The entire process was great. From a repair of my A/C to improving the energy efficiency of my house. They were fair and honest and did all they could to make me happy. And they came on time as promised!!!

Horrific service, run FAST from this company! They over-promise, and under-deliver.

Learn from my experience, and don't waste your money. A few of the low-lights:

1. They promised 1-day installation. They actually took 3 days over the course of a week to finish the job, and I had to call several times to get them to come finish!

2. They promised professional installation, but they left construction debris in my ductwork, and didn't get the permits required by the city!

3. They charged me $900 for a part they didn't install, and it took two months of constant calling to get a refund!

4. I got financing through HousePro, but unfortunately had already given them my credit card number. They charged my card for the full amount (BEFORE the job was even complete!) and then they charged me AGAIN through the finance company. After several months, and no response from HousePro, I had to hire an attorney to get the double-charge refunded.

I called and sent a letter to Murray Kaiman, the President of HousePro, to resolve the problems professionally. He didn't care. In fact, his excuse for holding my money was that the winter is HousePro's slow season, and HousePro is short on cash!

A company should NOT pay for its operations by taking money from its customers through false charges (charges for parts not installed, and double-billing for the same job). They held on to thousands of my dollars, without cause, until I threatened to sue them.

Don't be the next victim! Do yourself a favor, and please use someone else.

As good as it gets falls way short of the way house pro has come through for my family and me. They found my inlet plenum had a hole in it and had actually fallen from it's mount causing 80%-90% of my cooling to be going straight to the attic. They explained to me how this could happen and when I was not satisfied with the response I received a phone call directly from the owner of the company letting me know that because we have been an ongoing customer for service and repair that he was going to resolve this for us at no charge. I have to be honest and say I was waiting for the catch, and there was none. The technicians came out first thing the next morning to repair this issue, and had it done with complete professionalism and complete mastery of their task. This was handled way above my expectations and oh yeah by the way the phone call from the owner came at 6:30 as technician deemed it necessary to escalate to him immediately to find a resolution to my problem. I don't remember the last time this happened to me, but I do know it has been way too long. This is the way businesses should do business, making the customer first and rewarding loyalty. It is the way it used to be and I'm so glad that there's at least one company that has not given up on the true meaning of customer satisfaction.

This was the second unit Housepro installed for us and they did a tremendous job. Murray, the Housepro salesman did a great job from the scope to execution process. He was easy to work with and the amount of extra detail that we received during installation is exactly what you want to look for in an A/C company.

I have a home warranty with First American Home Warranty. They had HousePro send out one of the most unprofessional technicians to my home when my air conditioning went out. The Condenser went out and the cause was a simple part (capacitor). He first tried to say the unit failed completely and had to have a complete maintenance service before he could even start working on it and diagnose the real problem. He fought with my wife before she called me. Talked down to us and tried to intimidate us into buying their worthless service plan that does not cover anything that anyone cannot do themselves. I almost broke down and just paid him to do the unnecessary maintenance until I carefully read my contract and found that it was covered and he had to fix the unit and since he said the maintenance was required to fix it he had to do that too. \n\nBe extremely careful dealing with these guys. They will try to take advantage of you if the can. If you have a home warranty they only use the calls to sell other products and services.

The technician was very nice and took the time to explain the problems he found and what he was doing. He also recommended that we service both AC units, which we agreed to do in hopes that we do not continue to have these recurring problems with the system so that it will save us and AHS money.

I contacted my home warranty and the first time they assigned my work order to a contractor who didn't even bother to call me. When I called the warranty company back, they reasigned the work order and that same day I was contacted by HousePro to schedule the service call. Charles from HousePro came out at the scheduled time the very next day and quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I am very pleased with the response time, professionalism as well as the quality of work that HousePro demonstrated.\n\nMy home warranty would not cover 100% of the cost of the replacement part. So I paid him $250 for the new thermostat in addition to my $55 co-pay. \n\nSeveral months later, my other thermostat goes out and I call First American to make a claim, whereupon they inform me that ""thermostats are covered under my policy."" Suddenly, I realize that the stupid jerk House Pros sent defrauded me. He charged both me $250 and First American as well. Double dipped so to speak. First American reported House Pro to their Fraud division. I called House Pro and demanded refund of my $250, which they did within 4 days. They also informed me they had fired this particular contractor who had been apparently lying to customers.\n\nI also note that they encourage their contractors to try to push a ""maintenance contract"" on you at a ridiculous cost, by scaring you into believing that if you don't get one through them and something major goes wrong with your AC, you won't be covered.\n\nNow, thanks to these fraudulent jerks at House Pros, I always call an independent AC contractor to get an opinion on what is wrong with my AC first. It costs me $65, but at least when House Pros shows up again, I know exactly what is wrong and whether it is covered by my home warranty.\n\nIf you have a choice, do NOT use House Pros.

Made a TON of noise. I asked him to fix it and he said that the new motor with the old fan is what is causing the noise, and that wasn't covered. I did not accept that answer, so he went back up and discovered that he did not align the fan correctly and that it was his rushing that caused the problem. Wouldn't call them back out if they were the last AC company in Houston.

a team of installers finished replacing my condensor unit last week... and I must say the entire process was smooth and well done! and most importantly i am now cooling properly!! one of the installers forgot to install some grills in the upstairs, so the next day a manager stopped by to install it. Good follow up work! very happy.

I just got a new energy bill and it seems to have done the trick. Made me want to give them props on helping me. Thanks House Pro !

Second, my daughter contacted her home warranty company regarding an air conditioning problem and they sent House Pro to fix. Repairman showed up and said, ""I don't have the tools to check the AC"" will come back Monday! Came back Monday, said coil is bad, we need to order it. Takes a few days. 4 days later my daughter calls and they say it was not ordered, home warranty co. needs to order! Call them and they said contractor must. Took two weeks, got both on conference call, finally contractor is supposed to order. On Tuesday 19 days since first call, said part would be in Friday, called back next day to say oops, we mean Saturday. \nCame out on Saturday 22 days since call and said blower is broken (it was working before they started working on unit) and they have to call warranty company on Monday to fix. Called House Pro office and told them they need to fix it today. Lady on phone said, well, even if we did fix the blower, we did not get all of the parts for the coil!! They were telling us we needed a blower instead of telling us they did not order all they needed. Total idiots. Girl became frustrated when daughter pointed it out to her. \nDaughter called warranty company and they said, ""they know we are open today (Saturday)!"" Warranty company called them and gave them approval. \nThese guys break things, lie, lie again, lie to cover the lie. What a crock. Their good reviews come from their relatives or employees or the owner himself.

On Tuesday 19 days since first call, said part would be in Friday, called back next day to say oops, we mean Saturday. \nCame out on Saturday 22 days since call and said blower is broken (it was working before they started working on unit) and they have to call warranty company on Monday to fix. Called House Pro office and told them they need to fix it today. Lady on phone said, well, even if we did fix the blower, we did not get all of the parts for the coil!! They were telling us we needed a blower instead of telling us they did not order all they needed. Total idiots. Girl became frustrated when daughter pointed it out to her. \nDaughter called warranty company and they said, ""they know we are open today (Saturday)!"" Warranty company called them and gave them approval. \nThese guys break things, lie, lie again, lie to cover the lie. What a crock. Their good reviews come from their relatives or employees or the owner himself.

And truly cared about giving me good service. I never bother to write a review like most people. But felt it was much merited. I absolutely recommend them.

They know how to take care of your problems, the real issue is the home warranty companies that dont want to pay for anything, and people who always want something for nothing that is not the A/C companies problem. I would definetly suggest this company to anyone. Also every technician I have came in contact with over my 2 yrs with them has done a great job.

I made a service call in the middle of May and now it's allmost July and I still don't have my ac unit replaced. Neither company really wants to take any iniative or responsibility. I've been very patient....I sincererly don't know how either of these 2 companies stay in business! And this is still unresolved. They make me sick. I want to fire everyone.

How many times House Pro has been to my residence I don't know, but I have had to be personally involved in every single one of their visits to make sure the problems are rectified. They have rarely fixed the root cause of the problems, only treated symptoms, like clogged drains, for example. This means I have to call them back repeatedly for the same problem. Their technicians are all of differing skill levels and attitudes, which means you better hope you get a good one. Also, NEVER sign a maintenance agreement with them because it's worthless. They say they offer 10% discount on parts and labor and 24 hour service, but the 10% ends up being meaningless because of all the calls due to irregular service, and the ""24 hour service"" part of it applies to everyone who calls. It's frankly, a scam. Oh, and if you let them do a diagnosis on your home, expect to fail. This way they can replace everything you have with brand new equipment...which isn't covered in their service agreement either. Go figure.

I had House Pro inspect the HVAC contractor that my builder chose. I had them inspect my house during construction to insure quality of install and proper equipment sizing. The service tech arrived on time and was very professional and polite. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail. He even made some recommendations on other issues that I had not originally thought of. I was very pleased with the House Pro staff and service.
