One of the worst restaurants in Philadelphia! So I wanted to do a test run of the restaurant because I had planned to have my B-day party there however I was happy that I went before I spent my $500 for there bottle service. The food was absolutely horrible how can you mess up mash potatoes ??? The waitress was nice but maybe she should choose another occupation, she didn??t get our drinks right, couldn??t give us any helpful suggestions for the menu, my guess is she hates he food too. To top it off they charge 18% gratuity now I don??t mind if the service is excellent and the food is good but it wasn??t worth it. The only up side to the place is that its looks nice inside, but everything that glitters is not gold! Don??t waits your time or money !

Went there on Saturday for a 40th Birthday Party, a group of 17. Wish I would have read the reviews prior. The staff was fair, the drinks were pretty good but the food was AWFUL! We had Filet Mignon that had absolutely no taste except for the demi glaze that was on the steak. It was accompanied by what I can only describe as mashed potatoes from a box....dont waste your time or money.

NOT WORTH IT! Staff was so rude! Prices are outrageous and the waitress was horrible, bartenders were rude. The DJ was nothing special. We paid $100 for 7 shots of patron. We could have bought 2 bottles for that price. Soo not worth it!

Let's talk about the worst place in Philly to hang out it has to be Bleu Martini...We went last night 12/14/2010 to celebrate our friends 40th birthday, needless to say the place was empty it was our party of 8 plus a few stragglers, when we asked if they had any drink specials the rude bartender threw the drink menu right in front of us - no specials just overpriced drinks. The food was down right awful the worst sushi I have ever tasted (they need to take it off the menu). Throughout the night the bartenders rudeness got worse and worse, she was literally sucking her teeth and rolling her eyes (I mean the fact that they atomatically tag on an 18% grat on every single overpriced drink - she could have been a whole lot more hospitable.) I am an HR Manager in the hospitality field and I don't know if the staff at Bleu Martini undergoes any guest service training but they really should...After dropping more than $200 on appetizer and drinks for 2 (including the impsed grat) I was needless to say upset and dissatified....don't make your customers pay an imposed grat if your staff sucks!!!

This place was HORRIBLE..if you plan on having a bachelorette celebration there DON'T do it. We got the package that included 2 hours of top shelf drinks, appetizers, and a bottle of champagne. We also received a table which was reserved for us when we got there. Our server, Tina, was awesome..I told her we were spending a lot of money in there and if she took good care of us she would be tipped nicely..which she was! We got a good table..after the 2 hours was up our free drinks ended..but we continued to buy drinks at the bar and dance. Next thing we know a server came up to our table and said you guys have to move and we said why we had a reserved table. She said you had the table for 2 hours your 2 hours is up!! She started clearing the table of all our drinks..taking the drinks we had just purchased. My camera disappeared, one of the others girls cigarettes were thrown away. We said to her we want to speak to a manager and she said I am a manager. We were herded downstairs like cattle to some weird room with horrible decor..NOBODY was down there just the girls from our party..I spoke to another manager and freaked out on him! We got 1 free round of drinks..I spent the last 30 minutes crawling around the floor looking for my camera at our previous table..to say the least I was extremely upset! I called today and asked if a camera was found and was rudely told no, the camera from last night? We don't have it! Don't go that place..the staff suck..they are a bunch of arrogant college kids who think they know how to do business!! Stay away!

This place is the absolute worst!!! Rudest and most arrogant bar staff, hostess, doorman, management, kitchen staff anywhere (except for the bathroom attendant Naomi who is a doll). They have no idea how to treat a paying customer. The food is horrible and somehow, even the waaaaaay overpriced drinks are just bad. Martini's went out about 8 years ago guys. Get with it! The decor is disgusting 80's flashback crap and everything in the place is dirty and sticky. Yuck!!! What's with the "Reserved" signs on every table when you walk in the door??? Especially during happy hour on a weeknight when the place is empty?!?!? Are you trying to impress us, or just trying to chase everyone away? Who do you have to be to get a table here? Scarface??? Do yourself a huge favor and stay far, far, far away from this place. Spread the word. Maybe if we all steer clear, they'll go out of business and we'll be rid of this garbage dump. Good riddance!!! We don't need your thug arrogance in Philly!!!!!

We went here to start off the night for a bachelorette party and I heavily regret it. We ordered bottle service upon arrival and were kindly seated at the VIP area, since it was early enough and not crowded. Although our server, Jackie, was very nice, she was overshadowed by the other servers and "VIP manager," who was essentially a glorified bouncer on a fun-wrecking mission.

We kept getting reseated by another server for no apparent reason, other than to make room for guests who weren't there yet until 8 of us were squeezed into a space for about 4 (not that there's a lot of room to begin with). Then, once our bachelorette started dancing in our area, the "VIP manager" repeatedly told her that she needed to sit down and that she was blocking other patrons. She started talking to the other patrons to ask if they minded if she danced (and of course, they said no) and then the "VIP manager" came over again and told her to stop interrupting his patrons! I had to explain to him that they were just talking (there was obviously no aggression expressed between any patrons) and also to come to me with any problems, not our guest of honor! After the "VIP manager" approached us a few more times and the other server told us that we weren't ordering enough bottles fast enough (we ordered about 2 in the span of an hour), the general manager came over to ask what the problem was. She was understanding and said she would have a talk with the "VIP manager," but by that point we'd had enough.

Stay away from this place if you want to dance, have a good time and enjoy quality service. It seems as though this place is only for the friends of those who work there.

Bleu Martini is a nice place to go for a night out on the town. They usually draw a nice and friendly crowd. Drinks are priced reasonably and they usually have good music. it can be a hit or miss location some nights are much busier than others and you never know who you might bump into.

Bleu Martini is a very nice place to enjoy a drink. I would describe it as posh and somwhat elegant. The bar usually attracts an older audience than the normal old city bars and that is probably because a drink is easily over $10. However, they are good drinks and the service is good. If you can afford to sit down and eat as well, the food isn't bad. Overall it is a nice lounge, but very costly and not the typical college bar. As a broke college student, I'll be down the street at Mad River drinking with the rest of my scantily clad peers.

So we went to 2 places b/f going here but those places did not have Coors Light so we left, but Blue Martini did so we stayed. We got dinner. I got thefilet & my b/f got a huge burger. The food's presentation was beautiful. The waitress Amanda besides being very pretty, was very attentive without being annoying. I got a martini & for $10 it was well worth the price. They put alot of liquor in them you can def. taste it. I wanted a specific drink & could not rem. the 1 ingredient so our waitress was like i'll check with the bartender & they easily figured it out, yeah! Dinner for 2, 2 beers, 1 martini & a vodka drink was $98.85 plus a $20.00 tip. I like the dark setting with blue lights. I would def. go again during the week. The only reason I did nto give it 5 stars was b/c of the shot girl making her way around the room and two our table twice asking if we wanted to buy shots from a tube. That was tacky. I recommend this place especially for dinner.

Had a great night in old city two weeks ago! Had been to Bleu Martini in the past but not in a while so we decided to stop in. The place was packed with smoking hot girls with curves, just the way I like so we decided to ball out and get a bottle and try to get some of those girls to party with us.

It worked we went back to VIP and partyed like rock stars and my party of 4 dudes all either got number or were making out with a girl all nite. I never knew they had a downstairs VIP which was really nice as well. The bottles were priced well, starting at 150 which isnt bad, I payed 480 once for a bottle of kettle 1 in Vegas.

The bottle server, Jill or Jess was great, very sexy and fun to hangout with. I met one of the managers, Audie, a tall guy with a high and tight who was mad cool. He was very helpful and brought us the girls into VIP that we ended up spending the night with.

Overall Great night! Will be back soon!

I made a reservation at Bleu Martini for my sister's bachelorette party this past Saturday. We rented a limo to take us (since we are an hour and a half away). We had a party of 16 people. The place was not what I thought it would be at all! They took us to our table and it was a tiny little room with couches and stupid little tables that were in the way. The place was so small, there was no room to dance or even move. You basically could only talk to the person that was sitting/standing next to you. The lady I made the reservation with said there was a dance floor but I sure didn't see one! The waitress came over and took our drink order, but it took her FOREVER to bring us the drinks!! People didn't want to wait any more (after already waiting 20 minutes) so they just kept going up to the bar to get their own drinks. Then my sister (the bachelorette) stumbled on the side walk outside and the bouncers would not even let her back in! We were planning on leaving anyway since we all hated the place. So after being there for 45 minutes or an hour, we left. It was a horrible experience and a waste of time. We had way more fun in the limo! The only recommendation I would make, is to find another place to go to in Philly!

Ok. The female staff is exactly who I want to be serving me. I've been to this place many times and its best to buy yourself a bottle on the weekends. The girls just love to pile up back there while the rest of the place remains shoulder to shoulder crowded.

I was so excited to be back in Philadelphia. My first weekend a friend and I decided to hit up 2nd street, our mistake was walking in Blue Martini. Both my friend and I were drugged after the whole big ordeal I was telling a friend who used to work there when she informed me that the place was known for it. So watch your drinks, better yet don't go there.

This is a great place to start out a night of lounge hopping when you don't have any real plans. It's free to get in, always full of people, and the dj is loud and energetic if nothing else.

Drinks are pretty pricey, probably to make up for not charging for entry, but this is definitely a good Old City pit stop.

Last Saturday we entered Blue Martini at 10pm with a group of white girls celebrating a birthday bash. Me and 4 other black females left at 12pm for another birthday party promising to return in 10 minutes. The inside staff said ok. OUtside new bouncers said no. The sad thing is the AFrican at the door didn't let Black people in. The white bouncer was too scared to tell him that was wrong. He only lets African's and White people in after 12 claiming he met the quota. All my white friends were in rage so they came outside to see what happened. He went on to curse them out and said they can leave. Not only did this happen to us it happened to 10 other black people. One black guy got arrested for taking a camera phone picture of the staff. The bouncer took his phone and kicked it across the street. Completely ridiculous. I have pictures of this all on my handy dandy Digital camera. I'm reporting the Police who stood by to watch, and the Bouncer. BLACK / WHITE/ EVERYoNE do not go here. Just like the private pool case .BLUE MARTINI is going down.

went there with 5 of my girlfriends for dinner tonight, just got back, so horrible i had to immediately give a bad review. it was the WORST service i have ever experienced. i am not one to complain but we waited over an hour and a half for our food. took the waitress 10 minutes to even say hello to us. drinks took forever, getting the check took a half hour. we talked to the "manager" repeatedly to no avail, finally after the 4th or 5th time, free drinks, which we deserved. then they give us the bill, which they split into TWO bills for some reason, charging us 18% gratuity (which is added to ALL bills) TWICE. then i tried to ask the "manager"/hostess why it was split and that it was totaled wrong, and she argued with me. finally to appease me they added both bills onto one, charging me AGAIN, the 18% gratuity TWICE. i was livid. we paid and left, noticing that people who got there after us at 8:30 still hadnt gotten their food, and this was 11:15 pm... I will NEVER return there and encourage you not to go. OH YEAH, and they charged me 50$ to keep the reservation. thaaaanks

went there with 5 of my girlfriends for dinner tonight, just got back, so horrible i had to immediately give a bad review. it was the WORST service i have ever experienced. i am not one to complain but we waited over an hour and a half for our food. took the waitress 10 minutes to even say hello to us. drinks took forever, getting the check took a half hour. we talked to the "manager" repeatedly to no avail, finally after the 4th or 5th time, free drinks, which we deserved. then they give us the bill, which they split into TWO bills for some reason, charging us 18% gratuity (which is added to ALL bills) TWICE. then i tried to ask the "manager"/hostess why it was split and that it was totaled wrong, and she argued with me. finally to appease me they added both bills onto one, charging me AGAIN, the 18% gratuity TWICE. i was livid. we paid and left, noticing that people who got there after us at 8:30 still hadnt gotten their food, and this was 11:15 pm... I will NEVER return there and encourage you not to go. OH YEAH, and they charged me 50$ to keep the reservation. thaaaanks

.

Went here couple of times. One time it was not even half full, barely anyone there. Great music though!!!
Another time it was too packed, no room to dance nor sit. Still, great music but no room. Some girl got trashed, threw up everywhere and touched me with her gross hands :OOO. it was awful.
Trendy but small place. They need to remove the tables after music starts so they can make it more dance-club-like.

Pros: Good DJ, old school+new school+hip hop remixed

Cons: severs in the bathroom creep me out, parking, line to go in is way long

.

Drinks were good, but food was cold and under cooked. Drinks were great! Bathroom was filthy, bouncers were pushy, wait staff never gets around to the tables. Won't go there again.

I went to Blue Martini with 3 friends on a Saturday night and was treated so disrespectfully I'll never go back. We were yelled at by three different bouncers for standing in line for the bar. The only place you could actually stand and not get yelled at was in the bathroom!

We got thrown out before we could even get a drink for standing in the "walkway". Who the hell is managing this place??? Your bouncers are running a sh*t show.

Never go there the girl Jenna with blonde hair is the worst worker, she was rude and spilled a drink on me and did not even apologize. That place will go out of business having someone like that working there.

If you are Caucasion, do not go here. Several of us went here for a bachelor party and we were thrown out by the 2 big dumb African American bouncers. I do not dislike other races, by no means but the first big dumb bouncer told us we weren't allowed to stand in the walk way. So we listened to him and found some place else to stand. Evidently, we were standing in another walk way. We listened to the retards again and found some place else to stand. As we were making our way to another spot, the steroid taking African American bouncer pushed me into my friend and cussed at us and told us to move. I turned back to him and said that we are trying to move but there were other African's dancing in the so-called "walk way" but the bouncer alowed them. So he eventually pushed us to the front of the bar where we found a spot for about 2 minutes. Then the short and fat African bouncer told us we can't stand there. At this time, we were annoyed and simply asked him where can we stand. Maybe he didn't understand our politeness and maybe he only spoke ebonics? I don't know. But he cussed at us and told us to leave. We asked why and he just pushed us out the door. My friend tried to go back in and give the fat bouncer a peice of his mind but I convinced him to not waste his time. Those guys are bouncers because they can't make themselves into anhything better than that. They will continue to be fat and make $6.00 and hour because that's all they know how to do.

I am glad I do not live in Philly. I would be embarrased to tell anyone I lived in Philly because it's so dirty. This is why everyone else in PA considers Philly as a "whole other state"

This place is so pompous and up-tight for a crappy little martini bar. We grabbed a table that suddenly became reserved after we sat, then were forced to go with the hostess to find another one and then were directed back to the original table we were at and told that we had one hour before the party was going to arrive. We had already bought drinks at the bar, but were planning on ordering more. The waitress asked us twice if we were ready and I told her that as soon as my two friends returned from the restroom, we'd order another round. She gave us a dirty look and then we were told by the hostess that the party was arriving and we would have to move, but we had only been sitting for 20 minutes. Gimme a break sweetheart, not everybody wants to buy an overpriced bottle of liquor just to sit at a table. That doesn't mean we won't buy a heck of lot more and leave a great tip. The place was way too small and way too loud. I was offended by the treatment and won't be back.

i made an early reservation on a friday evening and arrived at the restaurant slightly before the scheduled time. i was seated next to my friend at a table the size of a pizza and was told we had to sit right next to each other, since all the other tables with seating for two had been reserved. we explained that we too had made a reservation, so could we please sit at a table with two chairs? the hostess told us that "like, the computer made the seating arrangements, so there was really nothing i could do." side note: we were the only two people in the restaurant. our options were to share a plush bench wide enough for 1.5 people at an immovable table equipped to hold a saucer and maybe one drink or leave. does the computer run the whole restaurant? we did not stay to find out

i've been here twice...the first time was with a bunch of friends..and we took over a corner of the bar and made it a dance floor...the second time was with a girlfriend for a drink and food before salsa dancing. both times i enjoyed myself...and the bleu martini and the flirtini...but i wish there was more space for dancing, because the music was good. but with no cover i will definately return for the drinks and the atmosphere.

I went to Bleu Martini for one of their Wednesday charity happy hours with my friends and after each trying a different martini, we ended up ordering food. The food was really good and we had a great time. I highly recommend checking out Bleu Martini if you have not already been there.

I absolutely loved Bleu Martini, and that's alot coming from someone as picky as me. My friends and I usually do the Rittenhouse scene on the weekends, but we decided to switch it up for a change, and headed down to Old City. Everyone at Bleu is nice as hell - from the bouncer to our waitress, they made sure we were well taken care of. It wasn't too crowded, but definitely a good amount of people. Loved, loved, loved the flirtini drink w/champagne. I loved the flat screen tv's allowing me to watch reruns of My Super Sweet Sixteen while listening to Beyonce in the background! The spring rolls were great. Did I mention I loved the flirtini?

We had a terrible experience at bleu martini. For starters, it cost way too much to get in when they were not even busy. Second, unless you are lucky enough to get a seat at the bar, there is no comfortable room to stand. But the worst part about the place is how rude and disrespectful their staff is. The bouncers talk down to you and the servers ignore you. A total disappointment and waste of time.

Drinks are not strong at all. I have the same drinks at other places and they test better. Food is not good at all. horrible. I requested for medium Burger but i got warm burned burger instead. Sushi was poor quality. hardly anything in it I see only rice. the waitress spilled soysauce all over sushi so it was salty and soaked sushi. will not go there againl. food is over priced.

I came here with people who go here all the time... and was entertained, but not in a good way. Jersey all the way. Whoever decorated it is probably on coke... soooo tacky. Everyone here thinks they are really cool, but there is nothing to back it up. No shortage of hair gel and gross men. You might like it if you have low standards.

I went to Bleu Martini last night and was thoroughly disappointed. Everything from its pretentious name to its poor service reeks of mediocrity.

Drinks are poor and overly priced. It is too narrow and cramped--impossible to move around!

And there is TV advertising mounted from the ceiling!!!

Avoid like the plague.

A native of Philadelphia, I now live in Chicago but I make it a point to try out the chic new restaurant/bars of olde city everytime I come back home. I went to Bleu Martini in early '03 and found the food to be average and the drinks to be pricey, but the hot crowd made it a must-do on my return in early '04. To my surprise the menu is completely different - the selection seems to have tripled, going from bar-food to sexy fusion cuisine. The sushi was awesome and the crabcake entree was the best I have ever had. My date had the ribeye which was also very good.

As always the wait staff was friendly, helpful and hot, hot, hot! I only wish I had gone there without a date.

Me and about 4 friends went after thanksgiving and had a great time. Good misuc, nice atmosphere, pretty attractive people. The bouncer at the door was really cool, but maybe becuase it was only moderatly full when we got there. By the end of the night it was packed. Thats the problem with all the old city places they are all kinda small, but it is decently sized. The drinks did take a little ong, but the waitress was very cool, and didnt mind us dancing in middle of the walkway.

Bleu martini was our 3rd & final stop which started @ 9pm on a Thursday nite. The hostess, servers and bartenders were honeys. The waitress will accomadetae you to a dance if your any good. The Sushi was the best I've encountered. Now I did enjoy a few martinis w/ olives prior to the eats. But, I've done the same @ Morimoto, Budhakhan and I must say the food was phenom.
Upscale? Maybe, I did see a few suits in the place. One suit even made the walkway a dance floor and the crowd enjoyed themselves by this entertainment. The women & guys there are nothing to sneeze at. WIll go again w/ friends.

Pretty Bland
This place was really bland, the food was pub grub, the beer was extremely remedial and the service was slow. This neighborhood may be trying to get gentrified but the bar is not there yet, they've got some work to do in order to be best of philly.

A long time friend and I decided to explore our relationship to new and higher levels. And with me wanting to impress her and go somewhere out of the norm (i.e. Olive Garden). I decided to take her to the Bleu Martini, the staff made our first official date one to remember. It was on a Monday, so it was not crowded @ all. The food & atmosphere was excellent!
