I went to Kurt and he did a really good job on the hair cut. I am never sure until I go home and style it myself but it looked good when I did it at home and I am not good at styling my hair. I will go back to hime for sure. The salon was clean and I liked the products that he used on my hair:)

I have been going to Amy for years, and when I found out she moved to Morpheus I thought it was a match made in Heaven! The atmosphere at the salon is a great mix of trendy and quirky and it always feels very intimate to me.

Amy is an amazing hair dresser. I have referred so many people to her and I only hear what a wonderful experience they had. She always listens to what you are looking for and produces a top notch cut for your noggin. And dont get me started on her mad coloring skills. It must be second nature to her.

If you are looking for great hair and a great place to get it done, GO SEE AMY AT MORPHEUS!

Amy has been cutting my hair for 4 years now! I won't let anyone else touch my hair except for her. She always gives me the greatest shape to my hair, and I get compliments from total strangers daily. I've resulted to carrying around her business cards and telling people to ask for the "Melanie" when they inquire about my hair.

After months and months of searching for a new salon, I ran across Morpheus via a friend's recommendation. Since going that first time, I have been loyal, and will continue to go in the future, as long as Amy is there! I would follow this girl anywhere! She always cuts my hair the way I like it, she always listens when I tell her how much I want to cut, whether it's short or long. As an added bonus, she is the only person that has ever waxed my eyebrows the way I like!! I highly recommend this salon to someone in search of a new stylist.

I never go into a nice salon for a hair cut, but i was driving by and thought why not. The place was very stylish and the girl Amy who worked there gave me a great cut. She also gave me styling tips and was very professional which I thought was great. I would recommend this place to anyone who expects a little extra at a salon.

When you call Amy answers and if you have never been there she recommends Amy. She doesn't know what she is doing and had to get Kurt to tell her what to do to my hair. Then she didn't listen and my hair is red. I had a bad feeling when I went in there and I should have high tailed in out of there. I will NEVER go back!!

After years of the same all one lenght, middle of the back hairstyle, I was ready for something different. Amy listened to my needs/desires on length, ease of maintenance, etc... and then proceeded to give me the perfect cut. I couldn't have been happier and won't be going anywhere else after this!

Awesome! That's what! I haven't had my hair cut in over 2 years....maybe 3. Long...straggly and ugly! I was ready to shave my head! In desperation I contacted Kurt for a drastic makeover. He listened to what I wanted, but I had no concrete idea of a hairstyle, just that I wanted it shorter, frame my face better and easy to manage. He did a wonderful style. I like looking at myself in a mirror again and OH! the compliments that I got at work the next day! And I can also give a thumbs up on hair color. He was finishing a color when I got there and I saw her leave. Beautiful! I don't know if it's called streaking or frosting, but it was very becoming. I also got a mini-facial and eyebrow shaping while I was there. Robin did the best job that I've had on my brows. The facial? Ah! What can I say? I felt like a millionaire in an expensive resort being pampered to the max!

Was dissatisfied w/old hairdresser. Saw Kurt/Morpheus highly recommended online and decided to try them out. I wanted highlights/lowlights and a cut. Kurt listened and did an absolutely wonderful job. I have never had a colorist/stylist listen to what i wanted and then do exactly what I asked for, but with their expertise and experience thrown in to make it even better. I got a $400 color and style for $155. The salon is very clean, pleasant and Kurt and his staff were friendly and polite. Great location. Will definitely be back!!!!

I had my first haircut and highlight with Kurt recently, and he did a great job! It is the first time that I have loved both the haircut and highlights at the same time in years. I can't be more happier and pleased with the results. My hair feels so healthy and has a lot of shine. The highlights are very natural-looking. Kurt's prices are very reasonable. He has the best clients, too! I went in on a Saturday, and was able to meet some of his long-time clients. It was a great way to start my weekend. I will be going back to Kurt for a long time to come. You must go see him.

I've trusted my hair to Kurt for so many years I can't imagine letting anyone else cut or color it. He is definately the best. Morpheus is the type of salon that you feel at home the minute you walk in. It's bright, clean and very hip. Even my 17 year old son has become a devotee. You won't be disappointed in the service, great place, great people.

I changed over to Kurt about 4 years ago since my hairdresser had passed away. I enjoy going to Kurt because he is consistent in his color and hair cuts. Also, I usually can get in and out with color, haircut and styling under 1-1/2 hours. At this time my daughter (age 23) and my husband also go to Kurt. He is set up to do the whole family.

I've been going to Kurt for years and I wouldn't trust my hair to anyone else. He's the greatest! My hair is extremely thin and somewhat sparse. Kurt always manages to "work miracles". I have complete trust in him and his work. I also like that he is so "down to Earth" and has a great personality. I couldn't ask for a better hair stylist. He gives fantastic hair cuts and color.

Kurt and Robin are the BEST. I have been going to Morpheus for years. They are very well-priced. Kurt does amazing blonde highlights and is flexible with your schedule. (They get you in and out within an hour)

Kurt not only gives me perfect long-lasting color for my hair he also transforms me in less than an hour and a half without compromising results. Morpheus is very casual up beat and clean. Love the fine lines and simplicity of the decor. Kurt is great at working clients into his schedule. I love the hair products. Must check it out. Great haircuts and styles too.

I have been going to Morpheus for 3 or 4 years. Kurt is the only person I will trust to cut and color my hair. I have also received spa treatments from Robin, like eyelash dye, and she is professional, thorough, and truly motivated to do the best job possible. Kurt and Robin have the best salon by far. After years of tolerating those impersonal mall-chain, so-called "salons," I have finally found the true salon I will go to forever!

What I really like about Kurt at Morpheus is the consistency. You know how, at some salons, you'll get a great cut or color one time, and the next time, the same stylist does just a so-so job or really screws it up? That never happens with Kurt. When you find a cut or color that you like, he can keep it just right for you. And if you want a different style or color, he can make that happen too. He makes sure he understands what you're trying to accomplish before he starts cutting. I've never been unhappy with a Kurt cut.

They are amazing with color! I have auburn hear with more than a little grey, which can be really tricky...but thanks to Kurt, my hair is natural and shiny, with no hint that the color is NOT my own. But, in addition to the awesome job they do with the services they offer, these guys will become your friends quickly. They are really down to earth and it is always fun to visit with them while I am there. The prices are reasonable and they STAY ON TIME (which everyone knows is about as rare as a doctors' office staying on time). The only down side is that because they don't overbook, they fill up a couple weeks in advance sometimes, so I usually make my next appointment when I am leaving. I don't trust my hair to anyone else!

Kurt Bollman at Morpheus has cut and highlighted my hair for many years. I have baby fine hair that is very thin but Kurt always makes it look great. When I bring in a picture of a hair style Kurt is aways willing to discuss how he can modify the style to work with my hair type. My highlights are very natural looking even though my hair is probably 50% gray. I enjoy the flexibility of being able to get my hair done in the evening after work. When traveling I have gone to the most high profile salons in many of the major cities in the U.S. and Europe and found them to be much more expensive and the results have been disappointing. The staff is always friendly and courteous at Morpheus and the parking is right outside the door. I am always happy to recommend Morpheus to anyone asking where I get my great haircut.

Kurt has been doing my highlights and they are always fabulous! I am a blonde and very particular about looking natural and Kurt always does a perfect job! The salon is in an easy location to get to, has parking right outside the front door, and is very clean and well lit. My only hesitation in writing this review is that word will get out and I won't be able to get my appointments! :-)

I went to Morpheus for the first time and I will definitely be going back.

I have medium length wavy-ish hair (depending on the weather) and like to get highlights on my mousey brown hair. I don't want a homogenous bleach blonde and I don't want obvious streaks or chunks. I have been to many, many salons in austin, houston, and new york, and there is usually something a little off every time.
Amy, who cut and colored my hair, is likeable, unpretentious, and she did a wonderful job!! Highlights are perfect in amount and consistency. They are not chunky or streaky, and are blended seamlessly. It looks like my hair is naturally like that. It's great.

The price was reasonable for multiple color highlights and a haircut. And the parking was easy.

I highly recommend!!

Kurt has been my hairdresser for longer than I care to admit. If I had to go to someone else or if he disappeared from the planet I would be traumatized and likely would never recover. My hair is long and thick and he doesn't complain about that. Some hairdressers have refused to work with it. He colors my hair and it amazes me how natural it looks and feels. Kurt is an excellent hairdresser.....the best.... and after all these years I consider him and Robin friends. The atmosphere at the salon is relaxed and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

I was so pleased with my recent haircut from Amy at Morpheus. I have pretty thick hair and some curls, so my hair can get a little wild and big (especially in Houston's humidity!), and it was all dried out from being dyed and cut far too infrequently. Somehow, despite these challenges, Amy managed to cut it so that even when I do absolutely nothing to it other than let it air dry it still looks amazing and healthy. And finally my hair looks like it has an actual style!

The salon is small and minimalistic, which is good - it's not overwhelming like some of the mega-salons in town. It seems that everyone at Morpheus gets plenty of personal attention.

With the 20% citysearch discount for new customers, it was also a great value!

Thanks Amy, for my new pretty hair!

So, I just moved here from San Antonio and was nervous about finding and trying out a new hair colorist and stylist. I discovered Morpheus on my morning commute a few weeks back and vowed to be adventurous and give it a shot. (I even put in a referral for them before making an appointment myself, based solely on Morpheus's retro-hip exterior.) After a stressful two weeks at work, I found unexpected solace and relaxation while I let my new colorist work her magic (almost fell asleep in the chair a few times). Bottomline: Amy made the "cut" (both literally and metaphorically, of course)! :-) I enjoyed my time at the salon, I LOVE catching a glimpse of my freshly goldened locks, and I'll definitely be going back. I recently moved back to the Houston area proper from the burbs and had no idea where to go for a really great cut without paying an exorbitant amount. Thanks to this website I found it. Morpheus is a smaller salon so the staff is attentive, easy going, friendly and extremely talented to boot. Amy was my stylist, but the owner, Kurt, was there as well, and on a Saturday no less. I wanted to go from long to short and she took the time to ask how long I had been thinking about doing it before she started cutting. (They suggested donating it to Locks of Love before I was even able to ask if they new anything about it. Very happy with that.) She was thorough, timely and quite adept with her scissors and razor. She showed me what products to use and how to use them. She gave me several ideas for other ways to style it as well. I couldn't be happier with my overall experience. The salon is clean, bright, comfortable and the atmosphere is modern without being overdone. I would and will recommend this salon to anyone looking for brilliant service, technique and personality. Quick aside, the client next to me had color done by Kurt and it was lovely. Thanks again for the great cut if you happen to read this Amy!

Nov. 20, 2008 Today was my second cut at Morpheus and I'm just as thrilled as I was the first time. I Robin take care of my brows after my cut and it was virtually painless and I love the results. Amy was just as gracious and friendly as ever and I have nothing but great things to say about this salon. Hope you give it a try.

I went to see Kurt after 2 very blah haircuts with my old hairdresser - I think she was more interested in talking than listening to my problems with my haircut. When I went to Kurt, I thought I knew what was needed to give my hair some bounce. Kurt listened, then discussed the problems with my current haircut and recommended some changes and POOF- my hair looked 100% better!

Finally a hairdresser that will take the time to listen and discuss alternatives...and his prices are very reasonable! Kurt is really focused on the client and it shows!

After seeing a good haircut on a co-worker and asking her where she had her hair done, I have had my hair cut and colored by Kurt for at least 5 years, possibly 6. I have been consistently pleased with both the cut and color. People have asked me on several occasions over the years where I get my hair done, and I am pleased to tell them about Kurt. I have always felt relaxed and not rushed in his and Robin's salon. It is in a good location and is always very clean and bright with enjoyable music and art. Wait time and parking for his customers have never been a problem. Kurt and Robin are fun people and when I leave their salon, I feel great about my experience there!

I have tried tons of salons in Houston and have finally settled at Morpheus. Kurt does fantastic color/highlights and cuts. He listens to you, is quick and efficient, and always gives you what you want. After my first visit, my highlights weren't bright enough, so he added more without an extra charge. He aims to please. Prices are reasonable as well. I've paid a LOT more for color and cut and not come out nearly as satisfied. Try Kurt at Morpheus!

After seeing a great haircut on a former coworker back in 1990, I went to Kurt for a haircut and have been going to him exclusively ever since, except for one regretful experience in 1992, after which he graciously repaired the damage! He's been cutting, coloring, and styling my hair over all these years and we've been through many colors, lengths, and styles! I never fail to get compliments on my hair and I am regularly stopped in parking lots, grocery stores, malls, at work, and many other places by people asking where I have my hair done. It's quite a testament to Kurt's expertise and talent and the quality of his work. I have never had a bad haircut from Kurt. If I rarely notice any uneven strands, etc., he immediately takes care of it. Kurt and Robin are a great team and I always enjoy their friendliness, mirth, and camaraderie. Robin has a wonderful touch with her facials and they are both knowledgeable, professional, meticulous, and conscientious in their work. Their salon is tastefully decorated and always clean, fresh and bright. They always offer a complimentary beverage and have great background music. I couldn't be more pleased!

Kurt keeps all his techniques fresh and keeps up with the latest styles. Robin can make your skin feel and look wonderful, and Sharon is the best for all those "up do's" for special occasions. My husband and I have been going every 4 weeks for many years and always look forward to the friendliness.

Morpheus is a convenient and relaxed atmosphere. No pressure and greathair cuts and color. The salon is nice and clean and parking is no problem. Prices aren't too high. Never long waits either.

My husband, two daughters, grandson and I have gone to Kurt for years. He is an excellent stylist! I personally get compliments on my highlights and cut all the time. Strangers will stop me in the mall, while driving and parties to inquire where I get my hair done. Most of them are now current clients of Morpheus! Kurt stays current on all the current trends and cutting techniques. He is also fast! I typically am in and out in an hour and a half with highlights, cut and blowdry! I also have had facials and waxing done by Robin. She is truly gifted! Her facials are very relaxing and your skin feels awesome when you leave! I think if you are looking for quality hair and skin care, Morpheus is your salon!

The folks at Morpheus are some of the most efficient I've seen in the hairstyling business. Not a minute is wasted at Morpheus: no waiting for your stylist to finish with another client, no waiting for someone to wash your hair, no waiting to pay... Kurt, Sharon, and Robin know their routines and are experts at scheduling so your time is not wasted unecessarily. The salon has a modern and minimalist decor which I like, it is bright and airy. Parking is never a problem. Morpheus reminds me of that show "Cheers" - a place where everyone knows my name. My hair appointments feel like a visit with old friends as everyone at the salon is friendly and personable and always makes me feel welcome.

I have been coming to Sharon for about 6 months. When I first came in I had to have corrective color ( it was an at home project gone terribly wrong). I was starting a new job and could't go in with orange hair. Sharon helped me out and did a FANTASTIC job. The next visit was a perfectly stylish haircut customized just for me. I will continue to come back to Morpheus and Sharon for my hair. I have refered two friends to her who have both been extremely pleased. I've booked an updo with Sharon and my next appointment will be a facial with Robin. I've also seen Kurt's clients walk out of here looking great! I advise everyone to give this place a try. The atmosphere is relaxing and the music is great. They offer you a cold drink when you walk in. Talk about customer service! I'm a huge fan.

I have been going to Kurt for at least ten years. I get many compliments on my color (highlights). He is very consistent and it is always a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend this salon.
