I made an on-line reservation in January for a June 2012 two night stay to complete at the Buffalo Springs 70.3 IM. The price for the hotel was higher per night than the hotels normal rate. The reservation required a minimum of a two night stay. I only needed one night. But I figured, Its the event hotel and it would be nice to stay there along with other athletes to enjoy the seminars and vendors.\r\n\r\nI was injured in April and it required surgery which meant that I could not compete. When I tried to cancel my reservation in May, 2012 I was informed that I could cancel but that I would lose the entire amount of the stay since this was an Advance Purchase. I went back and read the fine print on the on-line reservation and found a fine print statement that I would lose the deposit. I guess the hotel management figures that they can optimize profits by imposing such strict rules when the hotel is busiest. I am really disappointed they choose to do business like this. If I cannot get my $$ back. Holiday Inn will never get my business again. \r\n
