I wish I would have read these reviews before we booked our car. The ride from JFK to our hotel in Manhattan was fine. However, the ride back was unacceptable. We ordered a town car and what showed up was a minivan. A MINIVAN?!! The ride in the mini van made my husband sick and before we got on a plane no less. Below is there response to our "inconvenience" and my reply. Be warned - they are a rip-off that need a lesson or ten in customer service. Never again. Ever.

This is the acknowledgement of the inconvenience we experienced? A $5.00 coupon for your services again? First of all, I will never be in NYC or the surrounding area again as I was just visiting, so your coupon will be of no use. Second of all, the fact that we ordered a town car and were provided a mini-van is ridiculous and unacceptable. As I stated during my phone conversation with customer service, we could have easily flagged a cab for not only less money, but for a smoother ride. The mini-van made my husband sick and that alone should be enough to issue a refund of some sort, not just a $5.00 coupon for a service I will never use again.

Since you have so kindly showed SUCH a gratuitous level of customer service, I shall make sure that I return the favor. I'll be making my way around each and every travel website today including Yelp, Expedia, Travelocity, Trip Advisor and any other blogs I may find to copy our experience and your email response below. I believe others should be aware of the level of customer service your company provides before making their decision to use your services.

Dial 7 should be ashamed of themselves for having a supervisor say she is trying to get rid of an employee before her probation period is up because she is pregnant. Now, I understand that's how the company may feel towards having a new employee who is pregnant but the supervisor should have enough experience to not mention it in the presence of other employees...
I think the supervisors needs to be trained on how to talk to employees because even the male supervisors speaks to the female employees as if they don't deserve respect which in my opinion can cause these workers to be frustrated and display poor working attitude. Some company's try to make sure there employees needs are meet so there won't be no excuse for poor work performance.

When our ride was over the driver handed me a receipt with 1 total on it...when I asked if the 20% gratuity was included he said it would be applied in the end, for which I said, I'd like to pay the tip in cash and he of course agreed. I handed him $80 cash for the tip and took the receipt. We were with a group of friends having a good time and did not think I needed to actually take the time to drill him on the hourly break down etc...soon after I realized that he DID in fact charge me the 20% gratuity on TOP of the base fair but did not make this clear on the receipt, so I double tipped him. When I called to complain they gave me the run around...and now they are saying since I signed the slip it's my word against his on the cash tip. A reputable business would immediately credit me on the double tip and apologize for such poor service from their employee.

Last week I was heading to Miami, FL for my honeymoon. I found Dial 7 online and was very happy with the service. I would tell my friends to use dial 7 for all of their car service needs.

We used this service from JFK to Manhattan, and back again. I thought the service was good both ways. Also, it was a very smooth ride. Not like the cabs that speed and try to get rid of you, so they can pick up another fare. I will definately use them again, and hopefully it will just as good.

There is no a better car service in New York than dial7. Period. I have used many cars services in New York because I live in Manhattan and I do not own a car. Dial7 always provide me with a prompt service and the drivers were very polite in most cases. Also, the phone operators were very professional. The pricing to JFK is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

My son's wedding was in Brooklyn the Saturday night of the big blizzard. I had many guests from out of the country who were staying int the city. Dial 7 saved the day! Even though the driving was really bad during the blizzard, everyone was picked up on time and the wedding went on as scheduled. I have an elderly mother who lives in New Jersey. Her driver was patient and courteous. Everyone got home safely. The night could have been a disaster. Instead, because of Dial 7 it was a beautiful night that everyone enjoyed. Thank You Dial 7!

That bought me a chauffeured upscale town car, serving water and with wi-fi access in the car. For a 1.5 hr. drive that was precious. The driver was terrific and dressed to the nines. The town Car was smooth and pleasant.

I read some of the other reviews and I'm flabbergasted why someone would make a Limo driver wait in a no parking zone and then complain. Anyone that has ever driven in the city knows that even 60 seconds is an eternity in which a ticket is surely coming. One of the benefits of using a reliable company like Dial 7 is that the car is waiting for you, not the other way around, and it's common courtesy to get to the car when you say you wanted it, not five minutes later. So thank you Dial 7 for always being on time and you guys are the best!

You never knew what you were going to get from the drivers, but I had Dial7 programmed into my favorites and it had just become easy and routine

Today I booked a 4pm pick-up on 19th Street to catch a business flight from LGA. I got held up trying to get out of the office and arrived downstairs at 4:05. As soon as we sat down in the car the driver, enraged, began yelling at my colleague and I about a ticket he had just received for leaving the car in a no standing zone. We apologized and explained we were only 5 minutes late. He became enraged, yelling at us from the front seat. ""I can't afford this ticket, are you going to pay this ticket!"" I asked the driver to let us out of the car if he intended to berate us all the way to the airport. He clearly he did intend to yell at us because he pulled over and continued to yell some more as we took our own luggage out of the trunk.

A call to customer service yielded the following exchange. ""Well you have to understand the driver's point of view, you were late."" Me, ""Less than 5 minutes, and we apologized, but he was totally out of line."" Him, ""What do you want me to do?... You want me to fire him? What am I supposed to do? He has to pay that ticket.""

Goodbye Dial7.... and Good Riddance.

On top of that, he didn't even give me my receipt, so I had to find that nice addition once I got my credit card statement, then talk to 2 people at the company that tried to defend said crazy driver. He seriously at least should be reprimanded and I think that's just a tad illegal to add that.

Seriously people, think twice about using this company. I've used companies in LA that are way nicer and not shiesty!

I chose Tel-aviv Limo service which turned out to be Dial 7 limo for my engagement (tel-aviv quoted me a lower price even though they are the same company!). I called to verify my 8-pass limo reservation after making it online. They said the driver would call me once he arrived. Since this was a surprise, I waited for the call but did not receive one. I ended up calling the 800 number to find out where the limo was and it turned out he was at the location but decided not to call! After we got into the limo, the driver quoted me another (higher) rate. I asked if this included gratuity, but he would not confirm. I had to call the 800 number again to find out what was going on. Basically he was trying to get an additional tip by not stating that the gratuity was included in the rate. Finally, on our special night, the driver was all up in our business since the cabin partition was defective. The limo itself was pretty old. All in all a horrible experience with this limo service. I highly recommend looking elsewhere!

I chose Tel-aviv Limo service which turned out to be Dial 7 limo for my engagement (tel-aviv quoted me a lower price even though they are the same company!). I called to verify my 8-pass limo reservation after making it online. They said the driver would call me once he arrived. Since this was a surprise, I waited for the call but did not receive one. I ended up calling the 800 number to find out where the limo was and it turned out he was at the location but decided not to call! After we got into the limo, the driver quoted me another (higher) rate. I asked if this included gratuity, but he would not confirm. I had to call the 800 number again to find out what was going on. Basically he was trying to get an additional tip by not stating that the gratuity was included in the rate. Finally, on our special night, the driver was all up in our business since the cabin partition was defective. The limo itself was pretty old. All in all a horrible experience with this limo service. I highly recommend looking elsewhere!

The customer service for this company is horrendous. the driver forgot to give me my credit card back and the car service wanted to charge me for another driver to take me to the office to get my credit card back. i called the office to make sure they had my cc as i was supposed to be stopping by to pick up my cc i was informed that the office was closed. when i asked what i was supposed to do, the person told me she didnt know and hung up on me. We told him that we were not going to pay his unreasonable waiting fee and if he didn't stop being so rude we would not tip him either. He just kept on with his rant. My daughter crossed out the waiting fee and left no tip on the charge slip and suggested he not be rude to women. We got out of the car and got our luggage out oursevles. On advice from Dial 7 I checked the Limousine ranks and then the airport foyer. On the fourth call 45 minutes after the first call I noticed the driver walking into the area that he claimed he had been all the time.\r
The level of help that I received when I telephoned Dial 7 was truncated and rude with each person claiming the car was at a location that it was not.\r
Finally we left the airport.\r
On the day that my wife and I were due to leave New York to travel to Niagara I pre checked with Dial7 to ensure that the car would be at the Times Square Hotel on time I was assured that it would be.\r

I cannot believe they advertise themselves as a professional limo service! I made a booking to have a sedan (and I did specify sedan) pick me up at JFK. After waiting outside with my bags for 40 mins and calling the amazingly unhelpful customer service twice, a tan coloured minivan covered in dents showed up, being driven by some distant cousin of Ali G. I told him I'd been waiting a long time and he gave me this incredulous look and shook his head. This guy was so rude- he was spitting out the window regularly, texting while driving at full speed, having loud phone conversations, sticking his head out the window and slowing down to ogle women on the street- I felt like I must be on some hidden camera show. The car was filthy, and the windows shook loudly. I am usually a very generous tipper, and never in my life have I tipped less than 15% at the very least, and that was for horrible service. But I had such a bad experience, I tipped this man $1.50, at which point he told me that I hadn't tipped him enough, and I told him why I was not going to tip him more, which seemed to come as a complete surprise to him. He stormed off all angry. I feel terrible not tipping, but I was so upset at that point. Please, do not use this car service. I waited in the cab line for 1/2 an hour the next time I came in, and took a cab in in crazy traffic, and the experience was a million times happier.

As a tourist, he had no understanding of the significant difference in the route and no reason to expect that this would mean a significant raise in the fee. He also did not realize that he would need to debate with the driver, assuming that, as the customer, his interests would be accomodated easily. She was not remotely receptive to my concern that my parents had been taken advantage of by her company. Additionally, she fought my efforts to speak with her supervisor or file a complaint.

I reserved a car for a 3:30 pickup on a recent Sunday afternoon, going to Newark airport. I thought this would be easier and less stressful than trying to flag down a taxi on a busy holiday shopping weekend. Turned out this was not the case. I was downstairs in front of my building at 3:30 promptly. At 3:35, I began to grow nervous. I called Tel-Aviv and they said the driver was stuck in traffic and it would be another 7 minutes. I waited outside in the event they came earlier, but to no avail. After 10 minutes had passed, I called back, and the woman said the driver was just crossing over 5th ave onto my block. I waited 4 light cycles, but still no car. I called a third time, at which point I said I was very concerned because I had already called twice and... I was hung up on! Now angry (and worried about being late), I called a 4th time. The calls really didn't matter. I finally did get a car at 4:00 (30 minutes late). I told the driver he was late, and insisted he was not. He told me he'd gotten the call to pick me up only 10 minutes ago, after his previous fare failed to show up. When I called to ask for a discount, given my 30 minutes of standing in the cold, I was told that they would give me $5 off a $51 fare. I was insulted! I asked to speak to a manager, but she was apparently busy with other customers. Ultimately, I had to run through the airport, cut the front of the security line, and wound up in my seat a sweaty and frustrated mess. Given my destination (the airport), didn't they think my reservation was time sensitive!?!? The women on the phone were not nice to me, the company obviously lost or just didn't care about my *reservation,* and they obviously had no remorse over thier atrocious service. I will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. In fact, I am investigating whether I can report them to any board or other agency.

I called them 4 hours ahead of time, before I boarded my plane. I was told that a car would be waiting for me at the airport. I arrived at JFK to no car. I called the dispatcher who then informed me that a car is not dispatched until I call from the airport. This resulted in a 45 minute wait. When the car finally arrives, he is on the far end of the passenger island, so I have to navigate through traffic and load my luggage in the road, while others honk for me to move out of the way. I was visibly upset and therefore short with my replies, at which point the driver then asked ""Are you alright? Why do you have an attitude problem?"" Something I did not need to hear after waiting for 45 minutes.\r

I called for a car to NoHo. The driver arrived and drove me to my destination, at which point he insisted for me not to put the tip on the credit card reciept and instead give him cash. I did not have enough cash, so I left the tip on the receipt at which point he becomes upset for legitimately recording my tip.\r

I called for a car at 10pm. My train arrived early an hour early, so I called the dispatcher to reschedule. She said I would receive a call back with my car number. I waited 30 minutes outside of the Pennsylvania Hotel, but not directly in front as drivers are usually harassed both by the doorman and NYPD. Next, I receive a call that my car is outside, yet I don't see him. He was parked behind another car on the other side of the hotel. After I get in, he begins to scream at me that I've made him look like a ""criminal"", because he was waiting for 25 minutes and at risk of getting a ticket. Forgive me for not reading your mind or having X-ray vision to know where you were hiding. It's apparently also my fault that you did not call me (or your dispatcher) the entire time.

The quality of service there was pretty good so I was suspicious of having to return to NYC and use a regular car service company. I was pleasantly surprised by Dial 7. I reserved a car from my hotel to Newark airport only 1 hour prior to needing to leave in the morning. The car was 5 minutes early and no problems with the driver or cleanliness of the car. It was not a late-model Lincoln Town Car but it was clean, smelled nice, and roomy older Town Car. No complaints at all. I'll use them again next time I'm in town.

They wanted us to keep the car the entire time which would have cost a fortune. Not only did they accommodate us at the last minute, they let us make several changes even up to the same day AND they are open 24 hours. The driver was on time, the limo was super nice and the drivers were courteous!

This was my worst experience EVER! These people were late to take me to JFK and the customer service was so RUDE!!!! I would never recommend that anyone use them. The driver was friendly but the people that work there SUCK! there are so many more options in the city, don't get duped!
