The service was so disinterested and distracted. Food was uninspiring; decor was lackluster and the price tag... the only thing spectacular about this restaurant!!!
There are more options than you realize in the neighborhood. Filled with museum tourists, locals have wanted to like this place but cannot. Better off eating Metropolitan Museum food!

I would come here any day of the week. This place is great! From the food, to the service its wonderful. The staff is very personable and make you feel very comfortable. If you have never been here, you are missing out.

I was here on a Sunday for a birthday brunch. We were seated upstairs in a private room with a beautiful chandelier. Service was quick and very attentive. Their butternut squash ravioli is delicious and pancakes with bananas were great too. A definite stop before exploring the Guggenheim or other museums nearby.

Pros: Near museums, Nice Ambience

Cons: Pricey

We were here for lunch and were seated promptly in the bright, comfortable dining room. Service was prompt, attentive and friendly. The food was good. A great choice!

Pros: Food, Service

Cons: price

We found this little gem in our travel guide for NYC. The first time there was magical, a warm, rainy night with a great table for two. Several tables over were guards from the Metropolitain Mueseum and the neighborhood regulars. Good Italian food but ask for the first floor, we went back again and were seated in a hot room upstairs with no atmosphere or air conditioning. The staff and management are very helpful and fun.

Tried the Caffe after visiting The Met. The Caffe was recommended by a doorman down the street. We sat at one of the two tables located near the window. Found everything to be very solid. The food, the wine and the staff are very good. Not a standout, but a nice quiet place to enjoy good food and good company.
