Amazing High Energy Workout  5 Star Rating - World class

I usually do not post reviews; however, I must do so after reading the PERSONAL ATTACK posted by an Anonymous user. You know the saying, DO NOT believe everything that you hear or read, and especially when it is posted by an Anonymous user that apparently has a personal grudge.

PPBC is the only indoor obstacle confidence course in the country and IT IS the Real Deal in Fitness. PPBC is a hardcore, in your face, results oriented workout. The workouts are amazing (full of variety) and you will DEFINITELY see results. I have been at it for 4 months and I am in the BEST shape of my life.

If you are tired of the boring monotonous gym routine that does not produce results, then PPBC is for you.

Horrible!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

The routine is dull and repetitive. The gym is dirty. They refuse to turn on any air conditioning in the summer. The owner is only interested in charging your credit card for as many classes ahead of time as possible. She will not give you your money back under any circumstances, so be careful! Also, she uses her clients as personal therapists rather than clients. The bathrooms are disgusting! All in all, a bad experience.

If you can't take the heat, stay outta the kitchen. 5 Star Rating - World class

I always start this review process by reading everyone elses first. Great fun to see who is being brutally honest about something and who is being bitter. I cant say enough good things about this place and rather than being redundant, I would suggest you all read the comments below. I agree with most of them but any with less than 4 stars: pass over. (Bitter). Ill summarize so you dont waste your time. Whoever wrote after my 6 weeks of 4x a week, I didnt lose an inch or a pound, must have been eating like a pig when they werent in PPBC. Its not humanly possible NOT lose inches or weight in this place. (Unless of course youre a slacker.). Im down 12 pounds, 2 inches, 8 weeks. And a "class full of out of shape girls who cant do a pushup" ? R U an anorexic gymnast? The women in the classes Ive taken are in better shape than most people in the most popular health clubs in the city.

And then the person who moaned the gym was disgusting, very dirty.. If you want a pristine, sweet smelling, juice bar, spa, then join one. Cant take the sweat, the intensity, and the heat? Get the hell outta the kitchen, wimp. PPBC is for the serious and dedicated. Trainers are serious about their stuff, about making sure you get it done, and making sure you pay the price for not getting it done. Its certainly not dirty, but then this person probably ran for the shower after carrying the sand bags around and got a little sand in their hair. (Youd think I worked at this place. Really, I dont. I just think people can be completely un-objective.). And complaining about never hearing from the owner after the club took their money? Heck, when was the last time the owner of NYSC called you? Youre lucky they even took your money.

I could go on but I wont. Do it if youre serious about your health, state of mind, and think you can handle it. (And even if you think you cant, trust me, you can with the energy and camaraderie at this place). Stay away if you cant.

Let’s get ready to rumbleeeeeeeee 5 Star Rating - World class

PPBC is a hardcore, in your face, lets get ready to rumble kind of work out. Ive tried all the diets, working out in the gym, and working with a personal trainer, but achieved mediocre results at best. With the help of PPBC, Ive finally been able to get in solid shape. What makes PPBC different is the sense of team. Together, we work towards a common goal of fitness and we motivate each other to accomplish goals never dreamed possible. PPBC truly empowered me to transform my life.

Life changing experience 5 Star Rating - World class

Don't believe the (very few) negative comments...this program is outstanding! It is going to challenge your mind, your body and your soul and you need to be open to it to get the best results. The owner is a busy business woman but she keeps tabs on her clients and any time I needed to speak to her, she made herself available to me and took my feedback very seriously. Watch out if she teaches a class or even worse (better?) JOINS in a class because she is in your face or next to you sweating, yelling, pushing you to reach your goals! An excellent trainer and coach!

The instructors are great and they keep you motivated, keep the classes active, and keep you vested in the whole grueling one hour work out. If you are standing around (yes the classes can be crowded), then that is your fault! There is so much to do here in the loft space and the clever use of all the obstacles, the weights, canteens, boxes, tires, walls, sand bags, keeps your fitness efforts diverse and entertaining.

This is the BEST use of my time and money and I am glad I found it.

Pros: owner, personal attention, obstacle course and range of workout activities

Lose the weight... and KEEP IT OFF! 5 Star Rating - World class

For as long as I can remember Ive struggled with my weight and the motivation to do something about it, I was well over 250lbs and still stuffing my face with those comfort foods. One day I was walking by a car and the sweaty fat image that stared back at me was disgusting, and thats when I decided I needed to do something about this, I turned on my TV to the news and saw this woman who was full of energy and positively demonstrating some workout techniques, her energy was so motivating that I went online to get the name of her boot camp.

I signed up with Pure Power Boot Camp that same day and met with Lauren, I let her know that I have never done any type of workout program in my life and that I was very nervous, but Lauren convinced me that I didnt have to be an athlete to join her Boot camp and she gave me the confidence and motivation I needed to not only come to all of my sessions, Ive also lost over 50lbs and am keeping it off. Ive complete the program and signed up for another Tour of Duty.

Its been a year and Ive kept the weight off by practicing a healthy life style which includes a healthy diet, exercise and I know I wouldnt have been able to keep it off if it wasnt for the positive thinking and motivation that was given to my Lauren at Pure Power Boot Camp.

Pros: Motivating Trainers, Awesome Concept, Lifestyle change

Best Decision I've ever made 5 Star Rating - World class

I sat contemplating for 2 years, I needed to get rid of my weight but felt insecure about the "gym thing". I became so depressed i decided to find something that would get me moving... I used citysearch and looked up Gyms around my job and lo and behold, I found Pure Power Boot Camp. What have I got to lose? I decided to ring and Lauren was very understanding in a non judgmental way. I came down to the Boot Camp and watched a class. It was amazing! Just the right atmosphere I was looking for.. no cheating (GREAT!). I'll never regret it. I've been there 4 weeks and lost 1 size and 8lbs! Also met cool people
Cheers!

Pros: Great Trainers, Comfortable Atmosphere
Cons: I have to actually work out (!)
