Manor House Cellar

I went to the Manor House Cellar tonight looking for one good value wine. I was approached by a salesperson with a major attitude and seemed not to want to be bothered because I was not spending over $10.00. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated and The Manor House Cellar has lost a customer. Poor service and evidently the wine was more than lacking. This store receives ZERO STARS!

I just got back to the city of NY and just had to stop by my favorite wineshop. The Manor House Cellar.

What happened? The customer service, knowledgeable staff and free wine tasting suddenly disappeared.

This is not the same store and I am truly disappointed. Don't think I will return.

I had an opportunity recently to stop by Manor House Cellar in Manhattan. I was very impressed initially with a broad selection of fabulous wines. While I was perusing the selctions, I was greeted by a well informed, enthusastic and helpful person who educated me on my selections and made other reccomendations on some great wine values.

The following week I went back and bought over 100 bottles for holiday gifts for my work colleagues. I have not had a better customer experience in New York City in a long time! Bravo Manor House Cellar!

I have been a customer of this store for the last couple of years and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff is very polite and most of all they know there products. We enjoy wine and find that there selection is one of the best in the city.

While finding wine and liquor establishments Manhattan is not a hard task, finding a place where the owners and friendly and knowledgable is rare. Manor House Cellars was recommended to me by a friend who lives in the west 20's. I live near the United Nations and visit MHC for my personal and professional events. They are exrtremely helpful and know their product. In an age of the mega store, it is a pleasure working with people that greet you by name and know what customer service is all about. I highly recommend MHC.

Simply the best there is. After going there once after a recommendation from a friend, I have yet to go anywhere else unless I'm away from the city. A wonderful place to entrust with your wine and liquor needs, with its immense collection of wine and liquor that seems to be unparalled within the city. Exquisite decor, amazingly friendly staff that have the range of knowledge, patience, and expertise to not just guide an amateur, but bring something new to the palate of a pro. I was impressed and never cease to be, which is why I felt compelled to write a review. Highly recommended!!

Only a person who has visited other wine locations can understand the value of knowlageble staff, good service, large veriety and excelent product quality. I have being going The Manor House for a couple of years now, I allways find not only what I'm looking for but new wines and spirits introduced by their expert staff members. It's such a pleasure to stop by the store and "talk wine", these people have tasting events to impress the most excruciating wine critic and enthusiast. I must confess that sometimes I stop by just to have an intelligent conversation about one of my favorites subjects such as wine and liquours in general, after a conversation with one of the guys I can't help not buying a bottle or two to extend that pleasure in the privacy of my own home with friends.
I had the chance to meet one of the owners after he kindly open the door for me and asked if I found what I was looking for, we engaged in this wonderful conversation which he described and recommended some other products to me.
I would strogly recommend it to any of my friends to check them out and most likely we will bump into each other there.
