I went there after reading a lot of research and being first time all these reviews helped me a lot. I'm not going to lie, it will hurt no matter how many times you'll go but they'll make sure that you are aware of each step they'll take one by one which will prepare you for the pain. Eda was really nice at making me feel comfortable and I will definitely go there before my wedding for sure.

This was my first time getting a brazillian and I highly recommend coming here for your next wax. They were everything I was looking for. I had Christina and she was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. She was honnest about which places would hurt the most and she was very thorough. Helena's was also very clean. they also take special precautions to make sure your skin does not become agitated after the wax. I am very satisfied and will return for my next wax

I was seen by Di...a wonderful professional and a true artist of her craft! She's from Brazil...so she REALLY knows her stuff! If you speak spanish, you'll get the most wonderful conversations sprinkled with portugese here and there. She was very polite, never rude or inappropriate...which was very effective in putting me at ease. I mean, you're already sitting there half naked waiting to get waxed feeling incredibly exposed. The last thing you need is more embarrassment. But Di treated me so amazingly well! I was so comfortable with the whole experience! It was my first time and really had no clue what to expect! As a tattooist, I understand the nerves that come with the anticipation of a painful procedure. But, with the proper bedside manner, even the most skittish can be put at ease. She made me feel safe and secure, was honest about areas I might feel the most discomfort, and was very gentle at every step. She was very detailed and thorough with her work. I'm definitely coming back for more visits! Not having to shave for a month is worth the expense! Oh, and worth the pain...

I'd never had a Brazilian wax, and did not know what to expect...and was nervous. That is wiped away immediately. This is a professional salon with very understanding people. I'd rate it 6 stars if I could!

I was VERY nervous about getting my first Brazilian wax, but I had heard that Helena's was the place to go. Everything you've heard about Helena's is true...they do a great job. Shanna is especially good. She is polite, laid back and makes you feel very comfortable. And, yes, it hurts, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would. I would strongly recommend two Tylenol and some caffeine 30 mins before your wax. And try to RELAX during the wax. I know that's nearly impossible, but it helps. I am a waxing convert now. I've tried other places and none of them are as good as Helena's.

I went to Helena's for my first Brazilian wax and have been going since. The salon is clean and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff is amazing! They are very friendly, professional and always strive to provide the best service. I love that the hours are so flexible that anybody, no matter how hectic of a schedule you may have, can easily get an appointment. Absolutely the best!

DI was the one that did my brazilian wax and she was great. Made me feel right at home and did it fast and smooth. It was my first time and it really didnt hurt as i thought it would. She made it really pain free by working quick but yet gentle. Great JOB!!!

I went here for the first time for a brazilian wax after using another salon for two years. I had Isabel and she was fabulous. She actually made it relaxing (which is near impossible for a wax!). She knew what she was doing and took her time and was very thorough. I would highly recommend her and this place.

My appointment was early this year...I was always interested in getting a Brazilian wax. I found Helena's through city search and read the reviews. I had Eda she was good she is very professional and explain to you the process. Helena's is clean and quiet. I have scheduled another appointment at Helena's and look forward to going back.

This was my second time at helenas. First time was ok, nothing spectacular but still a decent experience. I've read the comments below and this time had Di who I also found to be not very well trained. The appt felt rushed, she wasrude and very unprofessional. I do not think I will be going back to Helenas.

I went to Helena's and came out a happy customer. The facility is very clean and professional.
As anyone can tell you, waxing "that area" hurts and is embarrassing, but I had Di, who was very professional, and made me feel very comfortable. She prepares you so you know which areas will hurt the most and works fast on those areas, and then takes her time making sure the end result comes out perfectly. I highly recommend this salon and highly recommend Di!

After having a bad experience with a different salon, I tried Helena's for a brazilian to see if there would be a difference. THERE WAS A HUGE DIFFERENCE. Helena's is very strict with their protocol on keeping everything hygienic and clean, so I wasn't worried about having an adverse reaction to unsanitary tools or wax. Isabelle is fantastic and does a great job on my brows and bikini area. Though the price at Helena's is more expensive than other wax salons, you get much better results. I don't have to worry about tweezing anything when I get home. They literally go through every area with a microscopic lens to get everything you want out. I highly recommend this place if you truly want a clean wax job.

Have had plenty of waxes before but never anything like this. Had di.She was unprofessional, messy, rude and left so much hair behind. In addition it was the most uncomfortable I've ever felt getting waxed and I've had plenty. Tried to talk to the front desk to put in a complaint but that was next to impossible as she was disorganized and seemed to be in another world. Will not be returning and highly discourage anyone from going.

Ive been to helenas brazilian wax and spa about 4 times this year and i absolutely love it. The customer service is amazing and they are very proffessional. Brittnany makes the process feel very comfortable.

I've done wax for a long time at various other places. But my latest was at Helena's. It was with a new Aesthetician / Waxing Specialist named "Di". She was even from Brazil. She used more blue wax and I felt less pain. She took her time and didn't rush. The end result was excellent! I was clean of all hair and most of all my skin was not harmed in anyway, such as rashes.

I will definetly go back and see Di at Helena's

Helena's is the cleanest place in Houston, they use the best equipment, are extremely accomodating and friendly AND do not rush...they take their time and do a very thorough job...I will never go anywhere else!

i am a guy so don't wax much or at all, but ask for shanna she is the best, helena helped with my facial wax/hair tweezing whatever its called and she was pretty good... for repeat customers the expense might add up a bit but you can not argue with the results

I would have to say that this was the best brazilian I have had... It was quick and easy and of course it hurt a little for a brazilian especially being it was about 2 mths since I did my previous brazilian, but it was not as bad as my first experience (At another place). Brittany made me feel very comfortable with her.... And that blue hard wax is the best... It was less painful than the normal wax and I didn't hurt after I was all done, or feel like I had wax everywhere.... I would highly recommend this place.

I had my first visit here with waxist, Britanny, for an underarm and lower leg wax. She did an excellent job, it was probably the uncomfortable wax I've experienced and she left the areas clean. I've already made a followup appointment and will be trying a brow wax and my very first brazilian. Unfortunately, I'll have to refrain from waxing when I start Accutane next month and so I'm a bit regretful I only just tried this place now. Highly recommended to everyone.

We all have to get them done, and Brittany does a great job on it. I've been to other places before, but this was the first place that actually tweezed after the waxing. Talk about quality right. Not only that, they don't try to sell you products; more so like recommendations. Definitely going back AND religiously!

The ladies at this place are all very sweet. They greet you at the door with a smile, offer you a bottle of water, and are willing to answer any questions. The process, which is naturally a bit painful (Brazilian wax) was made much easier by the calm professionals. I went in for my first Brazilian last February, and had a great experience. I request the same lady to do my wax each time I go back. I highly recommend this place to my lady friends and family. Many of my friends have gone and reported back that they really enjoyed the outcome as well.

I had four full leg waxings at Helena's over the period of just a little over a year. They are relatively expensive at around $80 but it covers feet, toes, and full legs up to your underwear line. They offer promotional deals and gift cards which are great. For Christmas last year I asked my boyfriend for a Helena's gift card and I was able to get a few free waxings out of it.

The spa and rooms themselves are very clean as well as their materials and procedures. Unfortunately, I am a woman with an overabundance of body hair (I blame my heritage). I have a lot of hair, it's course, thick, strong down to the roots, and on top of that I have insanely sensitive skin. Shaving and waxes I have had in the past have always lead to infection and chronic ingrown hairs all over my legs. The procedures at Helena's are thorough, well done and the products they sell as well as their advice are really helpful in keeping my skin and legs clear.

Due to my hairiness I have always been uncomfortable about it, but the women at Helena's have never made me feel uneasy. Also despite their popularity I have never run into difficulty setting up appointments around my schedule.

I only get waxings a few times a year to save money, but it is so worth it. I could walk around in shorts for just about 2 weeks which for me is pretty miraculous. Typically I'll set up an appointment around the summer months and prior to vacations or big events. It's a pretty good way to save some money and spend the money you do have on a quality waxing experience.

I never had a Brazilian before, so needless to say, I was intimidated my first time. My aesthetician, though, put me right at ease. She was very professional and never made me feel uncomfortable. (if you've ever had one before, you know what an awkward situation it is!) She answered all of my questions thoroughly, and best of all, she worked quickly. The room I was in could have been a little bit more relaxing- I could hear the client in the next room over- and I did not enjoy having to look at the security camera shots on the tv above me. Overall, I was extremely happy with their services and have already recommended them to some of my friends.

I had my first appt at Helenas five weeks ago upon a friends advice. When I first arrived I was just expecting the usual wax.
The process they use makes it much less painful. Courtntey was very informed/knowledgeable. The salon was clean and I felt very comfortable.
I would definitely recommend my friends try Helenas!!!
