SEVEN, Seattle is promoted by Cher
by Anna C.
Cher at 7 has given me an awesome haircut that I love! People tell me everyday that they love my haircut and ask me who did it. Cher also gave me the shampoo and condition to try, along with the polish. The products are great. They smell fresh and leave my hair soft and healthy looking. I also am using the polish and it does not make my hair greasy at all, but gives me the style that I want. Thank you Cher for the great cut!

Loved it
by Connie M.
Wonderful! Received the best hair cut from Lewis. He suggested a style that would enhance my features, and it did! The cut is on the shorter side, simple but changeable. It allows me the option to have a different style each day. Love it!

Worth the Cost - Men's Cut
by Matt K.
After visiting several salons in the area, including multiple Gene Juarez locations and Seven in Bellevue, I called and asked for an appointment with a senior stylist at Seven in Downtown Seattle. Although the $80 quoted me was more than I had paid for a men's cut, I decided to try it. I arrived and was greeted at the door, given a robe and offered a coffee (great mocha!) and met my new stylist, Cher. I have seen the other reviews on here and have to agree 100% with the positive ravings! She is absolutely the best stylist to ever cut my hair and an incredible person on top of that! Cher made me feel right at home and did an incredible job with my mess of a haircut that I had previously received. She also makes the haircut last with a neck trim in between cuts...instead of paying $40 a month for a cheap haircut, I pay $80 every 2 months for an amazing cut. I highly recommend the downtown Seven for the experience (great service, people and music) and absolutely ador and recommend Cher to anyone!!!

Cher is amazing!!!
by Julie P.
After reading several reviews (several hundred actually), I decided to visit the 7 Salon in Seattle. I live in Bellevue, and had a consultation at the 7 Salon (Bellevue Square) about a year ago. But after the stylist told me I needed to have about 4 inches cut off my hair and forgo my 'security bangs,' I decided to go somewhere else. After several failed attempts to get the style I wanted, I decided to give 7 another try. When I called the Seattle Salon I asked the receptionist to recommend someone who had cut hair in the 80's and knew how to do a "Farah Fawcett" cut. She recommended Cher. I nervously made the appointment for that day. The first thing I noticed about the salon was the beautiful entry way of a large sculpture and a cool waterfall. I was offered a black silk robe and a latte. Since I don't drink coffee I opted for a bottled water. They also brought me a chocolate (nice touch). While waiting, I noticed a very striking woman with short (very short) blonde hair. She was doing a (very) short cut on another woman. There was something about her that I found intriguing. So, when she approached me as her next client I got a little nervous (short hair does short hair... but how is she with long hair??). She introduced herself as Cher and was very pleasant putting me at ease (in spite of my obvious nervousness). After talking with her and explaining what I wanted (the "Vidal Sasoon Farah Fawcett layered cut" so I'm told), she started cutting. I nervously tried to have a conversation, but felt in somewhat of a surreal state. She was fun to talk to, but always brought the conversation back to my hair (which I appreciated). Well, I could go on and on, so to make a long story short, I ended up with the BEST haircut I've ever had. It's still long, but layered just beautifully to frame my face. I can wear it long and sexy, or scrunch it up to wear it curly. It's exactly what I wanted.I would highly recommend Cher. She really listens and has an incredible eye for detail. I think I paid $85, but it was well worth it. Thank you so much, Cher!!! I love my haircut. I'll be back.

Fantastic place for color and cut
by Ryliss
I have been going to Tony for 6 years now and I no longer spend time wondering what will make my hair look better. Strangers walk up to me to compliment me on my hair. I leave all my hair decisions up to Tony, one of 7's top stylists. That is what he is trained to do; cut for the shape on my bone structure and body and color for my skin tone and eye color.
I plan to use Tony as our head hair stylist in the Bates Technical College fashion show at the Sewing & Stitchery 2010 show.
Pros: Cut and color to make YOU look your best
Cons: None

Krystal is a miracle worker!
by SueKTB
After months of trying to find the perfect hair connection, I found Krystal at Seven, Seattle. LOVE HER! Already referred 3 new clients....almost afraid I won't be able to get appointments with her now, but she's so incredible everyone needs to know. She listens, has a great 'eye' and truly wants YOU to be your best.

Cher is Amazing!
by Acairns1
Cher at 7 gave me an amazing haircut that I am complimented on everyday. She was able to give me a cut that brought out my best features. She did my hair very artistically and I love it! I would highly recommend Cher! She also gave me the 7 products and they work great for me. The clean, fresh scent of the shampoo, along with the non-greasy polish keep my hair healthy and looking fabulous. Thank you Cher!
Pros: Amazing Haircut

Lots of extras, pretty good service
by Corrine85
This place has a hip, trendy atmosphere. There is a DJ, loud music, and a barista that makes great lattes. The magazines are all high-fashion (think famous designers, catwalk shows), with no US Weekly or Cosmo in sight. It's fun but not especially cozy.
However, I care more about quality of service. I saw Tonya for a partial foil and cut. She did a good job on the color, but my hair turned out more yellow than the ashy blonde I usually get. But that's my fault for not telling her. I guess I thought she knew because my hair was a light ashy blonde when I walked in. It still looks very good though. She said I'd need to come in again for a toner rinse to get that light color again.
The cut was nothing special. It probably only took her 10 minutes. I just asked for a trim and a little more shape. But really, even I can't see a difference. It was a little disappointing, but I guess it was just a "trim." I'd give Tonya a 3.5 overall.
The price was about what I usually pay. The total came to $165, plus I added a $30 tip. Pricey but expected.
My only issue with Tonya was that she was pretty pushy. She was really pressing me to buy the Hair Mask and shampoo/conditioner. She started lecturing me after I admitted to using the Neutrogena intensive hair mask. Anyway, I got suckered into buying the hair mask and don't think it's as good as my usual Neutrogena stuff.
Tonya was also pushy about getting me to come in every 6 weeks for color as opposed to my usual 3 months. I thought this was weird because even she said nobody would notice my natually blonde roots growing out. Nobody even knows I get highlights because my hair is so light naturally.
I suspect that anyone that gives this place 5 stars is swayed by the atmosphere and is probably not very discerning about the quality of service. I think 4 stars is generous.
Pros: Very good lattes, silky robes, cool music, trendy people
Cons: Pretentious greeters

Best Stylist in Seattle
by kas5292
Lindsay first cut my hair about 5 years ago. I recently moved back to seattle and I was in luck because she still works at Seven (even though they moved locations). I was thrilled!
Got my hair cut yesterday - the space is a little intense, but Lindsay remembered me, and remembered my hair (even though it was completely different from when she cut it before). She evaluated my face, hair texture, etc and got to work.
I left Seven feeling fabulous. I am loving my new, short hair cut - and I'm glad Seven is such a great place to work, that I was able to find Lindsay still working there!
My hair is thick and fairly course. It also has natural curl. It's hard to get a short hair cut that is complimenting to my face...but Lindsay does it. I'm digging my new hair - thanks Lindsay!!
Pros: friendly, knowledgable, personable

I LOVE SEVEN!!!!
by kolekev
I recieved a free cut card in the mail at my job, at first i was really scared but my co-worker said it's amazing and i should try it out. Well, i am not a huge creature of change but i went in and was amazed at the space. It's modern, beautiful, and a little overwhelming at first. But the people there make you feel at home. I met my stylist (Jennifer) and she took me back to here area, i expressed my worries and she gave me the best consultation i have ever experienced! We even talked about my bone structure i was easily impressed. long story short i got the best haircut i have ever had and am now on the other side sending people to seven every chance i get:) Thanks Jennifer :)

LOVE 7: Rick, Nhi & Trihn!
by EShute
I have been to Seven multiple times now. I've seen both Trihn and Nhi, both are excellent hair stylists. I had my color done by Nhi and went a month or two without getting it redone, yet I am STILL getting compliments on my color. It doesn't look grown out at all it just blends with my natural color. My mom also went and saw Rick who is AMAZING! He cut and curled her hair made it look SO beautiful. We love the salon and amosphere. And as for the "lighting issues" there is a light above every chair I was able to see perfectly. There's always a latte and robe waiting, yummy chocolates and I've never had a pushy sales woman pushing the products. Best Salon Ever!
Pros: Best COLOR/Cuts, friendly staff, lattes, DJ
Cons: NOTHING!

Fantastic Color and Cut keeps me coming back
by Cathyg
I had been going to the same hair dresser for over 20 years and for the most part had been happy. When my hairdresser moved away I was in a panic! I heard about Seven and even though I was terrified to have someone else cut and color my hair, I crossed my fingers and took the plunge.
That was over 6 months ago and I haven't looked back. My new stylist is Krystal; after being so stuck in the same hair style for several years, I asked her to suggest something a little fresher, younger and more professional. I was thrilled with the results and have been going back ever since.
People are constantly complimenting me on my hair and ask where I get it done. I've never hesitated recommending Krystal and Seven to them - those that have made an appointment with her have been thrilled with the results and keep rebooking.
Three people that I work with now have Krystal do their hair and each style is unique; no cookie cutter hairstyles to be had at Seven! Each cut is designed to complement your bone structure and hair type... each color is determined to complement your skin tone.
I would recommend Krystal to anyone looking for a fantastic hair cut and color. She is indeed the color queen!
Pros: Quality hair professional, quality products, quality salon
Cons: None

Most AMAZING experience I have ever had!
by Arriba
From the moment I called to make my appointment to the moment I stepped out the door I felt like a rock star! I have very difficult hair that is a toss between curly and straight. I am never happy with my hair and have never blamed the stylist in the past that have cut it. I know it is not easy since I have a hard time with it .(and I have had it on my head for me to try and master my whole life!)Thankfully a few friends of mine sent me to Seven. I was nervous but willing.
I was so excited after calling to make my appointment and being helped so graciously by Douglas. He took the time to listen to me and let me ask questions.
All I can say is I am more than happy! The stylist he set me up with gave me her oppinion and I decided to put my hair in her hands. She not only gave me a perfect hair cut for me, she taught me HOW to style my hair.
I am greatful for the amount of care they gave me and I am excited to say good bye to hideous hair days.
I have found my salon for life!!! I think I will try color next:)
Pros: Helpful staff, great vibe, custom hair cut!
Cons: Could not find one!

Seven Salon
by AnnaSpector
The ambiance:
Seven Salon is by far one of the hippest looking salons I have been to in Seattle. There is a DJ spinning records, but the music isn't too loud. It is a very exciting salon with a modern edge.
The Stylist:
I have been growing my hair out and keeping the length was very important. Krystal was excellent at only taking off a few inches. My hair looks much healthier now and I can still put it up in a ponytail, or bun.
Customer Service:
I didn't have an appointment, but within minutes I was sitting with a stylist. From the moment I walked in, I was offered refreshments and made to feel at ease.
They also sent me home with complimentary conditioner and shampoo.
Pros: Ample Parking in Pacific Place

I Desire Desiree
by ladymacbeth
I love this place and I love Desiree, the stylist and foiler-extraordinaire!!!! She was very down-to-earth and just seemed excited to make me look beautiful! I have never gotten so many compliments on my color. It's always, "oh, you got your hair done...", not "WHO DOES YOUR HAIR?!?! IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!" Well, I tell them and I will tell the world, it's Desiree at 7 Salon in Seattle. Make sure to book ahead, because she tends to get booked when you really need a full on color/foil service, but it is totally worth the effort and every last penny. She looked at my eye color, my skin tone, every last frecke...AH! PLUS, she never insists on chopping it all off like most people do. She gives me a great cut and color and keeps me looking like myself. You are in great hands if you go see Desiree!!! LOVE!!!
Pros: skill, personality, service

Cher - Great Cut!
by NonsequitorInSEA
The eye and skill of a sculptor, the attention to detail of the OCD afflicted (in a good way), and the witty banter of a 30's comedy with a 2009 edge all combined to the most enjoyable and best cut I've had in years, possibly ever.
Seriously, I've had more compliments on this cut than any I can remember.
She even fielded my random queries about things in her field. A great cut, conversation and info I didn't have when I walked in, what's not to love.
Highly recommend her.

Maria is horrible!
by newtoseattle2600
I went to Seven after reading all the rave reviews on the internet. I booked an appointment with Maria who I was told was very good. I arrived at the salon and it seemed very fancy. They had a latte service and robes you could change into. That is about as good as the experience gets. The DJ they have playing is so loud that you have to scream in order to hear your stylist. I met with Maria and we discussed what we were going to do with my hair. She washed and cut my hair and then rushed me out the door. She wouldn't even let me see what the back of my hair looked like! Once I got home, I saw how choppy and uneven she cut my hair. There were parts of my hair that she didn't even cut!! I did not pay $70 to have part of my hair cut. When I went back to complain to the salon, even they admitted that this was a horrible haircut. I went to two different hairstylist to try and fix my hair and it has yet to be fully fixed. I do not recommend this salon whatsoever. It is one thing to get a bad haircut and it is completely different to not have parts of your hair cut at all and have it at different lengths. Stay away from Seven and definitely stay away from Maria!
Pros: None
Cons: horrible haircut, expensive, loud music

Experienced and Caring Stylist-Sung
by Monshak
My hair was in a very bad shape from a previous cut. It was uneven and had no style. Sung quickly noticed what needed to be done and even consulted me on the spring colors for my highlights. He worked on my hair for three hours and I can say that he is equally great in color and cut. Now, my hair is has style, has amazing highlights and looks great. Sung definately made me more stylish. I would definately recommend him to everyone who wants a great hair from a caring and innovative stylist. Go see Sung at Seven Salon. You will not regret it.
Pros: Great color, great cut, efficient, got exactly what I wanted
Cons: None

Poor experience with Lorenzo
by Citysister
I had a terrible experience with Lorenzo and have never gone back. I wanted to go back to a more natural color blonde and he painted the back of my hair with one color that turned my hair a muddy gold color - I was so embarrassed - I looked like a two tone skunk. I will never go back to this Salon and tell everyone that is looking for a recommendation not to go there.
Pros: ???
Cons: Overpriced, Pretencious, Bad Color!!

as far as the quality of their cuts... it's legit! too legit to quit! i was satisfied (my fam lives in seattle so i go up once in a while)

Love Love Love!
by BellaElla
I have always been a Nervous Nancy when it comes to getting my hair done. When it came time to go blonde for a show I was acting in, I was nervous and hesitant, but I had no choice - the show must go on. Desiree was just starting out as a stylist but right away she put my nerves at ease. When I was done I was amazed. My color was so natural looking - not chunky or orange like other stylists have done. Now, I go to Desiree for my cut and color every time. She keeps me looking good and best of all - she keeps me looking like me! I can't wait until I have to change my look again - I completely trust her to do a great job!
I highly recommend any actor in town to seek out Desiree if you are getting new headshots. It is definitely worth it.
Pros: Desiree
Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Brunettes Beware!!!
by mizpoppy
This place is so dark inside it was hard to see my dark brown hair during my haircut. The cut ended up being uneven and disjointed -- probably more of a reflection on the lack of light than my stylist's skill. If you have dark hair avoid this place!

CHER made me so HAPPY! I LOVE what she did with MY HAIR!!
by hornbilllove
I got a free haircut coupon at Nordstrom for Salon Seven in Seattle and went to get my hair done two weeks ago. CHER was my stylist and I immediately liked her wonderful personality and way with words.
She interviews you and really wants to understand how you feel about your hair, what you want, she's delightful and has a sparkling personality.
She cut my hair and I just felt SO HAPPY when it was blown dry. I needed my hair color done in a week and, when she walked me to the reception desk, I booked my next appointment right then and there.
Today, I went in for my color appointment. CHER suggested a sable brown color (my hair was brown and highlighted with warm golden blondes); she said she'd mix some color especially for her "vision for [me]" and had some suggestions about how I could reshape my hair and better-frame my face. I trusted her and told her to "go for it".
Both my color and my cut look FANTASTIC!!
After my appointment, I went down to the Four Seasons Art Bar to meet some friends for a drink. They went WILD when I walked in!! They said, "WOW, your hair looks SO GORGEOUS!!" I felt like two million bucks!! I was beaming from ear-to-ear.
I feel so good and happy. I am definitely going back to CHER. She is a wonderful person and a truly vivacious and switched-on hair stylist. I was perfectly happy with the stylists I had at my other salon but I've decided to go back to CHER from now on...
p.s. That was a really smart idea to offer free haircut coupons when you make a purchase of over $150 at Nordstrom; this never would have happened if it weren't for that. And, the interiors, people and art at Seven are such eye candy. FUN!! (Not to mention the HOT music and coffee bar!)
Thank you, CHER!!
Pros: Ambiance, Professional Service, Convenient Location & Parking, FUN!!
Cons: None

Cher at Seattle's Sevens Knows Curly Hair
by RealistInWA
Cher knows how to cut and style curly hair. Really! Indeed, she also asks and asks questions, before cutting, so there are no misunderstandings: the first stylist I've ever found to do this. (She used to be the one on stage teaching hundreds of others coast-to-coast how to do the cuts.) My previous stylist died (may God bless him), and I truly dreaded starting the search again for someone who knows the ins and outs of curly hair. Luckily, my Web search pointed me to Cher.
Pros: Knows curly hair
Cons: Price, Parking

Cher is the best stylist - especially for long hair!
by looloo1
The 7 Salon in Seattle is definately first class all the way. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accomodating. The atmosphere is urban cool. They even have a dj! While you're waiting they give you espresso coffee and a chocolate. I know some reviews say the music is loud, but I didn't think so.
My stylist Cher was phenominal. She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. The cut turned out even better than the picture I brought in. Now it's vibrant and healthy. She even showed me two ways to style it. Cher is technically exacting, exceptionally experienced has a fabulous, upbeat personality. I liked the cut so much that I scheduled a color appointment with her for the next day.
The color Cher did for me the next day was a luminous dark brown demi-perminant color with a teak color panel in the front. (My natural color is brown with some grey). The color left my hair conditioned and shiny. The teak panel was very subtle but blended really nicely with the brown. I don't know what color product they use at 7 but it's been almost a month since Cher colored it and it's staying like a permanent color. It hasn't even faded. I highly suggest if you color your hair to give Cher and 7 a try.
Along with the cut and color I bought two of 7's hair products, Seal and Putty. Again, first class. Their products actually do what they advertise. Plus they smell good and leave my hair silky soft.
I am 40 years old and I swear when Cher finished with me I looked 10 years younger. I am not exaggerating when I say that Cher is the best stylist I've ever been to. Since my cut and color I've received many compliments at work and have recommended Cher to all my friends. Her current price for a hair cut is $85. That may seem pricey to some, and I'm usually frugal myself, but let me tell you, Cher is worth every penny. If you're in the market for a good stylist, go see Cher at 7 Salon in Seattle. You won't be disappointed!
Pros: Cher of course! Professional, courteous staff. Beautiful, creative atmosphere.
Cons: The salon doesn't validate parking. The mall's shaftacular parking prices.

Mama Mia!
by LUVmuffinMegs
Before my trip to Seven, I did not have great things to say about my hair. I'd never really found a connection to any hairdresser and, to be honest, had never felt great about any previous cuts. That has all changed! Looking through the new Seattle Magazine spread on the best affordable stylists in Seattle, I came across Mia at Seven, named one of Seattle's best stylists. She was quoted as saying her expertise is in "natural, flirty hair" and working "with your hair texture rather than against it". I suddenly realized the root of my lifelong hair problems, trying to make it do something it wasn't meant to do! I did some research on the salon and was impressed to learn that Seven does cuts designed for each client's bone structure, hair texture, and face shape. I had to give it a try! When I called for an appointment, I found out that Mia was booked out for a little while in advance, but the helpful and patient receptionist worked with me to find a time that would work with my schedule.
The big day... I was so so impressed with the beautiful, rock-and-roll meets Zen-artistry layout of the salon! The whole thing was surreal, live DJ, free (delicious!) lattes, and then... Mia. Her natural confidence was refreshing and she LISTENED to my concerns before offering her expert advice. We came to an agreement, to play up the natural wave and curl to my hair and to add subtle layering to give my look a much-needed, youthful update. One hour later, I walked out, if not a new woman, at least more confident and a whole lot sexier. I've finally found my hair connection!
Mia is skilled, charismatic, natural, and genuine. The previous review is a misrepresentation of such a fantastic stylist. Mia's talent is in seeing the potential in your hair and bringing out the best in your appearance. I heartily agree with Seattle Magazine, Mia is the real deal! Mama Mia!

I love my hair, my new stylist, and my new salon of choice...
by diamonddaze
I couldn't be more impressed with this new 7 salon in Pacific Place. The space alone is impressive enough; totally fresh and so above and beyond all the other "high end" salons out there. As far as I can tell, this salon has all the goods to back up the claim "high end". The first things you'll notice are the decor and music and sleekness of it all. It's impressive and maybe not for everyone...? hence all the reviews I've read about the "loud music", etc. I found it to be invigorating. But, let's get on to the HAIR!!! (the true test...it can't just be cool looking, right?) My stylist (for life) is Desiree. She is extremely talented and a joy to talk to. She talked to me AND listened to me. She explained my face shape and skin tone and why we should do what we should do. I feel beautiful. She made me feel beautiful before she even started applying my foils. I've never had anyone explain my "face shape", etc. in a way that didn't, on some level, insult me. She didn't! She was amazing and I recieved a beautifully written and sincere "thank you" card from her, which said how much of a joy I am! ha! She is the real joy. And 7 salon is truly my new favorite place to get pampered!
Pros: expertise, decor, atmosphere, amazing product line
Cons: hhhmmm...none to be named

WORST haircut in my ENTIRE LIFE!!! WIll never step foot in this salon again :(
by vicky3131
I got a coupon from nordstrom to try out the salon SEVEN at pacific place. So I decided to give it a try and went in for a consultation the day before and told the stylist (Mia) exactly what I wanted, along with the fact that I am very picky and sensitive about my hair and will be very upset if it got ruined. All I wanted was a trim off the bottom of a half an inch, and to bring up my long layers just a little bit. Going in the next day, I told her again what I wanted. Apparently she did not listen to anything I asked, bc she took off at least 2-3 inches off the bottom and brought my layers up 5-6inches!! Not to mention that I have incredibly fine hair, so now the bottom of my hair looks scraggly and not attractive at all. I went to my regular hairstylist at gene juarez and she was appalled at the lack of inexperience in Mia. Everything is totally uneven, looks like I went in my self and just chopped it off. There is nothing I can really do but go back to GJ and have my regular stylist take off about 5 inches in order to even it out. It is the WORST haircut I have ever received in my ENTIRE life, and am completely devastated as I needed my hair long for a function that I have in 3 weeks. I really would reccomend to NEVER go to this salon, and especially to not see MIA. She was very nice....but is not experienced at all and needs a lot more practice on cutting layers and listening to what her client wants. Incredibly disappointing.

Masumi is amazing
by cpuandnotu
I have never had a better haircut in my life. Masumi knows how to make me look good. She is fast, conversation is always fun, and I get coffee and a chocolate! I think she is awesome.
At first glance, SEVEN is a bit overwhelming, and a little intimidating. A slew of front desk people, loud dance mix music from the DJ, coffee bar. Masumi makes up for it with being genuine, and making me feel comfortable. I'm glad I found her.
Pros: free coffee, great haircuts, Masumi
Cons: the horrible DJs

Cher is an amazing stylist!!!
by annisaj
I moved here from Chicago three years ago and was quite disenchanted with the salon scene in Seattle. I have tried every major salon in the downtown area with dismal results. However, Seven was highly recommended and Cher did a GREAT job with my long hair. Previously, I had usually ended up with a cookie cutter cut with either bland layers or layers that were too stark leaving me with a quasi mullet. Cher, on the other hand, knew exactly how to cut my hair with layers that were defined and definitely stylish. I would highly recommend having your hair styled by Cher!
Pros: Beautiful Salon, Helpful and Couteous Staff, Great DJ!
Cons: None!

Cher is a miracle for curly hair
by dandelion1212
I moved to Seattle about a year ago, and the scariest thing about moving across the country was having to find a new hair dresser that knows how to cut my curly hair. A co-worker recommended Gene Juarez, so I tried it three different times and was extremely disappointed each time - they kept me waiting forever, and gave me very boring haircuts that didn't involve any thought - just a generic haircut they give to everyone. Finally, another co-worker recommended Seven. I ended up with Cher, and couldn't be happier! Cher is truly a miracle for my curly hair - she is awesome! She took the time to listen to what I wanted, then amazed me with the best cut I have ever had. For the first time ever, I truly love my hair thanks to Cher! She is a friendly, fun, warm, wonderful person and will make you look and feel beautiful! PS - She does awesome color too!
Pros: Guaranteed fantastic haircut, great lattes, and a DJ
Cons: Can be a little costly if you add up cut, color, and products, but worth every penny!

Best Color Correction and Haircut EVER!!!
by Darbylee
Let me just say that I love Cher and she made me beautiful for my wedding!
I had my hair done at another salon in Seattle and let's just say that my hair came out looking like something from the Simpsons cartoon. It was supposed to be blonde; however it came out looking more like Lisa Simpson's hair rather than Jessica Simpson.
She did the most amazing color correction. I have colored my hair for as long as I can remember and this is the best color I have ever had. I told her she could just put color on it and make me brunette, but she was up for the challenge and saved my blonde hair. There was some damage from the correction, but that was a blessing in disguise as she gave me the cutest short haircut. A little edgy meets a little sweet and all me in between. Did I mention that this all happened two weeks before my wedding? As if that stress wasn't enough...Without Cher's expertise I would have cried every time I saw my photos of my yellow Lisa Simpson hair. Now I get more compliments than I know what to do with. Trust me, Cher will not disappoint!!!
Pros: Ambience, Skill, People, Everything
Cons: Pay parking in Pacific Place lot

Cher - Simply Amazing, very talented - Clone this Women!
by Mwaye
Cher at Seven in Pacific Place - really is amazing and talented. I read the reviews prior to my first time adventure to the salon, nervous as I have been to almost every progressive sophisticated salons in Seattle and Bellevue during my big hair days in the 80's and current. Not all turned out great, over rated and most really lacked true talent and knowledge. But Cher was exceptional! I asked her for a classy look with a bit of an edge~ BTW she had to accomplish this with an already bad color job and style that I was sporting around - I was just hoping for a correction and then I would pursue further correction until I got back my style. Well she did it all - It looks amazing, color, trim, highlights everything is exceptional. One other important thing I liked about Cher was she kept me informed each step with what she was doing, her application and what she was trying to achieve. I felt part of the process and not treated like just another client sitting in a salon chair.
For the Salon, very well executed, thought-out and the staff very tentative. Great job - One suggestion, you have a private label product line; sell it to your customers!
Pros: Great Value - Exceptional knowledge and expertise

Thanks Seven!
by mathennessy
I have been going to Seven from the beginning, all the way back to when Roger opened the doors. I have had quite a few different stylist cut my hair from Seven but none that did as good of a job as Tony. I have been coming to him for a little over two years now and I have never left his chair feeling over charged. His sense of style and expertise in the newest trends is second to none. I will never have my hair cut by anyone else, in fact I have invited him to be the stylist for my wedding next August.
Pros: attention to detail, attractive staff, posh decor, great beats.
Cons: Mall parking

Talented stylist at Seven
by tcmmodel206
When I come to see Tony at Seven I am always treated like a V.I.P., so when I saw that someone did not recommend Tony as a stylist I was blown away!! I always have a great experience with him. I am a fashion model here in Seattle and I can not just go to anyone who knows how to hold a pair of scissors. I must have a great cut all the time. I have seen him for two years and a runway worthy cut is what I get every time. I recommend him to all my friends and everyone reading this on City Search. I even take my Fiance to see him...He's that good! So please ignore the negative reviews on this page. Seven salon is the best place you could go for your hair and Tony is the most brilliant stylist I have ever had.
Pros: They have their own Barista and D.J.
Cons: Some people there are not so sweet.

Best Stylist
by MissShoes
A girl friend of mine referred me to Seven salon, and I had my best experience ever with Tony. He is amazing and has an eye for hair. Not to mention a pure sweetheart to work with. He transformed my dull and outdated hair to beautiful and head turning hair. I absolutely trust him with my hair and would highly recommend going to him because he knows what he is doing and knows what you like. I'm a hooked!
Pros: Ambience and Staff
Cons: NONE

Worst Hair Stylist Ever
by SuzyQ10
I was told to go to Seven by a friend, on the day of my appointment I saw Tony. Total disaster I cannot believe they can charge that kind of money for a totally incompentent hair stylist. I would never go back again and especially not recommend Tony.

Will make you feel fabulous even in-between cuts/colors
by tmartillo
I moved into the city from college and needed to find a more convenient salon. I figured I would go higher end because I am kind of particular about my hair. I have gone through two stylists at Seven, the first one I liked but her rates went way up and she had no personality. Then I found Cassandra (granted this was a little while ago). Her cuts and color last so well that when it takes me a while (say two to three months) to get back to her, I consistently get asked, "Did you just get your hair cut?" "Where do you go?" Quite honestly if someone is asking me where I got my hair cut in between cuts, you know it was a job well done. I feel appreciated everytime I go in there by her, and I love the new Pacific Place location. It's beautiful.
Pros: fantastic service, consistent cuts, stylists that know how to make dramatic changes
Cons: crappy DJ's (70s music remixed with modern tunes=not ok), robot receptionists, inconsistent hospitality service, sometimes I get offered a coffee and chocolate, sometimes I don't.

They saved my hair!!!!
by stilettomonger
Okay, so, I went to a nameless salon and got my hair kind of butchered. It wasn't pretty. I felt unlike myself and it was so much shorter than I am used, I basically felt like crying. Even my boyfriend asked what was up! I came to Seven, not knowing who to see and they booked me with Desiree. I felt at ease as soon as I met her. She was relaxed and friendly. And, I couldn't believe what she could manage to do with what was left of my hair! She gave it a good cut, but more importantly, she styled it in a way and talked to me in a way that made me totally love it! She basically said, well, it's gonna have to grow a little cuz it was cut very short...BUT, in the meantime, have fun with it! And I do! I get so, so many compliments now. If you want a good short cut, a great salon environment, or need help fixing something (haha), come to Desiree at Seven Salon. Oh, and some people mentioned the loud music, and actually it got slightly loud at one point, but it was fixed immediately.
Pros: Relaxed stylists and atmosphere

Cher rocks!
by kmsather
Cher gave me a style straight off the runway - i love it :)
she is attentive, thoughtful and patient - which was great for me, since I'm indecisive.
And she's fun to talk to while you're getting your hair cut.

Pretentious Salon:( w/ A lot of talent:)
by Luv2sing
So I have been to Seven a few times to get my haircut. I started with a $65 haircut and did not intend on going any higher from there. My first haircut was mediocre, I decided that there must be a reason for a stylist to be 65, or 100. I chatted with a couple of the receptionists and we came to the conclusion that Michael would be my next stylist. I was fully informed that the price increase to $100 dollars was well worth it. From the moment I sat in the chair it was like I was never meant to be in anyone else's chair for the rest of my life. he didnt go for super edgy and modern, he went for beautiful and elegant. I have NEVER in my life had such a wonderful haircut. Michael is mine!
I suppose the reason to go to a salon is for the haircut but Seven has a lot more to offer, and unfortunately I cant say that it was all as wonderful. I found the receptionists to be like robots with lack of emotion, all but one young man that I prefer to deal with whenever Im in. So when your paying after your haircut look for the handsome guy, its a great end to your visit. Free coffee, okay Djs, once you get passed the show in the front it will all be worth it.
ENJOY!!!
Pros: Michael
Cons: Robot Receptionists

Worst place for short haircuts
by bluegreenwater
I decided to try 7 and donate my hair for locks of love. I ended up with a very uneven cut with a funny upsidedown u shape in the back--even this was shorter on the right than the left. I was left with a chunky ridge in the back and asked if I could try another stylist to even it out. The next stylist straightened it up a bit, but left if shorter on the right this time and had to take another inch or so off because she agreed that the first stylist hadn't created a cut that was even or manageable for my hair type. I was left with a much shorter cut than I orginally requested and it is still uneven and hard to manage. I do not recommend this place anyone wanting a short haircut.

Quality and Convenience offset the price
by grammaticalrappers
Holli gave me a flattering haircut, with easy-to-reproduce-at-home style; even my mom admired the way my hair now falls in the back. And, as a career gal, the Sunday hours are convenient. Two quibbles: the amount of products they push (seven!) and the spendiness -- after all, I know some of my money is going toward the unnecessary robes, lattes, DJs, etc.
Pros: quality and convenience
Cons: the price, the loud music, the product pushing

Best Salon Experience I've Ever Had
by ttalley
I LOVED this place. I came in after seeing a coworker's amazing cut & color, and I chose Cher after reading the City Search reviews. She definitely didn't disappoint! I told her she could dye my hair whatever color she wanted, and she was excited about that and thought that coppery red would complement my skin tone best, so we went for it. I haven't been a red head in a long time and was worried that it was going to be kind of unnatural and drastic, but she was completely right, and it came out looking incredible. She was also extremely friendly and made you feel like you were gorgeous both before and after she did your hair. That's something not many hair dressers tend to do.
Since red is a complex color and I had previously dyed hair which is always tricky, she spent extra time perfecting the tone and had an assistant wash out a toner. The assistant (I'm so bad with names, I'm sorry) was also super nice and complimentary, too, and she also made me feel great about what Cher had done. The same goes for the woman who rang up my purchases, for that matter! Everyone was so sweet and fun to talk to, I can't imagine going to another salon now. I love my hair and the place itself was really great to hang out in with fancy magazines and lattes and chocolate and DJ music.
Pros: Cher, friendly and attentive staff
Cons: Nothing

Beth took me from boring brown to bombshell blonde!!
by francesca316
I was looking for a color change and a new salon, so after reading the reviews here on Seven Salon, I decided to see Beth at the Seattle salon. What a wonderful experience! Her enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism made it fun and she chose a shade of blonde that matched my skin tone perfectly. She really knows her stuff. The staff definitely has a team spirit, from the the woman who offered me a gown and a fancy chocolate at the start of my appointment to the checkout staff when I was done. I will definitely be back. Kudos to the managment at Seven for creating such a professional, customer-oriented team of people. Beth was right--I DO turn heads now when I walk down the street...
Pros: definitely customer-focused, team approach, friendly
Cons: none

Best haircut and color personalized just for you.
by SewingInstructor
I am very proud to be a long standing client at Seven. I make the drive from Gig Harbor because the results are worth it.
For 6 years Tony has cut, colored and styled my hair fantastically. This has been the best 6 years of my hair life. I get compliments from strangers and people in the sewing and fashion business about the cut and color of my hair. I often teach or lecture to groups of 10-200 people and no longer fuss or waste time thinking about how my hair should look or change. I know that Tony has made those decisions for me with incredible skill. He has cut my hair to highlight my bone structure and colored my hair to enhance my skintone. People often think I am younger than my actual age. He is professional yet warm and funny, and very proud to work for a salon that is on the cutting edge.
Seven is driven to keep the best stylists and provide in-house training utilizing the best intructors in the business. Rodger, the owner, has developed his own Seven line of hair products that smell and work wonderfully.
I plan to continue to encourage friends to try Seven, get a free consultation and the best "do" of your life.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Too far from my hometown

Very nice Salon and the Perfect trip to Seattle
by bahabel
This was a great trip to a salon, not only because of the salon itself, but because of everything else downtown. So, I live in the 'burbs and I thought I would splurge and go to swanky "Seven" and ended up having the best overall experience I've ever had on a visit to Seattle.
Whether you live in Seattle or just sort of close by, you can do so much in this area. In Pacific Place, there is a Victoria's Secret, a movie theatre and a Nordstrom...well, everything. And "Seven" is beautiful with attentive stylists and staff. I got the most natural looking foil/color and the most flattering haircut. It seemed effortless, but everyone I have ever seen has struggled immensely. My only regret is I can NOT remember her name. It wouldn't help to say she's stylish and pretty, cause they ALL are. I lost her card, but I will FIND OUT!!!! I then went to all the nearby shops and all and I got COMPLEMENTS!!!! Book at Seven and then walk around and get whistles!!!
Pros: Just wonderful!
Cons: CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME!!!! (my own fault; I'm horrible @ names)

Very impressed!
by silverdollar6
I stumbled in for the simplest thing in the world: a "FRINGE" TRIM! That's right; I have yet to get my hair cut at this salon. I will be sure to follow up when I have gotten the whole experience. But, I was so impressed that I had to write immediately.
Even if you do not end up getting a cut, everyone should be impressed with the beautiful space, the wonderful customer service AND, above all, the amazing talent that comes from the stylists there.
I came in for a fringe trim, and I left with the new knowledge that I have a rectangular face shape (finally an answer to that pesky question that is virtually unanswerable), my lower eye is my Right eye, I should cut a few inches off my long hair to lessen the length of my face and that my skin tone would be complimented with warmer highlights or a richer brown color.
I got all this information, great bangs, a free latte, and listened to some really wonderful music. I give it 5 stars just for that! And, frankly, I am thinking my rating will only go up once I have experienced a full on service with them.
(I'll let you know! :))
Pros: EVERYTHING I CAME ACROSS WAS AMAZING!
Cons: None yet *wink*wink*
