Excellent Spa for Facials

by nyc_girl

I spent a lot of time researching top spas in LA since moving here from NYC last year and had very high standards. I came in for a microderm facial with Lila and had perhaps the best results from a facial I have ever had (and that's saying something, b/c I frequented top spas for years in NY). She was incredibly warm and very knowledgeable about products, my skin and the advice she gave. Even more impressive was the fact she even recommended products and supplements not sold at the salon - the true test of a genuine and educated esthetician. Not only that, her recommendations were spot on - my skin improved significantly after using the products she recommended.

The facial itself was pretty standard (and a bit pricey), but she pushed my skin a bit w/ the microderm portion and the results were better than I've had. I felt she truly knew what my skin could and could not handle. The only thing that surprised me is that the microderm came after the facial/cleansing portion - it is usually done first in my experience to maximize results so the treatments on the skin are not ground off by microderm process. In any event, my skin looked better than it has in months and as I mentioned, the products she recommended made an ever bigger difference on my skin. She herself commented on the improvement the second time I went back for another facial - the anti-oxidants made a noticeable improvement. I will be back again!

Pros: Skilled estheticians, friendly & knowledgeable front desk

Cons: High prices, Need more than 1 bathroom in Locker Room

FABULOUS "GIRLS DAY OUT"

by DebP

FABULOUS "GIRL'S DAY OUT" at Dtox Day Spa. After having such a great day at the spa, I felt compelled to write a review . We had a bachelorette party scheduled last Saturday for my sister. The director of the spa, Kat Podmolik, helped arranged the party and it was pleasant from start to finish. She was very attentive to our group's every needs. Our group booked two treatments (facial and massage) and I also asked if we could have lunch brought in, as well as a private champagne toast for the bride-to-be. Every request was accommodated flawlessly. Kat also checked in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was okay and up to our expectations. Every staff member was friendly and smiling! As far as the spa facility, I loved the decor and ambiance. The lounge was relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and they provided a nice supply of water (flavored with cucumber or lemon), fresh fruit and chocolate brownies (yummy!). YES....I said brownies. I loved the steam room which smelled of eucalyptus. The entire facility was clean and had lots of nice amenities. The massage was over-the-top fabulous with hot stones and I especially liked the warm towel wrap to my feet at the end --- (oooh, so soothing). They have a couples massage room, so for fun my girlfriend and I had a massage together (we giggled). The facial was great and they provided a quick neck massage with it (or you could choose a hand massage). All the girls in our party raved about the treatments. We all agreed it was one of the best spa days ever! We all plan on coming back to the facility and we're telling all our friends.

Pros: Favorite Spa in L.A.

Cons: I live in Florida, so can't visit as often as I'd like

The best spa and service in Los Angeles

by wendymendoza

I went to Dtox for the very first time today (also my first time getting a massage.) I was a little nervous at first since I did not know what to expect and also because I was going by myself. As soon as I walked into Dtox I felt welcomed. Everyone was extremely nice. Every room was very clean, relaxing and smelled delicious. My experience at Dtox was beyond what I imagined. Anita was great I would definitely recommend her to everyone. I am now thinking of at least once a month going to Dtox.

Pros: great service finally people that treat you like people not customers

Detox day spa, a very relaxing place

by tebasi

I've just been to that place today(02/24/09), what can I tell you, I enjoy it a lot. First of all, Carie the receptionist is very nice and friendly.
As for th facial I got, Asia did an excellent work. My skin hasn't been that beautiful for a long time.
Also, I love the place for its very relaxing and quiet Atrium where you can enjoy a delicious cup of white tea( vanilla flavor was my choice) and some grapes with few almonds.
A pleasure.
To finish, I want to add that the steam room with eucalyptus is a must.
I' ll come back, for sure.
Thank you!!!!

Pros: ambience

I'm Addicted!

by eurobritt

DTOX is amazing. For the quality of atmosphere and treatments, the prices are good too. They offer great monthly specials. This month's is 25 bucks off any treatment. When a 100 dollar massage is knocked down to 75, that's a deal. Mo is a wonderful, healing massage therapist. The other thing I love about dtox is that they don't say a word during your treatments. You can really zone out and relax. The ammenities are lovely, I recommend doing the steam and or sauna before your treatment. I love that it is not a "chain" spa, that it's a great local business, and that it has a lot of character. Really, it's a great sanctuary.

Pros: atmosphere, treatments

Cons: habit forming

by BadHairDay88

Based upon a friend's recommendation, I tried Dtox Day Spa. The service was very friendly and personal. Apparently this place is rising in popularity but it had the feel of a small neighborhood place. Jacob is terrific and very professional. Parking behind the spa is convenient.

Pros: Very Friendly

Cons: closses early

Overpriced, terrible massage

by embolee

I have had many massages, both professional and from students in training and this was by far the most ameturish massage I have ever paid for. While the space and facilities are beautiful, the techinique was rote and weak. I was not asked about pressure and when I requested more, the change was barely discernable. This was a tremendous disappointment and waste of money.

Pros: lovely facilities

Cons: terrible service and value

Fantastic

by postpro

This is indeed a lovely, non-pretentious place to get a facial and/or a massage. Not hoity-toity or snobbish, very contemporary & zen like. Their staff seem to be knowledgeable. I've been getting great advice whilst getting my facials! I only wish they did pedicures/foot treatments (which is why they get 4 stars instead of 5).

Best facial I've ever had!

by monkeyjump

I visited dtox day spa a few weeks ago and stepped into relaxation and beauty all at once. I had booked the dtox facial with Lila and by the time my session was over she had taught me the importance of real skin care and how important it is for me to take care of my skin..now! We decided to upgrade to the microdermabrasion facial I absolutely LOVED it...Lila talked me through the whole thing and made it so comfortable for me. I ended up getting a series. I will be back to continue working with Lila and taking better care of my skin. Thanks, dtox..

Pros: Great customer service , staff was all so friendly

Cons: Parking is a little tough

by hdlover

In short, Dtox was fabulous! I've had massages and other services at another well known Spa in Pasadena and Dtox was even better. Much more cozy. I felt like I had been going there for years! Anna, the girl who did my massage turned me into a new woman! I have already recommended Dtox to 3 of my girls and they are all planning on making appointments. Thank you, thank you, thank you Dtox! I WILL be back and its SOOOOO close to home. We likey!

a place you could relax..

by jollygina

i went here to treat myself,"a birthday pamper for myself" it was a break from my busy schedule,, while having my treatment,,it was a very solemn time alone with yourself,i like the fact that renee (my esthetician) gave me that moment of silence, a very wonderful experience, but a little flaw is that when she's putting something in my face i feel suprise because its cold, i wish she'll mention it first. but over all,, i found a place i would be to relax.

Pros: parking @ the back

Cons: no hair dryer and mirror after facial

Closer and much cooler than Burke Williams

by wayzie

Love the atmosphere in this place and I really like my esthetician. I've gotten about five facials here, very gentle but effective.

My only complaint is the women's locker room. There's just one bathroom. If there's anything that will mess with your "Calgon, take me away!" flow, it's having someone knocking on a frosted glass door and pacing outside while you're trying to get dressed and savor the final moments of calm serenity before you head out into Glenfeliz traffic.

Pros: Location, interior design in spa area

Cons: Ladies' locker room (one bathroom, narrow dressing area)

Exceptional Massage, Clean & Quiet and awesome HAPPY HOUR!

by realitygirl

Being an Atwater Village resident I am thrilled to have this little slice of heaven practically in my backyard. Mohammad gives incredible, intuitive and loving massages. Their straight up Dtox Massage (80 minutes is a must!) is the perfect mixture of swedish and hot stone. The full hot stone isn't my cup of tea as it's rather boring, but to each his own. Finally the best part of Dtox has got to be their Happy Hours every 1st Friday of the month. Uh-mazing! For $40 you can get any type of treatment you want, gab with your friends to deep house music, drink wine and eat delish cheese and cracker assortments, and get your weekend started off properly. It's even better if you can stumble home when you live in Atwater!

Pros: Quiet & serene, pure indulgence, excellent management!

Cons: No jacuzzi

Salvation in the City

by rajadev

I just had a Hot LavaStone Massage and was expecting to just have a relaxing experience. Instead I had one of the most amazing healing experiences in my life. I was a Medical Massage Therapist for 18 years in New York and Los Angeles , so I'm very critical when it comes to technique. My therapist had great timing,
pressure, form and continuity. The combination of warm stones that relaxed and opened up the muscles plus Swedish massage was a perfect combination. I'm sold on the bodywork and the beautiful serene and tastefully executed interior design of the Spa itself. Bravo guys!!!!

Beautiful Facility but limited waxing services!?!

by bquin

Great spa with a great atmosphere, with 1 surprise....they don't service brazillian waxing! I called the other day and to my surprise, it is not offered here. What professional, beautiful space, that offers facials, doesn't have this type of service on thier menu? Well, this spa apparently doesn't. I'm almost afraid to get my eyebrows waxed here. But I do have to say the one time I came in for a massage, it was wonderful! Wish I could come here for all my "spa" needs.

Modern AMAZING Friendly Spa Great Therapists

by maja18

Best spa in town!!! No BS, No silly frills, just a very modern very ZEN atmosphere. Massage therapists are amazing, they only seem to hire experienced, super professional and talented people who really know how to customize the massage to your needs. The Signature is ultra-relaxing (they use hot packs, a scalp treatment from Philip B, foot scrub, aaaahhhh), Hot Stone is the BOMB!!!!!! They're also fantastic with therapeutic massage for sports injuries, or any on-going issues (like my neck wrecked from a car accident). Truly, I can't think of a better place in LA for the money and location. Dry sauna and steam are great before the massage, and they serve fresh cherries and brownies in the relaxation area. Bring a book and melt away for hours. Also, I love that there isnt ANY attitude, just friendly folks in a great neighborhood spa. Highly recommended!

Pros: Easy Parking, good prices, very ZEN

Horrible facial &bad facility

by parafinn

The lamp/mirror unit broke right at the start of my facial and it took about 10 minutes to find a replacement. The aesthitician did extractions for all of 30 seconds, although I specifically said I was there for deep cleaning/extractions - MORE annoyingly she chattered through the whole treatment about how bad my skin was (yes, it had been awhile since I had a facial) and after the treatment was done I was not offered a mirror to look at my skin - no, I was whisked into the dimly lit dressing room, with horrible lighting I still couldn't see if the facial was satisfactory. When I asked the front desk for a mirror, he offered to turn up the (overhead) lights in the dressing room so I could look in the mirror there. Needless to say I will not return here. If you want to be pampered, DEFINITELY go to Burke Williams or Beverly Glen Facials, or Lucas in Echo Park - in comparison, 'dtox' day spa leaves lot to be desired.

Pros: Location

Cons: Amateurish facility, inadequate treatment

great spa experience

by coolestoldlady

Earlier this month I spent a day at the D-Tox Day Spa. I thoroughly enjoyed the treatments I received there. I had a custom full body massage by Nomi, working on my trouble spots. Also, I had a facial (my first ever) with Jeanette. A very relaxing day! The massage was the best I ever had and the facial felt wonderful. I did not feel rushed going from one treatment to another. I had time to soak up the music and relaxing atmosphere and take the feeling with me when I left.
The staff was very friendly. I was visiting from out of state and was happy with their recommendation for a place to have lunch.
If I lived in the area I would definitely return again and again.

Pros: Friendly Staff, relaxing atmosphere

Cons: none

Unbelievble Spa experience right in my backyard! What a gem!

by happycamper23

From the outside, it looked like just a standard business store front. Once I opened the door, what an amazing transformation. Very tranquil, peaceful Zen feeling. The employees were very kind, helpful and professional.

Had the Dtox Spa Signature facial with Lila. She had the most amazing touch. She made me feel very comfortable even during the extractions, which I don't look forward to. Lila is one person I highly recommend getting a treatment from. Will be returning!

My next experience was the 1 hour Pedicure treatment. Loved every minute! Very clean and her products are so amazing and pure! All natural and not to mention FAIR TRADE!

I have found a gem in my backyard which I hope not too many people discover because I love the fact it felt like the spa was all mine. AMAZING! ONE HAPPY CAMPER!

Most AMAZING experience!

by ben10ben

I went to Dtox at the suggestion of a friend who knew I was looking to get the ultimate "pampered" experience. I knew I would be in for a treat but I was simply blown away by the staff, the treatment and just the ambience of the facility. The waiting room in the middle makes you feel like you're in some exotic corner of the world, not in the middle of a busy metropolitan area! My facial was absolutely DIVINE and I even started to find myself drifting to sleep because I was in such a relaxed state.

I have to say the only thing I didn't like was the fact that I had to leave. I also purchased a facial cleanser that I swear by now ... it's sooooo much better than what I used to use and I'm a devout follower of dtox now. I can't wait to go back. I've definitely told all my friends and those who have taken me up completely agree.

I had my baby shower at the spa. The staff was incredible, they set out a collection of desserts complete with baby carriage candies, served us our champange with flair, and even put up with our conversation while the spa was still just ours to enjoy. The treatments were wonderful and Taylor, my pregnancy masseuse, was exceptional! The atomosphere is clean, modern, and very soothing. Going back as soon as I have the time.

Awesome facials!

by eliv1976

The facials are amazing. Facials in general make you feel better by removing dead skin but the facial here was indeed superb. My skin not only feels completely cleansed but feels 200% softer and tender. I highly suggest you get any of the facials here. The service was average as many spas are pretty attentive but the products used is definitely effective. I feel better not only on the service but as a whole person. I plan on returning for a full body scrub. If the body scrubs are as good as the facials, I'm certain that I will feel completely rejuvinated by the end of my next visit. Highly recommended. Serene atmosphere and good service!

Pros: Great products and service

Cons: Parking

by sprwoman

I was given a gift certificate to a spa and I decided to try Dtox Spa from citysearch. Well, I am glad that i chose this place. close to home, good atmosphere, friendly, courteous and professional people are a major attraction of this place. I had a facial and it was so good and thorough that I felt Ihad a brand new face when I left. Lily, thanks a bunch. I've had facials from other places before and those extractions can hurt like crazy but
Lily made it seem like i'm not having this extractions. very gently and non painful.... Hooray for that!!!!!
I will definitely be a regular customer at this place even to just enjoy their ammenities and the quiet room. What a Zen place.

Best Massage Ever!

by kangelino

Besides the meditative atmosphere that takes over as soon as you step into the great room of dtox day spa, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. The happy hours are fun and the facials are fantastic. I had an 80 minute hot stone massage with a seaweed wrap and it was the best massage I've ever had. The massage therapists name was Julian Ambrosio and I highly recommend requesting him. He was personable and knowledgeable about the massage and it was wonderful. dtox is the place to go!

A high end spa on the EASTSIDE!

by nycla

Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. This is the eastside right? But I was very pleasantly surprised. As soon as I walked in I noticed the facilities had the look and service of a high end westside (Beverly Hills even) operation. Very tasteful, modern balinese, expensive looking design. Wood, waterfalls, comfy couches, great smells, soothing light. I got a facial and a body scrub and was very impressed considering I've tried some of the best and most expensive of these treatments at high end spas around the world. If they would just add a full wet room it would be PERFECT.

Pros: A list services on the East side, very sophisticated elegant facilities

Cons: no wetroom for body scrubs

I will never go anywhere else again. Dtox has the perfect combination of friendly, professional service, relaxing atmosphere, and truly caters to the customer. Great Mani/Pedi

by male_opinion

I was very impressed with the service. Very professional and sanitary. It's a bit pricey but worth it. The manicurist spoke english and did not converse with anyone else but me. I have had experiences with manicurist that have a tendency to start conversing in their native language or try to rush you to get to the next customer at other nail salons (if you can call them that). Instead of feeling relaxed and calm I end up feeling uncomfortable and tense. NOT AT DTOX! It is definitely a place wear I can relax and let go. From the other reviews that I read I will definitely set up an appointment for a massage next. Thank you for making me feel like a guest and not just another number.

Best Birthday Gift Ever!

by joyjoy90027

My Husband give me a gift certificate to dtox spa over Christmas. Didn't even know about this place. I just now took advantage of it and booked a massage and facial over the weekend. First up - I BOOK OVER THE WEEKEND. Wow, I was able to get in. It was busy, but it didn't feel like it. Relaxing space, the minute you walk in... it's mood changing. Locker room was small but did the job, steam and sauna prefect! Not too hot and not too cold. They have a beautiful rest co-ed area... just amazing, water falls and big palm plants. The best part of everything was my treatments, I started off with a facial. Janet was her name.... nice girl. She did wonders to my face... it was by far the best facial I have ever had. Hot rocks on my shoulders and hands... HEAVEN! Massage the same... just perfectly done. Not a complaint about this place at all. It's a must Go!!

Relaxing, peaceful, fun and wonderful customer service

by dc2losangeles

It?s hard to believe that this little refuge from city life is located two blocks away from one of Los Angeles? busiest thruways (the 5 freeway). I?ve had a couple of treatments at dtox and most recently attended one of the Happy Hour Friday parties. I really enjoy this spa because it's peaceful and the people there are very pleasant and soothing. I?ve had the hot stone massage (there?s simply nothing like having warm pebbles placed in between your toes) and the aromatherapy facial. For my Happy Hour Friday treatments I had the organic hand and foot scrub (scrubbing to the beat) and an amazing manicure with a bit of Reiki and reflexology. Great stuff.

Beautiful spa, incredible service

by thisblueangel

I brought a group of women for a bridal shower type event to dtox, and it was perfect. The space is gorgeous, with loft-like architectural details. The treatments and amenities were great (massages, manicures, paraffin, sauna room). And after a number of other spas (which will remain un-named) had been difficult to deal with, unfriendly, or simply unwilling to accomodate us, dtox gave us their front room all to ourselves and put out snacks for us. Oh, and everything smelled really nice. We will all be going back.

Pros: Lovely ambience, helpful staff, great services, free parking, and on the East side

Best way to wind down after a long week!

by divamulan

Who'd a thunk it?! Friday night happy hour at a SPA!!! ...talk about relaxing :D

For those of us who like a nice relaxing beverage, but are also interested in our stylish images the combination is better than laundry and your local pool hall (not that I haven't attended my fair share of those, especially back in the day - but no need to spread that around).

There is nothing like a mini-massage and chatting with friends to get you reinspired for a night on the town. After feeling all relaxed (if you don't meet people to hang out with at Dtox) you can head home for a quick clothes change and still make those late dinner reservations! Feeling more fabulous after you have completely forgotten all about your hectic week.

Not to mention the early morning yoga class that gets me ready for yet another day at the office. Nothing like a little deep breathing to get you ready to face your boss (and not quit) for one more day! ... it's getting to be a necessity in my life. go figure.

Pros: Atmosphere, quality of service, friendly staff

A place to relax, detox and feel a million times better!

by lausul01

I have gone to a lot of spas and had a lot of massages and this is the best experience to date. I went there to work out the kinks in my back neck and shoulders and came out feeling physically and mentally relaxed. First off, the spa is beautiful, clean and so comfortable. Every amentiy imaginable is available (they even have toothbrushes to help you freshen up!). The massage therapist found sore spots that even I didn't know I had and the immense fountain set the tone to my massage and kept my mind off the rest of the world.

I also had a mini facial and their products were great and their recommendations on how to wash my face better were invaluable. I have REALLY sensitive skin and my face glowed for the week after with no sign of irritation from the products.

Thank heavens that we finally have an upscale spa in the area. Enjoy!

FANTASTIC SPA!

by atwtrres

FINALLY! A great day spa for the Eastenders! I have been waiting for this day for 10 years. Dtox Day Spa was definitely worth the wait. I have been watching it through its construction, waiting, oh waiting, for it to finally open its doors and I was not disappointed. The place is beautiful! It is simple and modern with an asian flair, perfect for those with a modern sensibility, and tired of the 'old lady', romanesque spas that are littered throughout the city. The central waiting area was amazing, with two white rock waterfalls, chaise loungers, fruit, hot teas, and water....so relaxing. The staff was courteous and nice and my massage was awesome! I requested a deep tissue, but they also included some hot stones (I found out later that it's always included). Best day spa on the East side--Los Feliz, Atwater

by jara1

I was thrilled to find this gem of a day spa in my neighborhood of Los Feliz. Heres my quick story. It was a Saturday and I decided that I needed facial immediately. A bit apprehensive about finding just the right place in my neighborhood (I wasnt in the mood to drive any great distance) that would satisfy, I opened LA City Search, typed in my zip code and just chose. I picked dtox. To my pleasant surprise the guy who answered the phone explain that the products where all natural and with many organic options (It doesnt mention this on the website?) and that he could get me in, in an hour. If I wanted to come early he said, I could sit in the steam room. I was sold.

When I entered (after parking for free in the rear) I was again surprised by the well-chosen aesthetics. To me a well designed space speaks volumes about the energy of its inhabitants and creator. Think West Elm meets Asian water fountains. It was one of the cleanest spas Ive ever been to. Open for approx a month, its shinny new. So come get it while its fresh and the steam room doesnt smell. There are also fresh oranges in the water, blueberries for the eating and organic teas all while you can lounge in one of the atriums chaises soaking in the vitamin D that is pouring down upon you from the sun.

My esthetician was adorable and knowledgeable. The facial room was spacious and cozy. I could hear the water fountains in the atrium, which helped me to relax. My skin looked and felt great. I highly recommend this experience. dtox is totally handicap accessible too.

Pros: Clean, beautiful, organic products

Cons: Air conditioning a bit high in spa area but I warmed up after the steam room!

Beautiful, intimate spa

by mimikay

I've been to dtox twice and loved the experiences. The facility is small and beautifully decorated so it felt like I was in a gorgeous home. The common area with the water fountain and buddha fixture is so serene I took time after my facial to sit there and quietly transition back to the real world. My treatments were wonderful and relaxing even though the rooms are not fully enclosed -- the sound of the water in the common area drowns out any ambient noises. I actually fell asleep at one point. The in-house products are amazing. I use a couple of them regularly and highly recommend the line to anyone. I go to many large chain and resort spas which are also beautiful and provide excellent service. But dtox day spa is a nice change since I feel like I am de-stressing in my own home.

Pros: Small, intimate, beautifull decorated

Cons: None

My new favorite spa

by gromitgirl

While visiting a friend in LA, I had the opportunity to visit the dtox day spa for an afternoon of pampering. The environment was tranquil and aesthetically pleasing, and the staff was also very pleasant. I've had a back injury, so I'm pretty picky about massages. At dtox I had a fantastic massage by a woman named Nami, who used her strong hands and hot stones to knead the pain and stiffness out of my body. I followed that up with a hot shower and some time in the steam room (they have a sauna as well), and then I lounged around and ate fresh blueberries while testing out a bunch of their products. My favorite was the vitamin water spray, which I bought to take home.

Upon leaving the spa, I found myself feeling equally relaxed and energized at the same time. I felt great the next day as well, and I have concluded that Nami has given me the best massage I've had yet. Overall my experience at dtox was excellent and I will definitely go back. The only sad part is I live in San Francisco so I might have to wait a while.

Pros: Great massages, attractive interior design, tranquil atmosphere

Cons: There isn't one in San Francisco (yet...?)

Tranquil Spa, Nice Staff and Wonderful Products

by traciellen

Update! I returned to try out Narayan's High Heel Pedicure - wow! Two hours of heaven! She saved my heals - I had been to several other places for all sorts of foot scrubs, but only Narayan was able to get my feet soft and smooth! She uses her own organic scrubs and oils - including unrefined shea butter - silky! To top it off, she used three different shades layered on my toe nails - and they look fabulous! It's like a great paint job with amazing depth! I can't wait to show off my toes tomorrow at the office!

I read the DailyCandy newsletter on July 31 about Dtox Day Spa and decided to try it out since it was only ten minutes away from my office in Hollywood. The overall service I received was great, starting from my call to the spa to make the appointment through the end of my visit.

Dtox is an intimate spa with a tranquil atmosphere. I loved the decor and found each room had special touches. The common area had a trickling fountain, comfortable seating, the standard spa water with fruit and fresh blueberries and grapes.

I signed up for the basic facial. The esthetician was good, but could use a little more experience. Id be more than happy to go back to her in another month. What really stood out were the products they use, which are all organic and smell Wonderful!

Due to my personal schedule, I didnt have time to really use the spa facilities. Next time I will be sure take advantage of the steam room and sauna. I cant wait to go back and get a massage!

Pros: Relaxing Ambience, Knowledgable and Friendly Staff, Organic Products

I Never Have To Go To The Westside Again....HOORAY!!!!

by fleacastme

Finally, someone with a brain and vision figured out that us Eastsiders like to be pampered too and opened an amazing day spa, right in the heart of what is fast becoming the center of the universe here in Los Angeles (ATWATER/LOS FELIZ/SILVERLAKE/GLENDALE area). First off the name DTOX evokes all that is cleansing and good for you, you know you are in for a treat from the moment you walk in and see that beautiful floral mural! Can we talk about the beautifully decorated space, it is like a tranquil japanese garden in an industrial warehouse, too cool to be believed but not pretentious. Okay, but ultimately you will go there for the amazing spa treatments...everything you want...i recommemend the hot stone treatment, oh my god it was heaven. You can go early in the am and take the gentle and healing yoga class and have use of all the spa immenities...what is better then a steam after yoga? I heard a rumor that they are going to have a friday night happy hour thing happening which would mean, you could go to DTOX after work, steam and get rubbed down, take a shower all refreshed and grab dinner at ASIA and then head over to the BIGFOOT for the rest of the best evenning of your life!!! Oh life on the eastside, maybe i shouldnt be telling you all so i can keep this haven a secret for myself!!!

Pros: location, atmosphere, skilled technicians

Cons: nothing!! can i write more pros here?
