I took my GMAT course in January and February and had George as instructor. This course was very helpful for me and teacher's explanation were thorough and helpful. He also did not rush out after the class, but continued to answer questions from the students until everyone was happy. Both the course location and the provided materials were good as well. Overall I had a very good experience with Manhattan Review, and most importantly, I was able to score over 700 points on the test, which was my goal in the first place.

George has been a terrific instructor. I was able to achieve a desired result in both the writing and the multiple choice sections and I would not have been without his advice on how to approach both sections.

Manhattan Review did an excellent job preparing me for the GMAT. The 1-on1 instruction allowed me to learn at my own pace was very important to me. I am nearly assured of my success because of this training.

Last Saturday I had my GMAT appointment and scored an unbelievable (at least for me) 760! I am very satisfied and will recommend this to others.

I primarily wanted a verbal private instructor. Manhattan Review introduced me to George. He delivered very good instruction ? he was extremely smart, articulate, and cerebral.

This place is godawful. I took a class with these idiots last semester, when they were still called ""Manhattan Review."" The teachers are barely competent. Their books are terrible -- they don't even bother to edit them.

If you are worried about your test scores, go to a real program that will help. Don't waste your money on these guys -- even at a discount, it is still a ripoff.

If you are considering grad school and you are going to take the GRE you should def. go to Manhattan Review. I mean they give you unlimited class time and the teachers are great. Just as an example I recently completed Manhattan Review's GRE course and I took the test and earned a score of 1200 (600 verbal, 600 quantitative). I also think that I did very well on the essay portion of the test as well but haven't received the scores yet.

The instructors at Manhattan Review were great and I highly recommend them for any higher education learning. By the way I got a 1050 the first time I took the GRE.

I primarily wanted a verbal private instructor. I got George. He delivered very good instructions and he was extremely smart, articulate, and cerebral. He understood the questions and was able to explain concepts, such as how to approach critical reasoning and reading comprehension, both clearly and accurately. I would not have scored in the top 8% of GMAT students on the verbal section if it wasnt for Georges help.

I have never had such terrible service in my life. When I came in for the class they didnt even give me my books and later blamed me for not asking for something I didnt know I was supposed to recieve.

The teacher taught the most basic math skills with no consideration for the time constraints. Also I was only given about 30 problems of homework to do for the whole week leaving me really confused how anyone could possibly be prepared for the test if they went to these courses.

Really dont even consider these guys they are are awful and you guaranteed to regret paying $1000 + that is non refundable.

Pros: Lots of experience

I used both of their TOEFL and GMAT private tutors. I originally came from Russia. All the people I have met at Manhattan Review were super nice! They really helped me gain my confidence in acing those two tests one by one. I did score well in the end too. Since then I have recommended them to two of my friends! Sometimes they get really busy and may have a hard time scheduling you. But as long as you work things out with them, it is worth the wait and the money. Go to their info sessions..the guy running it is really great! Knowledgeable and no air of arrogance.

Pros: Execellent Private Tutors

Cons: Payment System

I wouldn't put even one star!
I signed up for one type of classes , they offered me another for the same price because they couldn't provide what they write . I agreed , because i had GMAT coming up soon.
online classes , well most of them didn't happen because the tutor didn't have internet , or was struggling to get into NY cafe to get some internet for classes. :O
imagine noise we heard instead of her voice.!!! Things like that happened not just once.
Guess what. Tutor is scam , he tried to contact me via voice messages , so later on they wouldn't refund me what i payed them .
Now I try to get my money back , so far no luck .
Not professional !
Please pass the msg to everyone !!! You will loose your money , and no use!

Beware of scam that passes for Manhattan Review. This company cancels classes right left and center, and provides terrible lesson booklets and uses horrible instructors who have no idea what gmat is about. The chinese guy I had could not communicate in English and was pathetic. Do not be cheated. Stay away from manhattan review gmat prep.

If you need to take the GMAT and need a good place to help you prepare for the test, then I would call them because they have great teachers who really work with you one on one and help you get over the fear of test taking.

I really don't know why anyone would go anywhere else. This test prep place has it all. Smaller classes, fun and enthusiastic and totally knowledgeable instructors, and a boutique-style setting that caters to the student. It's definitely not a place that just tries to get as many students as possible. As a student you feel like they attend to you as much as you need them to. You can study individually in their study room without anyone bothering you, you can make up classes you miss, they basically just want you to do well. I give them an A+ and because of their help I got a great score on the GMAT. 710 baby!!!

This is an awesome company. I took a 6-week course that really helped me get the score I needed to go to my dream school, which if you couldn't tell, was Chicago. The environment's really nice, and easy to get to because it's right by Grand Central, and the atmosphere was really good. I had a class of about 8 or 9 people which was great because then we all got the individual attention that we needed. The instructors were amazing, and there was one for math and one for verbal so that each person was definitely an expert in the area they were teaching. I really like the math instructor who was very personable and engaging. The one person from the class I kept in touch with got a 760, which I think is amazing, though I didn't do too shabby myself (740). The cost is pretty normal for all GMAT courses in NYC but I definitely think it was worth it esepecially since I think my GMAT was an integral part of why I got in Chicago.

Cons: Building security is tight, so get there a little early each time.

More about Manhattan Review

Manhattan Review is a boutique test preparation company offering GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, and TOEFL preparation courses and private tutoring in many locations in the US and worldwide, both in-person and online. Manhattan Review also offers admissions consulting and application advisory services for top business schools, graduate programs and colleges. Manhattan Review's origin can be traced directly to an Ivy-League MBA classroom in 1999. While lecturing on quantitative subjects to MBAs at Columbia Business School in New York City, Prof Dr Joern Meissner was asked by his students to assist their friends, who were frustrated with conventional GMAT preparation options. He started to create original lectures that focused on presenting the GMAT content in a coherent and concise manner rather than a download of voluminous basic knowledge interspersed with so-called "tricks". The new approach immediately proved highly popular with GMAT students, inspiring the birth of Manhattan Review. Over the past 15+ years, Manhattan Review has grown into a multi-national firm, focusing on GMAT, GRE, LSAT, SAT, and TOEFL test prep and tutoring, along with business school, graduate school and college admissions consulting, application advisory and essay editing services. Our mission is simple: provide the very best support for applicants to get into dream schools and further their careers!
