A-Z Service Station

A-Z came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. My fiance and I were extremely impressed by the repairs on both of our vehicles and on my motorcycle.

We also found that Billy and the team at A - Z are professional, honest and conscientious. We definitely plan on returning to A-Z in Brighton for all future vehicle servicing needs!

I have a air condition condenser problem last winter and got it changed and fixed in AZ.

Because it was winter so I never tested the air condition. However, last month I first tried the repaired AC and it was not working at all. So I went to AZ and ask them to check whats going on. In the afternoon I came back and they told me that it is because last winter when they repair the air condition condenser, the Freon is gone (because of the repairing), so now they refilled the Freon and need to charge me an additional $170.

So in summary, they did not fix my A/C problem and charged me the second time for the same problem (or the problem caused by the repair process). They did not inform me the A/C is empty of Freon last time when they repaired it, and did not inform me this time before they fill the Freon. Just wanna charge me when I went back.

I don't even want to start the topic of the price $170 for just filling the Freon.

Not only is everyone at A-Z helpful, honest, and knowledgeable, but they are also incredibly good at what they do, and they do the work for a fair price!

For years I have been taking my car elsewhere and paying a fortune--and STILL not having the work done properly!! Now that I have found A-Z, I will never take my car any place else, I have been spoiled by great service!

I jus bought a car and went to service it at A-Z service center. All employees were great. They attened to my car as if it were there own. I had many question, I dont know much about cars and by the end felt educated on them. Thank You!!

PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS!
Absolutely great quality and price. I searched long and hard in the Boston area for a good body shop and have now found one. I recently brought a new 2009 Murano to the shop to have scratches removed on the side of the car. Within three days we had the car back which looked brand new! They also repaired a small dent in the body at no extra charge. James and his team are worth every penny.

Pros: Quality of body repair, especially paint job! Ask for James.

Cons: None. First auto body experience that was completely painless.

A Z Auto Center was great! I needed to get some body work done on my car and I was able to walk in and get a quick estimate. I had to use my car for business travel so I wasn't able to have he repair it right away, but they said they would honor the estimate when I came back. They let me make an appointment about 3 weeks later. The car was ready when they said it would be. To top it off, when I came in to pick up the car, it was washed inside and out and I didn't even have to ask! Great service, honest work! Thanks A Z!

These guys are the best & fairly priced...I have had 3 major jobs done on my 2005 Audi, all have come in under the dealer and quoted prices. This includes timing belt work. If you have any type of car I highly recommend these guys. Ask for Billy, I have always felt satisfied with how he explains exactly what I am paying for.

I have been buying gas there for years, but only recently gone there for service on my car....Over the last couple of months I took my car in for something minor, and twice walked out with a bill that was between $1,000 and $2,000....when , in the past , I have not had to do more than just oil changes and brakes....I do not trust them and would not recommend them at all.....They were also not terribly polite or accomdating....

Pros: cheap gas

I brought my car in to A-Z to have an oil change done. This was the first time I have brought my car to A-Z and it certainly wont be the last. The last three oil changes I have had from other service stations have told me I need four new tires asap. Then they gave me an estimate and asked when I wanted to have the new tires put on. I mentioned it to A-Z and they took a look at it and said I could safely get a few more miles out of my current tires if they were just rotated. I was somewhat surprised because I am used to pushy mechanics telling me the car isnt safe and needs work when in all actuality it is safe. They took care of the car and I was on my way in 30 minutes. They even took care of hanging piece of plastic underneath the car, it was missing a bolt and they fixed at no charge. The service at this place goes above and beyond, I highly recommend A-Z, at least talk to them before you go anywhere else.

I had been delaying fixing my car for a long time because I was skeptical about letting somebody I didn't know work on my car. So after my car crapped the bed and it need to get fixed, I was referred to A-Z through AAA. I phoned the place and the person had me come right down. Within 5 minutes I had a quote and was told exactly what was wrong. Not only was the quote right on, but they fixed everything on my car that day and did it the way I asked them to do it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I had probably one of the best mechanic experiences in my life. So if your looking for a safe place that does good work for cheap, this is your bag.

Pros: Good Location, Cheap, Friendly Service, Honest+Good work

My father was driving down to Boston from Maine to see me for the weekend and he ran over a log on Rt 1 and popped his tire, and his car was making funny noises. AZ was the only place open, and they stayed open later so we could get there. They agreed to look at the car to determine if it was safe to drive, and they even bent one of the peices of metal that got bent that was making a noise back to its original position and didnt even want to charge us for it. We insisted on giving the mechanic a big tip. Sparky, the guy that helped us, was extremely nice and helpful. I would and will recommend this place to everyone I know, in fact I'm heading over there after work to get some work done on my car!

I am new to the area and read the reviews here before paying a visit. They were all dead-on. These guys are no-frills, honest mechanics who take their business seriously. They insisted on giving a binding written estimate before I decided on any work to be done, and they checked the car over in just a few minutes to see what the problem was.
They did brake work for me that was desparately need (I didn't know how badly) on the front, while the back needed only adjusting. Hands-down, they are my new mechanic for the life of my car.

Pros: Quick, no-frills (direct), knowledgeabe, part day hours on Saturday

Cons: Parking, but after all, it is also a gas station.

I have been using this repair shop for some time now and I recommend it to all of my colleagues who live and work close by.The staff at A-Z is very honest and are always willing to answer any questions you may have. In addition, if you are interested, they will go out of their way to show you your old car parts and explain exactly what you need done and why. Many shops would not take the time to do this. I must admit that I started using this service station because there was an attractive young brunette who worked there so that drew me in. However, it doesn't seem that she works there anymore, but I will still remain a loyal customer! Thanks for the honest service A-Z! I can't wait to check out the new car detailing facility.

As a young woman who was new to the Boston area and has limited knowledge about cars, the idea of trying to find an honest and respectable auto body shop seemed almost impossible. However, the guys at A-Z proved me wrong and its been my "go to" place for the past 3 years. I can honestly say that the employees go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and the provision of quality services. The staff are competent, reliable, hard-working, friendly, considerate, genuine, and actually take the time to explain the work they will be doing on your car and answer any questions you may have. I've recommended A-Z to my friends and family and have had no regrets about doing so. They're truly the best service station around!

I strongly recommend AZ for all of your car needs. I brought my car couple of month ago for repair and I was treated very professionally and the salesman explained to me the diagnosis of my car in plain english and my car my repaired as it was described to me. In addition I was able to schedule my car for body work and detailing for the next day and I was very pleased and very satisfied with the quality and service that I received.

A-Z kept my car for a solid week before giving me an estimate on fixing some windshield wipers! When I dropped off the car, I explained that I really needed this fixed quickly since this was right before a trip I was planning and it was going to rain. After a week of calling every day, when I went to see them, they kept me waiting for 45 minutes and were extremely rude about their estimate, which included many items that were completely unneccessary. When I asked if they could fix the wipers, they told me that it would be several more days so I brought the car to another repair shop that fixed this for me in one day. I felt like A-Z was just trying to pump me for money and they treated me very poorly and unprofessionally. I had been a customer for a year before they did this and had other issues with them in the past that I overlooked. After this experience, I will never go back.

I went to AZ to get my car inspected (which they did very quickly, by the way). While I was waiting an elderly man was talking with one of the managers. He was saying that, although his car was broken, he could not afford to fix it at the price they quoted him. The manager listened to the man and then said "I will take off an hour of labor for you. We won't be making any money on it, but I'll do that for you." Then the man then said he could only pay for part of it right now, but next month he would be receiving a check. The manager said "That's fine, you can pay the rest next month." Then the man said that he needed to leave the car overnight and pick it up tomorrow, and the manager told him "Whatever is easiest for you."

I have never, ever encountered service like that. I have gone to my fair share of auto repair shops, both good and bad, and this was beyond anything I've ever encountered. Because of this event, AZ is the only repair shop in Boston that I will use. I have never been so impressed with a mechanic.

i got my car fixed at A-Z Service Station, they were very professional and convenient, they check whatever i told them to do. They explained to me what they are going to fixed they even showed me the bad parts that i have in my vehicle. i was very satisfied and happy after the job is done and they charge me the same price they quote me originally.
high quality job and professional for a fair money, i'll take any time.

I have been going to this place for over a year. I am impressed by the level of customer service & speed of repairs they have given me. It took me a while to find a honest repair shop that has fair prices around Boston but I finally found one. This shop is also AAA approved and offer not only engine repair but body work also. All work is always explained to me in detail and not $1 is charged to me unless I authorize it first.

Pros: thumbs up overall

I (also female) have been living in Brighton for almost three years and have used these guys since I moved here. They have always been right on in terms of estimates, they also have told me when I didn't need to have something done - so I didn't have to spend a ton of money... Very honest, very capable and take care of women just like they take care of men. They even explain problems to me in layman's terms so I know exactly what is wrong and why I need to fix it. Also the AAA hes - they give 10% off all parts and guarantee the work.

I don't know cars, and I'm a young woman, so I'm always worried that I'll be taken for a sucker at a garage (sounds like a cliche, but it happens). I shouldn't have worried in this case. The people at A-Z were knowledgable and honest. They took a look at it first thing in the morning (I dropped it off at night, since the adjacent gas station is open 24/7), and it was ready that afternoon. All told, it only cost $250--same as the initial quote. And, since A-Z is AAA approved, I never even had to go to the station. AAA towed it there for me and A-Z completed the paperwork for me over the phone. No hassle, no pressure...what a great experience. They even put some gas in my tank!
