town! Jo

Geri truly gives the best haircut in the city of Pittsburgh. They are always perfect, and they really last! She is also great with color. I love the shop and the view. I highly recommend Spa Uptown.

This is my first visit to this spa and I would definately go back..and recommend it to others! Dana did a pedicure for me -- she's GREAT. I'm going back for a manicure next. What is included in this spa pedicure is often 'extra' other places so that was an added bonus! They have a pedicure room, which I enjoyed. The place is clean, up-to-date and easy to find. The front desk staff is not friendly (in person or on the phone) so don't ask them too many questions - but (surprisingly) I find this to be true in a lot of local salons.

Pros: Dana is the reason I would return -
Cons: unfriendly front desk staff is a turn-off - Parking is a pain (but that's true anywhere downtown)
