Amazing Coffee...  5 Star Rating - World class

The coffee served is Fair Trade/ Organic and locally roasted as well. Starbucks is burnt charred remains of what used to be some Congo sickened beans, so no wonder the guy before didnt like the coffee, he has no taste buds!

But seriously, its a great spot and they do have amazing coffee!

Not too thrilled  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I wasn't really fond of the coffee, and to me it tasted kind of old. I am a regular Starbucks drinker, so I suppose it's hard to follow behind that. I also did not like the pastry that was served, it was hard, and just didn't taste good either. I can't recommend this place for coffee.

my favorite spot  5 Star Rating - World class

I love the chai latte. Service is good. You may come in and see the an owner cleaning, greeting people or etc. Prices are affordable and you can get a good healthy lunch here. Great coffee here.
If you need a nice quiet place to meet, to study or to just read, this is it.

The daily soups are always a treat. They can be a bit too exotic for me but if your taste buds are daring, go for it.

New World Coffee  4 Star Rating - Very good

Great lil' hide away in the corner. It is not very big but quaint and comfortable. Bathrooms are also clean, which is a plus.

It has a nice area if you just want to sit back and be comfy. The prices are reasonable and if hunger catches you, there are great healthy options to choose from.

Great Independent local coffee shop!!!! 5 Star Rating - World class

This is an excellent spot to meet great people and have a good cup of coffee!!! They serve Larry's beans, which is a local fair trade roaster.
Also, they have started having live music at 8pm on Friday nights (and some Saturdays!) with indoor and outdoor seating. I definitely recommend this to anyone in the area or people who are just passing through!

Great coffee and food 5 Star Rating - World class

This coffee shop is an amazing find in N. Raleigh! They have food and many interesting menu items to choose from as well. The staff has always been extremely pleasant. A great place to work on your computer, read a book or just talk with friends. Come here over chain coffee shops any day! And the beans are locally roasted and it's locally owned...awesome

Pros: Amazing coffee, great staff
Cons: Parking

Great coffee, though often up to 2-3 people in line behind me are served first 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

Wonderful coffee, decent food, pushing in line allowed

The problem is they allow people to push in line and get served after you've already paid, but you haven't received yours yet, with sometimes up to 2-3 people getting theirs prepared first because their order is simpler. It should be first come first served. Which means if I was there first, my order should be worked on first and while it's preparing the next order can be worked on. Common sense

It generally depends on the air of importance the pusher puts on, and how pushy they are at the counter trying to squeaze you from the counter before you're even done with the order. However, when I'm in a rush mine takes just as long as always. Going to stop coming her for a while.

Giving it a 3 star/average because of the sometimes unpleasant ordering dynamics. No one wants to be sent to the back of the bus for no good reason.

Pros: Great coffee, friendly staff, nice walls
Cons: Self-important people being served out of order - UNFAIR

Best coffee, great atmosphere 5 Star Rating - World class

Like a previous reviewer, I hate that I didn't find this wonderful coffee shop earlier! I've been wasting my money on mediocre and overpriced coffee at the two other big coffee chains in the area.

The atmosphere is wonderful. The front of the shop has several tables and chairs. Move towards the back of the shop, and there are several cozy chairs and sofas for those wanting to get comfortable to chat with friends or get a little work done with their free Wi-Fi.

I have definitely found my new coffee hang-out.

Pros: Amazing coffee, awesome atmosphere, great music. I'm in love!
Cons: None to speak of.

Fantastic Find! 5 Star Rating - World class

I can't believe I never discovered The New World before this .................... definitely wish I'd found it long ago. The New World Coffee Shop is nestled between some rather ordinary shops on the side of a strip mall so it's rather obscure and easy to miss. But it is a truly fantastic place well worth going out of the way for.

The atmosphere is calm and very interesting. Smaller seating areas are separated to create an intimate feel while still offering plenty of space for patrons. And the food is out of this world. Interesting soups, delicious wraps and decadent desserts are what you'll get at New World. And it will all be served up at reasonable prices by very friendly staff.

A great place to grab a bite to eat or to sit back and relax with a cup of coffee. I'll definitely be going back.

Pros: Great Wraps, Friendly Service, Neat Ambience
Cons: I didn't discover it sooner
