Affordable food in the casual comfort of a neighborhood bar.
  • Weekend Brunch
  • Beer and Wine
  • Night Life

Conveniently located between Center City and Fishtown, this eclectic and welcoming restaurant continues to flourish due to its ever-evolving menu courtesy of Chef Peter Dunmire, who delights in changing his daily blackboard specials. Located in Northern Liberties, the area itself provides much of the ambience. Whether you go for N.3rd's European-style sidewalk café, its impressive selection of international wines, sizeable Belgian beer list or it's cozy Sunday Brunch, N.3rd's quirky character continually win people over. The Lounge at N.3rd (adjacent to the restaurant) plays host to a dozen different events each month, everything from screening local short films very Tuesdays to Psydde Delicious hosting every second Wednesday.

Great wings! Fun atmosphere! 5 Star Rating - World class

N. 3rd is one of the my favorite hangouts! The wings are amazing with a beers to match. Great for people watching in the summer.

never fails us. 5 Star Rating - World class

For a young family on a tight budget, this is the place to eat. We have been coming to N 3rd for a number of years now and have NEVER had a bad meal. The service is great (and they are all so very good looking :) and the food is consistent. I'm IN LOVE with the lamb sandwich special. PUT IT ON THE MENU!! And the tuna burger is insane...the spring rolls to die for...the half chicken entree...the mojito martini...the chocolate bread pudding. Oh my god. I'm getting hungry. And they are always so cool about accommodating our 4 year old with a chicken strip and french fry platter (which is not on their menu).

Pros: so satisfying if you're easygoing and just want a good meal.
Cons: not open for lunch.

Soggy sandwiches, poor service 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

I have been to North 3rd several times, both for brunch and dinner. Each time I visit I find that the food has gone slightly down hill and the servers become increasingly less customer driven/focused. This last visit was for brunch. It is seat yourself, so it can be a little difficult to find a table. For this reason we ate at the bar. It took over 30 minutes for us to get our food, we ordered wings and a sandwich to share. The wings were delcious, the sauce was just the right spice and the blue cheese was fresh. However, the sandwich was soggy. Our server was annoyed when we asked for condiments, and never came to check on us. What was supposed to be a quick brunch, ended up taking over 1.5 hours due the long wait for the food. T

Great beer selction, good eats and happening place for Eagles fans! 5 Star Rating - World class

N 3rd is the spot for Eagles fans! From the great atmosphere to the numerous beer selections to the music and, let's not forget, they're a great spot for a good meal. We always receive excellent service from the wait staff which is hard to come by these days in other bars and restaurants. Definitely a spot to go!

Pros: food, atmosphere, wait staff, and Eagles football!

Good spot for a nice meal with drinks 4 Star Rating - Very good

North 3rd is one of the better relaxed bars to stop in for a good meal in Philly. The prices are reasonable, could be cheaper but there are certainly places in the area that charge more. The menu is their real selling point; it offers a nice variety and the food has been high quality each time I've gone. The beer list is also very good. Parking is usually pretty easy and while it's often crowded, you should be able to get a seat. The atmopshere is chill and the place is spacious and airy. I always mean to get to North 3rd more often, and when I get a chance to I always wonder why I don't.
