I can't even begin to express my gratitude to haim and what he did with my hair. I've lived in new york for many years now and finding the right stylist for my hair seemed near impossible until I came to lifestyleSalon and met haim. Unlike most hairdressers he spoke with me before my hair cut to ask and talk about what I was looking for and what I wanted and sure did he listen! While I am not one to usually compliment myself, I have to say that my hair looks absolutely beautiful and all the credit goes to haim Not only will I be back again and again, but all my friends will know about lifestyle salon.

I had a WONDERFUL first experience at this salon. haim, did a great job on the color and took extra time at the end because even though I thought it looked fine he wasn't quite satisfied - and he was right, he added a little more color that really put that extra spark in it! And he gave me a great haircut despite the challenge of working with a really short, really bad previous cut I had gotten someplace else.

It is so refreshing to look in the mirror now and smile instead of cringe!

I have been going here for almost a year and recommend it to all of my friends. I actually just saw Adam for a trim and he did a really nice job. My hair feels much healthier... I'm just really happy with it. I was worried that he would have to cut a lot off because my ends dry very easily, but he was able to keep my length while trimming it up. Adam didn't push any products or extra services which is something I really can't stand (I don't like feeling pressured to spend more money.) I really recommend seeing Adam at Lifestyle!

I had just recently moved to the NYC area about a year ago... I been to several places but no one could understand my hair. Until I met benji.... He such an amazing stylist.. I didn't have to say much, he understood exactly what I wanted.. And truth be told he even did a better job than what I expected... What amazed me is that he used 2 pairs of scissors at the same time!!!!!!! It was the best cut I ever had...I also had a color and highlight. By him.. That too was the best color I've gotten done and at a such reasonable price... Can't wait to go back...

This was my first trip to the Lifestyle Salon. Maria cut my hair and I was thrilled with the results. It looks great, and my husband complimented the cut enthusiastically. If you are looking for a fabulous cut at an incredible price, this is the place.

I got my hair cut a week ago by Adam. I was pretty impressed when I left the salon but knew that the true test would come once I had to wash and style it myself, because I really don't do much with my hair and sometimes you come out looking fantastic only to find you can't duplicate what the stylist has done yourself. But Adam gave me some pointers and even if I do nothing and just let it air dry, which is usually the case, it still looks really great. I'm trying to grow my hair out long so that was a big concern- I didn't want him to take off too much. Not only did he honor that request, when I went to work, someone actually said to me: what did you do with your hair- it looks longer! Great experience, great hair cut! Would totally recommend this place!

Where to begin! So much to say...first of all: I've been to several salons over the past 5 or 6 years, all over the city...and I'm never happy with the way I'm treated by the staff, let alone the cut itself. I started thinking maybe I was just being too critical! Then I started going to Lifestyle Salon around a year and a half ago. This place is fantastic! First and foremost, the staff is amazing! They are so friendly...and not fake-friendly...they're sincere! There's not a snob in the bunch! The men and women that make up their team are not only well educated and highly experienced in what they do, they don't make you feel intimidated. I get my haircuts, dye-jobs, Japanese straightening processes by Summer. She is so talented and amazing. The first time I went to Lifestyle was to correct a hack-job of a haircut that I got in a place in Queens. Summer did a great job correcting my cut...from then on she's been the only person that I will let touch my hair. I've watched how the other hairstylists work...they listen to their clients...they offer suggestions...did I mention that THEY LISTEN TO THEIR CLIENTS!!! I could not be more pleased with the end results every time I leave this salon. Oh, and they could be charging outrageous bucks for their services, but they are very reasonable. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who truly wants a positive salon experience...without the snobbery that usually goes with the territory.

I went to lifestyle salon with limp hair that was damaged and lifeless, and walked out with healthy hair that is full of body.haim gave me an amazing cut!!! And, I could tell he actually cared about giving me the kind of look and cut I wanted. he also gave me great tips on how to style my hair and which products to use. And on top of really knowing what he was doing, he was funny and super sweet.
He did a great job on my highlights.I?ve gotten more compliments on my new hair cut than I?ve ever gotten before. I actually had to go shopping for some new hip clothes to match my hair.
everyone was so nice from the receptionist to the stylist to the shampoo people. You won't be disappointed!

What a great salon! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone. Adam was my stylist, and he did an amazing job! He took the time to listen to what I wanted, and gave me an amazing cut with beautiful color. For years I have had my hair professionally cut and colored, and never before have I received so many compliments! He has a true understanding of customer service. He was constantly offering to get me things, such as, magazines, drinks, etc. I didn't feel like I was just another client. I was also impressed with the friendliness of the rest of the staff in the salon. Even though I was Adam's client, everyone in the salon treated me as though I was their client as well. The salon has a great atmosphere. Very clean. Very modern. Very friendly. Overall, I walked out very satisfied. And, my hair looks great!!! What more could you ask for? worth all the hype. My color has never looked better. BENJI is a color genius!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially with Blonde hair. I have gone to other salons but have NEVER BEEN THIS HAPPY. I read the other reviews and have to say that benji is great.
The color was a perfect, natural looking blonde and after 2 and a half months it still looked just as natural. I have gotten my hair done since at a new place closer to home and I was completely dissatisfied. I would spend any price for the services at lifestyle salon.

Not what I expected for first impression. I was greeted fairly. But the waiting area is not invitable at all. There is no where to hang a sweater/jacket and no where to place your things. Haim was my stylist and he was juggling 2 people at one time. I had color and highlights and another stylist had to do my color because he was blowing someone's hair while Melinda ( I think that is her name) washed (and she was suppose to apply the color)

I heard from my recommendation that pricing was reasonable. Even from looking at the website and I could not believe my ears when I was told the amount. My hair was short to begin with and not a whole lot of it and the cost was over $200!!!!!!.......I did not LOVE the hair like I was told I would and it was totally not worth the $$$. I think they should work on comfortable seats for hair washing. My neck was in such pain.

Not impressed at all with Haim. He seemed like he was trying too hard. His energy seemed fake.Benji ( I think that's his name) I liked. He was the one who applied the color and I thought he was really personable. I should have chosen him instead. But we all learn from our mistakes.

I've lived in NY most of my life and have been to just about every top stylist and colorist in the city. We recently moved to NJ and now I'm going into the city to have my hair cut by Adam Lugashi. Of all the stylists and colorists I've been to, he is the only one who really knows how to color and style my hair. He takes the time to listen to me and really knows my hair. I always leave the salon feeling refreshed and beautiful!

so i have worked in salons all my life, from sf to nyc. i haven't been happy with my hair for awhile. i used to work in a very upscale salon in midtown manhattan and i thought that i would never get a better haircut anywhere else. i was introduced to tina by a friend and went a checked her out. i gave her my crazy description of what i was wanting, and believe or not, she worked it out!! my hair has never looked so good, all my friends have noticed that i look amazing!! even my boyfriend noticed the difference! thanks tina, i love my hair and will never see anyone else!! thank you thank you, i feel super hot again! work it out girl!

Haim will do EXACTLY what I ask for, each time.
If I feel like going crazy he will be completely honest and even dare to disagree with me, and justify why or why not I should go for a certian look.
Always relaxing, great atmosphere, full attention and a lot of thought put into the haircut.

It's been 2 years and I always come home with a huge smile on my face!

I have a relatively simple hairstyle and it's hard to make it spectacular. I went to Lifestyle Salon on a recommendation from a friend and had a fabulous experience. The people at the salon were all friendly and Tina is a doll - so much fun to talk to and a very good listener.Tina took her time with my hair, doing a number of touch-ups even after it was dried, and did a fantastic job. 3 weeks later I am still very pleased. she was kind and complimentary and didn't insist on putting lots of product in my hair so it was one of the first times I've stepped out of a salon and not wondered what my hair would look like on a normal (product-less) day. Great experience.

FINALLY!!! someone who knows how to do color and highlights. i can't belive i spend so much money and time looking for a good hairstylist all over the city while there was a one under my nose.FANTASTIC!!! nick gave me fantastic haircut, fixed my botched color and highlights without any fuss.Actually he made forget that i even had bad hair. Go see Tina!!! I have never had such a great stylist before! i went to her on a recommendation of a friend of mine from school, and im so glad i did! She Did a half head of highlights and a hair cut and everyone keeps complimenting me, even strangers.
Everyone in there has their own style and great energy. What a great downtown feel.

I made an appointment with Haim the style director for a haircut and straight dry. When I make the appointment over the phone I was told it would be $65.00. When I got to the salon Haim was running a few minutes late but not a problem I waited and got washed. The place is very small but cute in its own way. Haim apologized and asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. What I got was completly different. After he cut my hair, his receptionist Lindsey who answers the phone began to straighten my hair. Haim went over to help two other clients. I thought I was paying for him to do my hair, not the receptionist. The receptionist took over an hour to do my hair, and kept apologizing that she wasn't very good because she was in TRAINING. You have to be kidding me!-- Haim kept apologizing, and I just said whatever because I was in shock that the receptionist was doing my hair. After she finally finished he came over to DRY CUT my hair. I have never had that done before but it was such a mistake. When I went to pay I asked for a student discount and he told me he usually charges $75 but he would charge me $70. I was quoted $65 on the phone. So much for that 10% student discount. When I got home I looked in the mirror at my new hair and the right side was over 2 inches longer than the left in one section of my hair. I thought I was seeing things but then my friend said um who cut your hair because it is uneven. I am so dissapointed after paying all of that money and not having the great experience everyone else had. I ended up having to go to another hair salon to have it fixed, and the stylist there told me my hair was completly uneven. I am soooo upset. Whatever you do, steer clear or Lifestyles hair salon!

After i read all the great reviews here i had to try it out for myself.
I have very curly hair and for a long time i was looking for a reliable place.
Well i found it, Haim the director, made my hair look superbe.
Since the moment that i sat in the chair i felt so comfortable. and seems that he really knows what he is doing. After the cut he suggested to put some sunlights in. Well now i am hooked! i love them i am so glad i listened. My hair looks great and my color is natural, and now i am ready fo rthe summer!

I have just moved to NYC from Washington DC and i was in need of a new colorist, because i made the mistake of coloring my hair by myself.
Haim the owner of the salon took care of me. Fabulous! I got the best hair cut and color ever!!!
The staff was so nice, i was waiting for four hours because the long process, and they even orderd me lunch!
Best service, best atmoshere, and best color in the world!!!
Strongly recommend this place!

I highly recommend this salon. I had a great experience, I had a wedding to go to and had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. The staff was very helpful, the hairstylist knew exactly what they were going to do with my hair, very professional! My hair turned out fantastic, I had curls that were gorgeous and it stayed in tact throughout the whole night! I love this place.

I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair since I started coming here. I am not someone who knows much about hair, my own or others, but I always walk away with a cut I am happy with. Lifestyle salon is neat and clean and the prices are very reasonable (especially for the area)

From the sweet receptionist to the extra long massage at the shampoo bowl, and then in to the chair of a true artist..my hair looks amazing. Talk about full service.

I had an event to go to and i was in a real rush and my hair was such a complete mess.
Needless to say i walked in to LifeStyle and begged for someone to give me a quick blowdry..Even tho they were packed the receptionist went out of her way to fit me in.
Well i was sat in Kimi's chair-Totally awsome! he gave me beautiful loose jessica simpson curls and i walked out ready to take on the night.

I had a hair disaster at home! I used one of those highlight at home kits to a horrible result and went to another salon that made it worse. I decided to try this place. A friend had recommended Sally for color. Omg! She SAVED my hair!! I really was almost in tears thinking it would suffer the fate of the shears lol but she saved it! It looks awesome. Perfect color and I only had to lose half an inch for the trim. Really amazing. For real. Client for life. Thank u soooo much!

I have had a lot of bad experiances with my hair and stylist tending to go crazy with their scissors.
But thanks to the help of Lifestyle Salon i have found a reliable place, with friendly staff and people who really care about what they are doing.
Haim really went out of his way to squeeze me in and it was well worth it!

I recently took a trip to Paris for an exhibition which I was a part of. I was so busy that I forgot to get my hair done. The day b4 I was to leave, I decided to find someplace to get it done. After some searching I found this place. It was easy for me to get to since its right near union square. Sally was my stylist. She was awesome. Polite friendly and cool! She rocked may hair! The color and cut she gave me was awesome. I left feeling ready to take on paris. At the exhibition I felt like people were talking to me more about my hair than my art!!! It really stole the show! I am not jealous, though! I didn't mind sharing the spotlight with my hair! Ahahahaha......go here. Its amazing!!!

I just happen to pass Lifestyle salon last week, and i popped in thinking i probably wouldn't be able to fit in right that second, but they were so accomadating and sqeezed me right in.
The cut was great, and everyone was so nice.
I have thin straggly hair and i walked out with a ton of body :)
Plus the cut didn't look like it was just chopped, it was blended so well!
Best cut i have had in a looong time.

I have been going to Sally for 3 or so years now. She originally rescued me from over processed long blond hair. I have had shoulder length shiny honey blonde hair, a short bob that was my natural color only with a kick, and I even once tried some red. She is amazing and I trust her completely. I sometimes feel like she is my therapist and not just my stylist, lol. Also, this salon is really super cute and the entire staff are really nice. I always enjoy my visits and leave feeling amazing.

I am really happy with Lifestyle because of one thing: sheer talent. I have been impressed with the results every time that I go to Haim. I had him cut my hair very short and it is the best short hair style I've had--it is flattering and frames my face well, and I receive compliments from others which is always a great indicator of quality. Oh, and that I like the vibe there--it is NOT pretentious, another great reason to check out Lifestyle Salon.

I was optimistic about going to this salon, good review after good review. But my color was botched and my cut horrible, not to mention it was nearly 200$$. I am very upset, and as a struggling artist, I cannot afford to get it fixed. Extremely disappointing.

lifestyle is so great! everyone is very friendly, from Haim (sp?) the owner, who greets me by name, to the supercute receptionist to the adorable assistant Mercedes. Kimi gives fantastic cuts and blowouts - i'm addicted. he's very careful and a bit dramatic - fun to watch. the price is right, location is great, and i walk out every time feeling amazing.

I can't say enough good things about this salon. The setting is warm and beautiful so is the staff.
I really look forward to getting my hair done here, I think I have seen every stylist at some point. I have always left feeling like a movie star.
After my last visit I was even given a holiday gift and a cute chocolate hairdryer. The service is top notch, but the way Haim and his staff make me feel like I am a person who matters in a city that can sometimes seem so big and cold, especially during the holidays is wonderful. Thanks so much.

I HAVE NOW BEEN TO LIFSTYLE SALON 3 TIMES, AND I JUST HAD TO ADD TO MY INITIAL REVIEW. NOT ONLY DID I GET THE SUPERIOR SERVICE I AM ACCUSTOMED TO GETTING AT LIFSTYLE, BUT THE SALON DIRECTOR HAIM GAVE ME ANOTHER OF HIS LOW MAINTENANCE, GORGEOUS CUTS, WHILE I SIPPED A GREEN TEA GIVEN TO ME ALMOST AS SOON AS I WAS IN THE DOOR. I WENT THERE WITH A TREMENDOUS HEADACHE AND GOT A NECK MASSAGE TO BOOT. THIS TIME, I WANTED TO SEE WHAT MY HAIR LOOKED LIKE STRAIGHT (IT IS CURLY!!!) AND IN ADDITION TO BLOWING OUT MY HAIR PERFECTLY, HE WAS GIVING ME INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DO IT MYSELF-EASILY! MY HUBBY, FRIENDS AND COWORKERS WERE AMAZED AT HOW SUPER SILKY STRAIGHT MY HAIR WAS, AND IT STAYED THAT WAY UNTIL I WASHED IT. I was in Union Sq shopping on Black Friday and decided to get my hair down on a whim. I assumed I wouldn't be able to find one that could take a walk-in. Luckily for me, they squeezed me in. They were really good to me here. It was a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the union square shoppers! If you want a hot new look and a competitive price, GO HERE!

This is by far the best salon for the price. Excellent stylists and its affordable. I dont havee a lot of $$ to spend being that I am a single parent living in NYC. So its important that I save some money and get a good cut. I have gone to both Haim and sally with fab results. you wont be dissapointed! Cheers!

I have been going to Sally for eyars and she has done the best haircuts and color I have ever had. I constantly change my hair dramatically. From Red to blonde to black etc. She always is completely honest when giving me options and is the sweetest person. I feel like shes my psychiatrist. I always feel better after comingto her for a cut and color. I have been giong to her for years and she recently began working at this salon. I like this place the best of all teh places she has been. its professional friendly, clean and teh otehr employees are nice and friendly as well. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED.
