4 Stars: Out of towners love this place!! (by Bn2bwld)

As a straight guy I was skeptical of going to a gender illusionist bar. It turned out to great! The drinks are strong and they keep coming. I had friends from Orange County and the girls LOVED IT!! Favorite part of the night... A group of my LA girls asking the dancer where did you get that great wig? "Wig!? This is my real hair!!" HAHA!! Loved the whole night!

5 Stars: So Fun!!! (by JennG)

I went to Asia SF for my little sister's 21st birthday and had a BLAST! The entertainment was so much fun to watch and my sister had the time of her life, which is exactly what we wanted. It was a good chance to drink all those girly cocktails we know we all love. We ordered several rounds of a shot called the Hello Kitty which was vodka mixed with a liqueur called Ty Ku. We kept ordering it to watch the bartender pick up the bottle cause it lit up!

Asia was a great venue for a fun girls night out and I highly recommend it!

5 Stars: Welcome to Oz (by Nicholas C.)

So yeah, my first time going to AsiaSF I only heard it was the Asian tranny place, so I didn't quite know what was going on. But once I got inside, I found the place to be amazing. The food is above amazing, and the shows the servers put on are always fun.

5 Stars: An experience to remember (by Jeime B.)

Asian SF is the best place to celebrate any types of parties with closed friends, family and maybe co-workers (if they are cool enough). I had the opportunity to check out this restaurant because my best friend decided to throw a surprise birthday party for me. The food was great and it was quite entertaining!

PROS: Lively place to be and excellent food.

4 Stars: What a blast! (by Debbie C.)

We went here for a bachelorette party - so much fun! The food was excellent, the drinks were delicious and the entertainment was great. This rates as one of the all time fun adventures I've had as a bridesmaid.

5 Stars: Great party atmosphere. (by lanehsho)

I went for a friends birthday party and was not disapointed. We had a rather large party of 15. We did RSVP for more, but some people did not show up, they waived the late cancelation fee for the no shows, which was really great of them. When we arrived we were immediately seated and they promptly took our drink orders. The entire staff was extremely friendly and not bashful at all, even though a few in our party were when they hostess got a little "friendly" with them. The drinks were delicious and the first round of food was braught to us within 10 minutes of being sat. During the appetizers the first 3 ladies went up on stage and entertained us with very entertaining and friendly dancing. Once we were all done with the appetizers they were allready taking a 2nd drink order and bringing out the entree's. The 2nd group of ladies up on stage were just as entertaining as the first.

I would definately recomend visiting if you are looking for a VERY ENTERTAINING party spot. Keep an open mind because the ladies are more then they seem.

4 Stars: Excellent venue for a celebration - watch the costs (by t_girl_dining)

AsiaSF is about San Francisco diversity! This long-time hip spot wows the out-of-towners and satisfies the locals who want to have a good time. This place is a favorite for bachelorette parties - we were a party of 8 - having chosen the Platinum Menu (prix fix - $48/person), the food is tasty, though portions are petite - like most of the wait-staff. House Specialty drinks - named with a lot gusto - are $10, and mixed well. They charged us a cake-cutting fee and 20%-service; so the bill added up by the end of the night. Of course the show is what attracts and I agree, the "girls" beautiful. Afterwords, we headed downstairs for dancing - the DJ was great mixing up old school and the new tunes. AsiaSF is good for a great evening, if you have the 7:30pm seating, parking is not a problem.

5 Stars: Great Food & Beautiful Staff (by jbon562)

As visitors from LA, we wanted something fun & different for dinner. We decided to check out the place, due to a SF Weekly review. The food was well beyond our expectations. We started off with the chicken satay and steak salad; both excellent starters. Our second course was the filet mignon/medium well and salmon/with endame & black rice; great delicious portions. Ending it off with the pineapple cheesecake and banana bignet-AGAIN GREAT FOOD and portion! The show had a good vibe, filled with energy, and beautiful girls. Asia-SF is filled with all-around good service, especially since we were greeted by most of their staff. We can?t wait for the Asia LA to open!!!

1 Stars: If u have $ to burn, go to this place. (by kickin8)

What attracted us was that the VISA dine aroundtown for $31.95 dinner. so we called and made the reservation (and they ask for the credit card to make reservation, which i have never encountered)

Problem is : they never told us about $31.95 deal does not apply to party 4+. so we have to order their so called "package".....$38/$48/$58 per person. so we decided to go with the $48 one as we assumed that $48 per person would give us enough food.

Appertizer came, they gave us 3 places of tuna sashimi (6 pieces per dish), A total of 18 pieces split with 11 people who paid $48 per person ???? That means each of us will have 1.6XX pieces....wow.

So we asked the waiter/waitress (u decide), and the answer we got is "wow, your math is pretty good then!"

for the rest of the plates are the same: extremely small and we need to do the math to split amoung us.

the show is so-so. nothing exciting at all.

the most exciting part is them giving us the check: automatically 20% charge.....

our bill ended up $810 for 11 of us. how exciting !?

I decided to purchase one of their bachelorette packages. We went with Asia SF- Sation package. It was so worth it!!! Noah from perfectpartyplans dot c o m ... help me out and made sure that everything went well. The entertainment was great, the food delicious. Trust me ladies, this is the place to have your or host your bachlorette party! Ask Noah you will not be disappointed!

5 Stars: You'll laugh, drink, and dance the night away!!! (by bien904)

I was the maid of honor and hosted my friend's bachelorette party here. Just having a few weeks before the date we had to plan this, Paul (from perfectpartyplans) did a great job by helping to set up all the schedule and reservations in time. Especially needing to accomadate everyone's costs yet not trying to lack any fun and excitement, AsiaSF made it a perfect place for all the fun at a great deal. Our package included eating dinner at Town's End, limo to AsiaSF for dancing, round of shots, Eden package for the bride, and list of free cover/no line clubs in the area. This is a great number of things we did and we all had a great time.

Service at dinner was wonderful. It was a very fulfiling 3-course meal. Limo ride to Asia was great since we didn't take the short route. Giving us time to have our limo-fun and free spirit drinks. Arriving at Asia was great where we were greeted and host provided excellent service! Dancing at Asia is fun; although the music was not to our taste. The floor is quite small. But the nice bartenders and service is the reason to go.

I would defnitely recommend to come here again, maybe for a birthday party. Although I didn't see the upstiars (dinner floor) with the shows; the bottom floor with dancing and shows were excellent! For this price, dinner + entertainment is definitely worth it!!!!

4 Stars: A good night out, plenty for everyone (by eyewitness)

The food is better than average and given that there is no cover chare for the show, it is reasonably priced. Drinks are good and again well priced. The "girls" are all very attractive and good fun. We will be pleasantly surprised if you were expecting a "clip joint".

5 Stars: pleasantly surprised... (by hopmouse)

A little skeptical about this place before I tried it, but loved it afterwards. Was expecting the food to be unfilling, but it was very tasty and for 35, the prix fixe menu was quite nice. Ended up being stuffed! The show was very fun and I especially loved Trina - she's so sweet! A nice place for a girls night out, or to take your man out to, if he doesn't get skirmish around the "gender illusionists" :)... overall fun and I would go again!

5 Stars: Good food, great fun... and the best Mojito in town! (by amillee)

Recommended by the Banquet Manager at the W (awesome hotel, by the way) - we had a blast. The food was fantastic and I thought very reasonably priced. $38/pp for a 3-course dinner - compared to alot of the meals we ate while in SF, it was more food for the money BY FAR... and delicious! My friend and I shared the Tuna Sashimi and Asia-dilla appetizers followed by the Miso Salmon and Sansho Filet Mignon that melted in your mouth - then had the Warm Chocolate Cake and Pineapple Cheesecake for dessert... every single thing was INCREDIBLE!

Carlos was our bartender, too (I think we sat next to that last reviewer!) - he was great - so personable with everyone - the drinks were YUMMY - my friend had the Pomegranate Mojito, I stuck to the regular Mojito - both were delicious. Carlos was busy busy busy all night, but never too busy to stop and take pictures for customers - and even stop the servers to pose in pictures WITH customers!

Which brings me to the servers... who are also the entertainment... these "gender illusionists" (they don't like the term "drag queen" - apparently there's a difference - oops!) were STUNNINGLY beautiful. They were great dancers with great bodies and kept the crowd involved. I wish I could post pictures here for you!!

Asia SF was fantastic and I will definitely be telling all my friends who visit SF to add it to their MUST DO list!!

5 Stars: a must do for tourists and locals alike (by jretal)

After living here for years and having dined at some of The City's hottest, best, and trendiest eateries we finally found our way to Asia SF. I now regret waiting so long.

The place is fabulous; the food is stellar; our bartender Carlos was on the top of his game and is to be commended. The wine list is a Wine Spectator Best of for six years running now. Most of all the girls were stunning!

Please do yourself a favor and go. A good time will be had by all. And to the negative reviewers that complained about the food pricing; where else in The City can you eat a 3 course meal for $38 and share it with your date? Come on, this is Sf, that is a bargain.

5 Stars: Fun Ambience, Tasty Menage a Trois (by dmwalker7867)

Asia SF never disappoints. I am really suprised to find bad reviews. At around $35 (depending on the night of the week) the "Menage a Trois" menu is exceptionally reasonable and very tasty. I recommend the salmon with miso glaze for an entree and strongly recommend the banana split for two as the dessert. Cocktails are pricey, but the "Pussycat" ought be tried at least once.

5 Stars: A must while visiting! (by anne28star)

I recently went to Asia SF as I was visiting San Francisco (I'm from Philadelphia). I promised to give props to a great bartender there, Carlos, who was very attentive, fun, entertaining, and even gave us a free shot before we left! The entertainment was AWESOME, these "women" were amazing and talented! Although the food was pretty pricey, the food was very good. Only thing was since we were a party of two, we had to sit at the bar. I can see this place being great for a bachlorette party or something like that. Overall, I would def. go there again.

5 Stars: Great place for bachelorette parties! (by cvestrella)

I took my sister here for her bachelorette party and our group had a blast! The food is great. The service was not only hot, but friendly and quick! Noah was great in helping me plan the details of the bachelorette party--he was in constant communication with me through the planning process. He helped me get quotes for a party bus, helped me select the clubs that we were going to after leaving AsiaSF, and he walked us out when our party bus arrived! I don't know how I would have planned everything without Noah's help. AsiaSF's ambience is great for groups looking to having a wild time and especially great for bachelorette parties!

4 Stars: Awesome place for Bachelorette Party! (by sontropv)

Our party of 8 arrived early for our Bachelorette Party so we hung out at the downstairs bar. Drink prices were reasonable ($10) and the bartenders were really sweet. The food is excellent. The menu is set and brought out in courses - the continual entrance of little plates keeps the energy level up. The "waitresses" are beautiful and the "shows" were super fun! The clientele is mostly bachelorette and birthday parties - so everyone is in the mood to party. We had a fabulous time!

I went on A Wednesday night with 5 other women. We all thought it was overprices and the menu was terrible. The service was just OK and a couple of the performers were average. I would never recommend this to anyone. Save your money.

5 Stars: Carlos Lobo: The Best Bartender I've had (by mattshelbourn)

I write reviews often about places I've shopped, things I've seen, restaurants I've eaten at, but nothing compares to Asia SF and one bartender in particular: Carlos Lobo. The man is awesome. Drinks and food were served promptly. We were never dry. He is witty, sharp, moves a mile a minute and kept us completely happy the whole entire FOUR HOUR dinner. My girlfriend and I were incredibly impressed. Thanks a million Asia SF! You haven't seen San Francisco without experiencing Asia SF.

5 Stars: We had fun! (by cutiepi)

We had a great time at AsiaSf for my friends bachelorette party.
The food was great, the atmosphere was fun and the Ladies of AsiaSF are beautiful.
The DJ played a little bit of everything, and even took requests - and played them!
I asked for "My Humps" and got to hear it. That may have bothered the last reviewer but I loved it!

5 Stars: I Love Asia SF if it wasn't for ONE thing... (by psychogasm)

Okay, let's make this clear: the food is good. the bartenders are great. the performers are dolls. the club is free. So what's the deal with the crap DJ downstairs? I go to Asia SF on a regular basis, and I always enjoy myself. But i think the DJ only has five songs to choose from because that's pretty much the variation that we had. I think the max times I can hear My Hump is once. Five times kills the mood. Great joint, bad DJ. Very bad DJ. Leave the lipsyncing to the Ladies upstairs, dork.

5 Stars: Better than expected! Had a blast (by cwc11090)

My boyfriend and I originally went for the entertainment and was not really expecting a lot out of food because most places that offer shows is about the show and not the food. Boy were we surprised. It was absolutely great! The menu was a fixed price that allowed each person to choose an appetizer, main course and then dessert. I recommend getting different dishes and sharing. I HIGHLY recommend the their version of the banana split.

I came here for a celebration party, the food was pretty good, nothing really stood out. I also ordered 2 drinks, which were ok, also nothing special. The staff there were nice, and the show was only ok, also nothing special. I paid over $50 for the dinner, which I thought was very expensive. I don't think it was worth the $50.

the meal was outstanding! the bar staff was really friendly, and
the girls were hot. i had no idea it was going to be that
good, but i guess that's why it's so busy all of the time. our bartender,
bruce, took care of us really well, and even took out some barstools
because we are two bigger guys. we had the porcupines (shrimp and scallop
spring rolls - yum), the asia-dilla (quesa dilla w/ duck - wow), crab cakes,
lamb, filet mignon, and the ribs. everything was so delicious! the wine list
was amazingly diverse - apparently they've received awards from wine spectator
for their wine list, then dessert was chocolate cake and ice cream for my friend and
pineapple cheese cake for me.

My dad and mom came out to visit and it was the best night out they had in San Francisco! The food was totally unexpectedly good, the ribs were my favourite and everybody loved the banana beignets. The shows were over the top good, the girls are amazing!! their performances were funny and talented, our server Nya does a dance routine that made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Personally when most "normal" restaurants in the city are $40 a pop, this is a good deal!

1 Stars: don't even bother (by scorpiobaby)

What a rip off! 18 of us went there for a friends birthday, and even though reservations were made for 18, they said they could only accommodate 15 when we got there. Service was practically non-existent, and when they did show up they were very rude. Food was okay, but you never got a full plate, it all came out appetizer style so you only got a few small bites of each plate. The bill, including the 20% gratuity automatically added in, came out to about $1800 ($100 person), and then they had the nerve to come back and tell us that we shorted them on the bill and we owed another $80! Don't even bother, you're better off having nice dinner and then going to a real strip club - you'll save more money.

3 Stars: The draw is the atmosphere only (by tankz)

I was really excited about going to this restaurant due to all the positive reviews. After dining there, I was not really impressed. The food is nothing special, as I had better asian fusion food else where. The main appeal are the drag queens and the show they put on. Without it, this place wouldn't draw a crowd, whom were mostly women.

5 Stars: The Best Time (by zion32)

Paul & Noah gave us the best Bachelorette party ever! We had a great private area complete with a stripper pole! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it! Scavenger hunt...fun! Music was awesome, we danced all night. We were given VIP access to other clubs but nobody wanted to leave AsiaSF! Noah and Paul were so attentive. I would and I do recommend AsiaSF (and Noah and Paul) to everyone! Noah and Paul took care of all of the details for us. They make the planning easy and treat us like royalty when we get there. On the way out all the girls spent about 15 minutes saying goodbye to the staff because they make you feel like you have been friends with them forever. For bachelorette parties you definitely get more than your money's worth...and memories to last (and laugh about) for a lifetime!

4 Stars: AsiaSF (by daveywavey)

I have been to AsiaSF many times, it is not a drag bar. Drag bars are bars where men pretend to be over the top famous performers such as Cher. AsiaSF performers, are petite flowers that not only look like women, but even some women are left gasping at their beauty. I think the food has always been good. Try those baby back ribs one time and you will nver forget them. I also had the chocolate cake. ( YUM YUM ). As far as price, the girls are not only working the floor but also put on a show every hour!!!!

2 Stars: This place has really gone downhill (by bubblet)

I used to bring friends here and do the $35 menu which was a great deal. I went this weekend and boy have things changed for the worse. The waitress, who used to come and hang out, chat, take pictures with guests etc., I think made ONE visit to our table with the drinks. Thereafter, the busboy brought our food out. AsiaSF had somehow managed to pack the restaurant with more tables than usual so it was hard to squeeze through the seating areas. And with all the people crammed in there, the place got super hot and stuffy. As for the service, everything seemed to come at once so there was no room on the table for all the plates. Then the dessert started coming but our salmon hadn't arrived yet. We flagged down the guy bringing the food and let him know. Soon after, another busboy brought more dessert and then the check...still no salmon. Finally, long after the dessert had come out and the check was on the table, the salmon arrived. What were we supposed to do with that now?? To top that, they had forgotten our chocolate volcano cake. So I flag down a man in a suit who looks like he might be in charge. He offers to take one of the salmon dishes off the bill and bring a round of shots. He also goes looking for our chocolate volcano cake. After what seemed like forever, another busboy comes along with our cake and our shots. The volcano cake, which used to be my favourite of all time, was so overcooked there was no lava spilling out of the cake. Instead it was rock solid all the way through. And the bill for someone who didn't drink? $78 including tax and mandatory 20% tip. This place used to be fun and the food delicious. Now it's hurried, disorganized, overpriced, over crowded, and generally not a good time. Just too bad. We won't be going back.

5 Stars: I love Ginger! (by dinerbunny)

When it comes to dining, the service makes it or brakes it...Asia SF made it! Yes...the menu is restricted, the place is incredibly expensive, but when you're ready to splurge...the ladies make it all worthwhile.
We took my BF there for his birthday, and he still believes he's never eaten better. Food is great, sharing recommended and it adds to the fun. Drinks are awesome, and well, the service came in a gorgeous package with the manners of a lady only "Missmanners" herself could have raised.
The shows are a lot of fun, but we were particular to our Ginger as the best on stage. Overall an awesome, super fun evening, sure to keep you laughing, drinking, and smiling. Perfect for a celebration!

4 Stars: Great introduction to SF (by tommypickle)

Food was decent.. nothing too great. Sort of like white washed asian cuisine. If you like hole in the wall places to get your Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai food, then you won't be too impressed with their new take on basic dishes. If you like your mongolian beef, and think that lemon chicken is exotic, you're in for a thrill.

"Gender illusionists" were entertaining, flirty, and confusing. Very fun show. Shows on the hour. Was very entertained.

Drinks were actually a good value, especially the unfiltered sake... The foo-foo drinks were just what you'd expect -- foo-foo expensive.

This place is really fun to go to when you're in the mood for a dining event with friends -- when dinner *is* your evening and not just the beginning of it.

We had a great time at my bachelorette party here! The food was great, drinks strong, and our server, Raquel, was friendly, fast, and sexy! The other customers were all smiling too. Some people think it's on the expensive side but just like at an amusement park, the menu helps pay for the atmosphere, which I wouldn't change one whit. My friends and I are rather wild, and we fit right in at the club downstairs. All of us appreciated Noah and Paul's work to make our evening seamless - no one had to worry about a thing. I felt like a true VIP, and I think the 3 other bachelorettes that night did as well.

5 Stars: TRULY AMAZING (by spellcaster)

WOW...Amazing food and the girls were gorgeous! I will recommend this restaurant to everyone! The atmosphere is nothing but FUN FUN FUN!! The club downstairs was fun but too many girls! Needed some MEN...It was expensive but worth it..I would take a group there and share the food....

5 Stars: The Girls Can't Help It! (by MarkeBieschke_Citysearch)

I love the family at Asia SF -- so fierce! Even though the place is packed with bachelorettes it's still one of the most San Francisco places around. Loving you!
